I chose the half slab of ribs and pork chop. I was very pleased with the quality, taste, and portion size. The wait staff were great and the bartender was a little extra happy on amount per drink. Made for an excellent experience! Our new go-to for BBQ when in Chicago.

Such an excellent experience for our family. I came here with my own family when I was a kid and appreciate how old-school the place feels while also being plenty updated for the times. Comfortable, fancy atmosphere without any pretentiousness. The ribs and twice-baked potato are where it’s at. So fun! Our server was wonderful as well.

I Ordered Their Food For The First Time From Uber Eats ! Their BBQ Ribs Tips Bucket Is Okay Not Great , I Had Better From Walmart ! Also I Order Their Au Gratin Potatoes With Spinach ! I Should've Gotten Their Fries Instead And Maybe Something else . Their Au Gratin Taste Ok Looks Like Macaroni and Cheese . Their Spinach Was Disgusting AF Taste So Salty ???? Never Eating Here Again. They Give U alot in the bucket just doesn't taste good !

A good value, probably not the best steaks in Chicago but reasonably priced. The Tuscan loaf was some of the best restaurant bread I've ever had. Tasted heavenly dipped in the French onion soup.

Chicago Excursion review: So I am a steak aficionado. I judge a place by how they cook a steak. Carson's is top notch. Let's break it down:
Salad - Fresh Italian Vinagrette dressing, This was so good I could tell they made it in the back and our server confirmed it.
Bread - This was so fresh and perfect.
Mediterranean Wings - There are chicken wings and there are chicken wings done right. This was the latter.
Prime Rib - This was a cut that had no qualms about being the best. It was juicy, cooked to perfection and good god tasty.
Salt and Pepper Crusted Potato - If there was a fail this was it. The failure was the potato wasn't cooked fully. It was great when it came out but as the dining went on it cooled and the flaw showed. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to use a smaller potato or do an oven smash. (Carson's if you are reading this feel free to reach out and I'll explain it to you)
My wife had the Key Lime Pie and her being from Key West she actually said that she would bring this down to KW. That is a huge compliment.
What made up for the potato for me was the specially made dessert. The brownie dessert that sounded so good was a boy (It has nuts) so they gave me ice cream drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. SO GOOD!!!
Our server Kelsey was awesome and if you are lucky to get her as a server she will treat you great.

Carson’s is famous in Chicago and coming from Texas we were happy to tick it off the buck list!
We were thoroughly impressed with the ambiance and the food was phenomenal!!
Very generous portion sizes and the quality of the meat really exceeded our expectations. This place is an absolute must!! We will be dining here again next time we’re in Chicago.
Genuine 5 star experience!!!

5 star service, nice ambiance, but disappointed by the “famous” ribs and au gratin potato, which is reminiscent of convenience store food quality. Key lime pie dessert was a little on the small side but tasted fresh.

Coleslaw- Yes, smoked ribs- double Yes, 30oz steak - Yaas….. and a bucket off ribs to go? Hellz yaass…. Hahaha… I haven’t forgotten the lip smacking, finger lickin sticky ooey gooey ribs since my childhood days…. Great service, lovely food and in a completely different area since its days across from the old rocking roll McDs

Very tasty dishes. Too good to remember to take pictures before ate them. Drinks are decent. We ordered some bbq and a shrimp appetizer. Both are juicy and flavorful. The rib contains the original amazing taste of pork meat and not too salty, which impressed me most. The shrimp is fresh and the veggies comes with it are very good as well.

Food was amazing. Highly recommend. This place is affordable, and very generous food portions.cornbread was fresh and warm. Parking is validated at front desk after you leave. You will have a great time.

We wanted to try some ribs so we went here very lovely place. The design was truly amazing. I bought a baby back ribs and coleslaw, with also potatoes on the side. As well as my friend also. The ribs was so good and made just right. Definitely coming back here again. Thank You to the best server Christiana .

Very good food. Cornbread starter was really good. Caesar salad was very good; tasted amazing, must have had anchovies in it. The slab of ribs and au gratin potatoes were extremely good. Had leftovers! Wonderful service. Waitstaff attentive, polite, and masked up. Floor management excellent as well. No room for dessert. Dinner was well worth the price paid.

Fantastic lunch experience. The ribs were really good with the barbecue sauce. Coleslaw is a must try as well as the au gratin potatoes. Classy atmosphere and great service.
