Great burger place in a very scenic location. Excellent burgers and fries. Make sure to get a table outside so you can sit by the water.
Burgers are top notch for sure. Also they have a beautiful patio view of the river

I went back 2X because of the Chocolate Shake! 1st night was I only looking for the shake. The 2nd night, I had a burger cooked to order and their Milkshake and Fries combo. It was delicious!
My recommendation. Go on a Wednesday or Saturday evening, treat yourself there with a friend and sit out on the Riverwalk. You'll eat, relax and then see a great fireworks show over the Lakeshore Drive Bridge and the parade of boats and kayaks going and coming back in.

Ice cream machine always broke allegedly. But I think the lazy guy working the counter today at 3:00 was lying. I specifically asked the waitress outside if the shake machine was broken. She said nope , we been making them all afternoon. I live at 474 Lakeshore & go here often. EVERY time we ask for a shake they say the machine is broken.

I enjoyed the grilled cheese. The tomato was a surprisingly great addition. The fries and shake were great as well. Prices are a bit high but you expect this from hotel restaurants located downtown.

The location is very nice, right across from the river cruises and one of the last food spots on the river walk before hitting the end. All of the spots along the river walk are tourist traps anyway, the prices are at least 10-15% higher than everything west of Michigan Ave. $9.00 for a hot dog and $19 for a burger, $8 domestic and $9.00 import (all cans). We didn't try the burgers here but they should be ok. Or you can always choose the $14 salad option.
There is a mix bar just outside of you want to get some cocktails. It is a good spot to chill, but nothing special.

Paid $40 for a beyond burger, cheese fries, and an alcoholic beverage. They did not put the cheese or onions I ordered on the burger. Fries were fantastic though.

Very nice bacon cheeseburger and surprisingly good French fries. Also excellent riverside location, ideal on a warm evening. But it’s pricey!

Little expensive for what is a decent burger but not something I would call superb. Studying outside on the riverfront was fantastic. There's enough tree coverage and umbrellas that even though it was raining we stayed dry sitting outside

Not impressed at all for what you pay. Very low accuracy of orders. I ordered Turkey burger and ended up getting Cheese burger. And also specifically reminded them to add cheese fries for my wife and ended up getting regular fries. I as well ordered 1 combo and one regular which they some how charged and delivered two combos. With all negatives their food was decent and the place was nice on the river side.

This place is great. The burgers and fries are excellent. Their milkshakes are fantastic too. Prices are fair, staff is friendly, and dress is casual.

Burger is ok, had a CBC burger (was written best burger in Chicago on the menu). It is a bit greasy and feels industrial not really “home made” the fried pickles on top where removed as it feels like only fat. Fries where pretty good and service was ok but on the slow side. So if no other choice you can have a burger here but not the best burger in Chicago...

Would not recommend. Incredibly slow service, the salad was limp, white and sad. Over priced. Two stars instead of none because the fries were delicious.
There are much better restaurants to try in Chicago. If you are looking for a salad, try the snack bar above. The lettuce there was actually green.

The view of the Chicago River from this self-service casual cafe on the River Esplanade is five stars. You're paying for the charming, quiet location that is easily accessible from the Grand Sheraton and Loews. Pricey for an average burger, but a wonderful place to spend an afternoon along the river.
