I have a list of 5 pizza restaurants I normally choose to bring friends, family or even dates if they've never visited before. Just plain fantastic. The menu has about a dozen recommended pies work trying (I've done 8), or you can build your own. Trust me, this comfortable, friendly West Town restaurant will become one of your faves.
Professional!! Clean, fresh, welcoming, kind, and yummy with creative menus!! The lasagna pizza was great! I am coming back soon to try others!!

Sooo good. Definitely worth the try. Thin crust, coal fired pizzed with great toppings. Chill environment with friendly staff. The Black & Whire pizza is unbelievable, you have to get it.

Best. Pizza. In. Chicago.
If you’re thinking to yourself, “Hey, that doesn’t look like deep dish”. You’re right! Fun fact: deep dish isn’t actually good and most that live here don’t eat it .
Coal fire has everything you’d ever want in a pizzeria. Incredible pizza (obviously) made with top notch ingredients, quality service, and a family vibe. Seriously, very few places in the city would be good for dates AND be family friendly.
Anyways, check out the ‘Whipped Ricotta and Pepperoni’ pizza OR the ‘Honey and Salami’.

2 out of 3 pizzas were real good. Issue with the 3rd pizza they served it to us burnt, then I told the staff and they gave me another one and said they'd cover the cost for it. We ate then when the ticket came to pay they charged me for all 3. I literally had to speak to a employee and remind them what they said then they lowered the cost. It's a 50 50 chance I'd go back.

I put this pizza up there with Giordanos. One of if not the best brick oven pizza I've ever had. All the selections are perfect. Staff is friendly and it's affordable. Great place to take a date or hang with friends

This place is absolutely amazing. Great flavor and the ingredients you can tell are fresh/locally sourced. If you like wood fire or thin crust this place is worth the visit. Also, outside of the food there is a great ambiance and the owner was greeting/seating every customer. That alone was a great reason to come back.

Had no idea of what to expect. One person in our party said it was similar to Blaze Pizza; not a favorite.
With trepidation I took a slice and was gobsmacked.
This was fantastic! The flavor was unique, the crust charred just enough. I can understand why some wouldn't care for it for the same reasons I stated. I can asdure you it has it's own flavor and it tastes like no other.

Great pizza and atmosphere. One of my favorite places to eat after my son's baseball games. The cheese and toppings are excellent. The games are fun for the kids, although I wish it was bigger. The HH location is very large, but this pizza is better. The garden salad is excellent too. And the wings!!! We're more then satisfied and definitely recommend!! Enjoy!! And thank you!

Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had in Chicago. I went with the Salami honey pizza and everything was so rich in flavor the combo of salami honey was more than enjoyable it was something you can't put into words. I would recommend this spot to anyone! Not to mention our server was a delight she was very nice. Will be coming back soon.

My go to place for pizza in the city, super thin and visually tasty and cooked super fast, place is always packed with people trying to dine in, it’s a small place but super worth it! You won’t get this style anywhere else with this flavor, the vibe in there is amazing as well!

Now I get it, “Coalfire”, because it’s exactly what I got from this place, a peace of coal... completely overcooked pizza. The worst pizza ever in Chicago. Not recommended..

My husband and I decided to give this pizza a try. It was our 1st time. The overall experience was great. The pizza was delicious that we went for round #2. Wel definitely will be coming back. As for the server Tonya, she was on top of it and she made sure we were doing good throughout the entire time. Especially make sure our cups didn't go empty.

This place is a delicious as it seems!! The pizzas are thin, crispy, and have that special char on the crust. The different toppings were awesome and the pairings were so unique. They also were super fast to sit and serve so if your looking for a delicious and quick bite, look no further.

Certainly one of our favorite pizza places in Chicago! The atmosphere is pretty unpretentious, but the pizzas are unbelievably good! Special shout out to the whipped ricotta and pepperoni one!

My favorite pizza spot in Chicago. They do high heat, coal fired thin crust pizzas that are unmatched. They typically have seasonal off-menu items such as seasonal pizzas, calzones and the best meatball sub I've ever had. The service here is also very friendly and welcoming. Love this place.

Nice place with a nice menu, I like how they source premium local ingredients. If I had to make a criticsm it would be I do t need the basil forest with all the stems on my white pizza. But it was light, crispy, and very good for sure. I would go back to try everything!

Great simple thin crust pizza no fuss. My only complaint was the caprese salad we ordered was back luster and i am pretty sure the "heirloom" tomatoes where not in fact heirloom.
Also is awesome that you can get bang bang pie shop pies for dessert as well.
