We like to support local businesses. Usually we have no problems here, but tonight as soon as we walk in the server informs us that they're closing at 9pm. It's only 8:15pm. There were a few other diners still eating. He was going to seat us along the wall, then motioned us to the back of the restaurant. Another couple walks in after us. The server seats them in the front. Hmm.
We know what we want and are fast eaters. So we order 6 dim sum dishes and 1 entree. Only five of our dim sum dishes come out. I figure they want to bring the dessert one out last. I see the egg tarts sitting on the counter in the kitchen. The food comes out pretty fast. Nearer to closing time the cooks come out to eat their dinner. Shortly after the server informs us that they ran out of the egg tarts. But I see a platter sitting in the kitchen. I wanted to say something, but my sister told me not to make a scene. I heard one of the cooks mention something about the egg tarts. Huh?!?! Are they withholding the egg tarts?
So when the server brings us the check, he apologized for not having the egg tarts. Despite what he said, they charged us for the egg tarts. I pointed it out. He takes the check back and apologized. Meanwhile I still see the plate of egg tarts sitting in the kitchen. Are they saving them for themselves. It's not like we were going to get them for free. We were going to pay for them. Plus the dim sum here wasn't that cheap like in Chinatown.
I'm not familiar with Chinese Cuisine, but everything we ordered tasted good, I'd just pass on the Bacon Cheese Potato Rolls next time, they tasted good too, but I found them a bit uninteresting.

First of all, this place is especially perfect if you're an introvert. You can order on a menu by checking boxes, the overall volume of the restaurant is low, the wait staff all are very polite and quiet too, and there's good descriptions for the food as well. The egg drog soup is very, very yummy! I also got the dumplings and finished every single one. This is a really nice place, I'll definitely be returning.

My family and I have been big fans of D Cuisine for years. Our favorite dim sum item on their menu (that you don't see in most restaurants) are their baked egg custard buns. Absolutely delicious!

Every thing was just 3 piece servings...was that for 2 people? Orders should be 2 or 4 pieces...it was $1.60 - $1.70 per piece for dumplings!... pot stickers tasted pretty good...but... very very tiny portions of sauce...not enough. At least they remembered...the last time they forgot the sauces. Dim Sum BBQ pork was all dough and hardly any BBQ...very very dry. Beef Chow Fun was bland and didn't taste like it was cooked in a seasoned wok...more like it was just steamed noodles with beef... the worst I have ever had. Probably off my list...I have tried a few times...no more.
very expensive

It was a nice surprise to find this place, I was coming back from work and was looking for a different place to buy fried rice from that were on my way back home, I saw this one and since it's conveniently close to my place I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did! The person greeting me at the door was super nice and made sure I was comfortable while waiting for my pickup order, I ordered the combination fried rice with chicken and shrimp and when I got home and started to eat I realized this was really high quality food! The shrimps they used for the rice are the best ones, I really don't know the name of that kind of shrimp but you know how sometimes you get rice with the tiny little shrimps? Well those are kinda gross to me cause they look dirty with the black stuff inside of them but oh no! Not this case! They had the good stuff! The big and thick kind of shrimp! It was so so so good and the flavors blended so well together. To be completely honest I also ordered egg rolls and I wasn't super crazy about it, the shrimp and pork in the rolls tasted good but the vegetables they were kinda flavorless and the sweet and sour sauce didn't taste so good, I had to use my own sweet and sour bottle from the fridge BUT because I was crazy in love with my fried rice I didn't care about the egg rolls at all! I will be definitely be coming back to this place my only regret is that after a year of moving into the area I haven't ordered from them before. Thank you so much!

Loving this place!!
Great fresh food! From dim sum to classic recipes and for the daring to try something new!
I just had the fresh clams in black bean sauce and I was in heaven! So much flavor of ginger fermented black beans and that delicious umami flavor! Pot stickers were HOMEMADE and overstuffed with a delicate crisp skin. One must try the egg custard bun, but maybe save that for desert. Oh so good beautiful tender bread with a rich egg custard in the center. Making it a memorable and wanting one right now experience.
I’m so happy that this restaurant survived the pandemic. As for staff, yes maybe they do need help. But at this time of the game going to overlook that as it is so hard to find help right now. My only concern is that they wash that big window they have!
It’s a great spot to eat great food and people watch.

Dim Sum are on point! The fried rice and general tso chicken were good. The steam fish was just okay. I would definitely go back and try different Dim Sum.

D Cuisine is a very cozy spot to visit in Lincoln Park. The staff is friendly and we noticed they have a nice relationship with the regulars which made the interior feel even more welcoming.
D Cuisine has a large menu which includes both full plates and Dim Sum. As for the pictures, you can see we chose to eat Dim Sum. I really liked all the items and my favorite were Honey Short Ribs, Sesame balls and the Siumai.
Lastly, D Cuisine has a casual and relaxing vibe which makes it perfect for small groups to chat comfortably and solo diners can enjoy their meals without being too bothered :)
Thank you so much for your service !

Best Chicago Chinese food overall outside of Chinatown?? Maybe…dim sum items were really good. Except the bbq buns (although I don’t think I’ve had good bbq pork buns anywhere in Chicago). XO beef and twice cooked pork, orange chicken, kung Lao beef were all wonderful.
Came for dinner on weeknights a couple times and there’s plenty of seating. Clean and bright setting, and good affordable food. Also really appreciated the menu. Plenty of great options but it wasn’t too big/overwhelming like a lot of other Chinese restaurants suffer from. Also, all the servers have been nice and fantastic!
