Updated Review: What can I say? Lisa (the owner) is a woman of her word and the perfect example of what is now, sadly, the lost art of customer service. She made good on her promise with not ONLY complimentary dishes (to make up for my previous experience) but even went above & beyond by throwing in a couple of egg rolls (that I must say were absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS - some of the best I've had). This time around, the beef fried rice was just as delicious minus all the excess grease of the 1st experience. And for this experience, I opted to try the Beef w/ Broccoli. Absolutely delicious!!! Generous portion of tender beef with perfectly cooked broccoli in a tasty savory sauce. Lisa, I commend you with 5 stars because you did the RIGHT thing: you put GREAT customer experience FRONT & CENTER - as it ought to be! Fantastic job, young lady! Thank you for the wonderful 2nd experience!!! I will be ordering again, soon.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Chicago! The food is delicious and portions are huge. This time I had chowfon, szechuan chicken, fried rice and chicken garlic buns. Everything is perfectly made and packed. Highly recommend to try, you not gonna be disappointed

First time ordering - was very excited by reviews to find tasty Chinese food near home - everything was delicious, pipping hot and extraordinary serving sizes. Buns, egg rolls (kind gift), egg drop, hot & sour soup, you shin shrimp (mild, requested American moderate), beef broccoli (extra broccoli$), Cantonese noodle and crispy noodle + one of all house-made sauces …… EXTREMELY pleased and delighted by entire ordering process to pickup and happy eating. Thank you very much! Dai Yee will be a go-to for our family ☮️ 谢谢

Best seasoned, best textured chinese food I've had in Chicago - knew it was going to be special just from the smell. Each meal came with a container marked "extra" with another entire meal in it. I'm vegetarian and typically takeout is a little lackluster, this place has really changed the game - I'll be back soon once I've worked through these leftovers

This was our first time ordering. We ordered shrimp fried rice, beef with broccoli, spicy beef buns and the egg rolls. Best Chinese food we have had since moving to the city seven years ago. We cannot wait to order again - five stars all the way. Also the delivery driver so very nice and extremely polite!!

This is some of the most delicious Chinese food I've ever had in my life! Its flavor rivals even the best restaurants in Chinatown. They use only the best ingredients and tastes truly homemade. This is the ONLY place I'll ever order Chinese from on the Northside. Period.

Unfortunately, they no longer have physical restaurants, but all of the food was exceptional. We had pan-fried noodles, eggrolls, mongolian beef, combination fried rice, and beef chow fun. The portion sizes were great they even had extras of the entrees in separate containers!

Update: Ordered food tonight. Had no idea this was a takeout kitchen only (didn’t matter though because we wanted to pick up & take home regardless). We have been looking for good Chinese near us for 6 years and I think we just found “our spot”. Cannot wait to keep trying more dishes. Note: their spicy is spicy (& quite delicious).

Delicious!!! My new favorite Chinese restaurant!
Dai Yee's is higher quality Chinese food which is why it is priced a few dollars more than your typical Chinese carryout location. In my opinion it's worth paying for superior quality...you can clearly tell that the vegetables and chicken are fresh at Dai Yee's. Plus the favors are fantastic.
Dai Yee's is especially good if you're getting Chinese food for guests because it'll make a great impression. The menu is huge so many fun things to try.

Recently tried this place and love the food. The ingredients are fresh and had great flavors. The service is great too.
I would have given them five stars but there were advertisements in the fortune cookies! Is nothing sacred anymore? A sour end to an otherwise great meal.
