The outside seating here was very nice and the waiter we had was very friendly, but the food didn’t really live up to the rest. We ordered the $86 ribeye steak and it was really disappointing — super chewy and barely any salt or flavor. Besides that, the mixed greens were tasty and the Lyonnaise potatoes were decent.
I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass - which was probably a 3/5. The fish was fresh but it was lacking something I couldn’t completely figure it out.
Some of the folks got 34 oz Ribeye and some got the fillet, they said it was very good.
I also enjoyed the calamari quite a bit.
Standard old school Italian fare nothing exceptional about it. However the server and the service was excellent.

The outside (across the street) patio is a perfect late summer spot. I had Prosecco and shared grilled calamari and ravioli with friends. It’s a great spot for people - and dog - watching

Owners of longtime Chicago steakhouse Gene & Georgetti’s opened this riverside wood paneled restaurant with great upscale dinner menu. They have a great outdoor patio for dining. Many locals congregate there. Might want to avoid it if sensitive to cigar smoke.

The food is tasty. Nice atmosphere, you can feel that it has been running for many years. The staff are very polite. Lots of space during lunch time to eat inside.

Erie Cafe is a transcendental dining experience. I ordered the mash and yams expecting some simple tubers to grind down I was thoroughly surprised at the nuance in taste. This place is a gem tucked within a box of BOLD FLAVOR that has been sealed with a silk ribbon of QUALITY. If you have taste buds and joy for life visit and dine here. I came in aged 37 and left 25, now that I’m younger I’m backpacking through Europe this fall and the memory of this meal will keep me warm during the cold evenings at the hostels

Great steaks and old school Italian dishes. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. I have been going here for thirty years and never had a bad meal. A little pricey but worth it. Free valet parking. Great cottage dies. I highly recommend it.

Went for my girlfriends birthday. We had a wonderful time. I order the pasta and seafood, delicious. My girlfriend ordered the veal chop, delicious. Steaks and sides were also ordered. Everything was super delicious and our waiter was very kind and professional.

The service was good and so was the food, but it was priced for excellent. This is a steak house with traditions from the many years it has been open. I wish the portions were smaller, directing the savings to quality and sharpening the steak knives.

Loved the old school, almost Wisconsin supper club like atmosphere. Crab cake was disappointing. Sauce on the spaghetti bolognese was good, but the pasta was very overcooked. The lamb and the pork chop were fantastic! They both had terrific flavor and were cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach was just right...so many people keep trying to reinvent the wheel....this was just as it should be.
