Great food but a little pricey. First time here and the atmosphere was decent. Waiting area is a little crowded but there is room outside to wait when the weather is nice. The front of the counter is filled with magnets for free which I thought was pretty cool. Our food was made fresh to order. The size of the burger for $6 is not what I expected. I thought it'd be bigger. However what it lacks in size it makes up for in taste. It was amazing! The fries were so good and they don't skimp on them. I believe the sign said it's 1lb of fries. My son said the chicken tenders were good too. I'd definitely go back.

Amazing shakes and burgers! Fried shrimp was the best I’ve had anywhere! If you are planning on a low cost high quality meal EAT HERE!

One of my favorite places to stop when I go to Chicago! It makes me want to explore and see what else the Ukrainian Village has to offer. The Char dogs and fries are amazing!

Used to be good; last two orders were depressing.
Ordered for delivery today - I was excited to give them another chance. I ordered the smashed-griddled burger, fries, and fried pickles.
The burger was raw inside, not undercooked, but cold and raw. The fries were limp and undercooked as well. The pickles were okay at best; the breading tasted fishy.
I wish I know what happened; they used to be a hidden gem.

Great manager, kind staff. Food is always consistent whether it be night or day.
The bell ringing may be annoying at times but it's good to remind people bathe people coming enjoy their food and tip the workers who are otherwise probably not getting paid a livable wage in Chicago.

Could’ve eaten an average burger meal for less than $27. Who puts this much onion on a burger ? Where do I start? I went to Fatso’s on a Sunday night looking for something grubby and this is right around the corner from me. I thought, why not try it ? I could’ve skipped it in hindsight. I ordered 2 Single Fatso’s with cheese, fries and a shake. Simple, right? The first burger was pink inside. In general the burger Pattie’s were like sponges; squishy and wet. The buns were like dry sponges, used to hold it all in place. Despite all of the sauce spilling off of it there was no flavor at all! The burgers as a whole tasted like nothing. They do give you a generous amount of fries, but it’d be great if there were tasty burgers to go with them… Overall I am unimpressed. This was a waste of money and overall a let down to my burger cravings.

This place is legit some of the best Chicago street food you cannot get. Definitely top 5 street food places in the city. So the burger is like a summertime back yard remind you of youth kind of burger. It’s crispy and cheesy on a great bun. The hot dog is charred and crispy and a perfect Chicago style dog. Oh and don’t get me started in the shrimp or the Mac and cheese. That’s the power combo order.

The food is great, I have never had any issues until today. The black lady who rang me up gave me 2 double cheese burgers when I order the double smash extreme. I told her and she got an attitude but refunded me. Then reentered my order. When I got my order she only put in 1 smash extreme instead of 2. You gave me 2 wrong burgers why would you only give me one ? I have no clue what her issue is but she is the only black woman working there. I have never had issues with my orders prior until she started taking them.

Oh my god this char dog was so good. I’ve been to Chicago before and never had the chance to visit Fatso’s. I was able to make it in on a super rainy day. They were empty and I ordered a char dog with everything. The simple pleasure of enjoying this hot dog inside of this place is indescribable. It was so delicious and the employees were great.

The restaurant is definitely one of the best I have been to here in Chicago. It is not something fancy; it is more of a casual spot with a nice ambiance. The restaurant is clean inside and out, and I definitely like their outdoor seating, which also gives a nice vibe. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Their menu, on the other hand, is huge and there is a variety of options and the prices are so cheap. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The food is cooked to order and that is why I had to wait for my food to be served, and I waited for about 20 minutes, which is fine for me and it is pretty quick too, considering that the place is busy and packed. The wait was definitely worth it because the food was fresh and hot. The portion of the burger is okay and the portion of the fries is generous. The fries are hand-cut and fresh-cut and are cooked to perfection. They are golden with a nice crunch and are perfectly seasoned. Their fries definitely do not need ketchup or anything because the fries as they are taste great. The cheeseburger, of course, is kind of greasy and tastes great. It tasted just like the usual burger, with a little difference when it comes to the flavor, but overall, it was delicious too.

Great prices. Decent food. Avoid getting cheddar cheese on the dog it overpowered the entire thing. I wasn't aware that they automatically dressed it Chicago style when ordering a cheese dog. Those flavors don't mesh well.

This was definitely a great hole in the wall find! The restaurant itself has major history in the area and for good reason too! The burgers were thick and juicy, and the fries were the best! They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with the right amount of salt! The milkshakes were great too along with there cheesy mac and cheese that melted in your mouth. The area was nice too with outdoor seating looking at the nice architecture of the churches or city.

Typical Chicago fare, but with flair. Greasy goodness. We had the ooey gooey- too ooey for my blood.
The tots and Fatso’s sauce were terrific. Veggie dog deep fried was great. Shake was just meh- I had the Reese’s and had to wait 20 minutes before the consistency allowed me to take a sip. Good experience overall!
