Wish their service was better. Our server didn't refill our drinks for the whole time we were there. At least the guy serving water was more helpful.
The calamari was not seasoned well. The only good thing about the platter was the garlic bread. Deep dish is definitely not for everyone. We didn't like how the pizza tasted. It was definitely not worth waiting for over an hour. We probably only ate a quarter of it and took the rest as leftovers. No one else has eaten the leftovers.
Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Takes 45 min for a pizza so don't wait until you're starving to get here (it takes time to cook those deep dish pizzas!). Had a small deep dish pizza with meatballs. Arrived hot and fresh. Very good! Plenty for two people with some to take home.

Delicious deep dish pie. Small is a great size for 2 people and takes about 45 minutes to make. We were seated around 11:45 am and it got very busy by noon.
The back of the restaurant is a little quieter and they do have an outdoor area as well.

10/10 to this place. Worth the wait for the pizza. The bartender was super cool. He made great recommendations for a local beer, 312 goose island I believe it was called. He also knew I could not eat the whole pizza alone so he found the perfect size. The place was packed and I got a quick spot at the bar. Super great vibes.

Very good restaurant! I went with a friend and we sat at the bar. I tried a local blonde beer and we shared a deep dish half meat and half pepperoni with veggies. So good! The hotel I stayed at nearby told me to get pizza there and I am very happy I did. Next visit to Chicago, I am coming back for sure!

I was told to visit this place because it's a Chicago staple. In my opinion the deep dish was definitely an experience but not one that I would try again. The atmosphere was chaotic but the waitress was kind and very helpful. She recommended the meat lover deep dish. Quality of the dish was good but I personally wasn't a fan. Still worth trying out if you're in town.

From all the hype I was so excited. We were seated right away and got to sit in the outside area, which we loved. One pizza came for one person, and the other didn't come until 30 minutes later. The first person was done with their food by the time mine arrived to the table. Mind you, we already waited 45 minutes for the first pizza to arrive. To top it off the bill was wrong twice, and they changed the cards with the wrong receipts, even though we wrapped the cards to the receipts respectively. The manager was receptive to feedback and offered 30-40 dollars off if we came in that night or the next. Very kind offer, but I was so put off with the food and service I didn't want to go back.

Love their cheese deep dish!! Sauce, cheese, crust was all amazing. We loved our meal so much we came back the next day to order from their lunch menu. Its a deal that can't be beat. I tried their spaghetti and caesar salad. It did not disappoint, especially the salad. I highly recommend this location. Our servers were very kind and attentive. Overall had a great dining experience twice in a row.

I came to Chicago open minded and wanting to try their famous deep dish pizza.
I first tried Giordano's. Well... For a surprise, it is a surprise. I now understand why some place in the USA they call their pizza, "pizza pies", because that's what it is: a pie, literally. I will never get why Chicagoans use pie dough instead of real pizza dough. They use it for deep dish pizza, stuffed pizza, and even thin crust pizza. Real disappointment. Also, expensive for what you get.
You still have to try it, it's just not for me.

Take me back!!! If you on a diet stay away. This place is diet free haha. Good food and nice staff. For sure one of the best place to try an authentic Chicago style pizza. We got the sampler as a starter and it was really delicious. Pizza takes more than 45 minutes to make but it’s worth the wait. Restaurant gets busy as well so maybe call a head before heading there to see how long is the wait. For sure a repeat and will come back again! Keep it up

The pizza is GREAT, and although they aren’t as well known for their spaghetti, it was still a delicious choice. I wanted to get true Chicago style pizza, and I’m so glad I got it here. They seated us quickly despite their being a lot of people in the waiting area! We had the nicest waitress in the world. Only complaint we had was that it was chilly in the window area, but was informed the heat doesn’t work at the moment.

Busy place during lunch time. Had to wait for the Chicago style pizza around 40min, but than again it was clear that they made it properly and that it is not an easy process. We were with 2 and hungry, managed to eat only half of medium sized. Yes this pizza deserves to exist, thou it was too much mozzarella for my taste. Definitely an interesting experience. Is it the best place to get this type of pizza I do not know but I got what I wanted and happy with the result, pleasant waitress, a bit loud inside.

Pros and cons
The pizzas here are TOO BIG and DEEP. (: I couldn't finish the second slice of my chicken sauce deluxe pizza that was for $24.65. I also ordered garlic parmesan fries for $5.25, in total with a tax $34.55. they also charge %3 COVID fee.
The staff are amiable, serve you with a smile, and are very helpful in choosing pizza. The fries were delicious, but I cannot say the same for the pizza.
My pizza had chicken and spinach, but I couldn't get the chicken or spinach taste. I think they use frozen ingredients not fresh ones.
The pizza bread had a bit of a sweet taste. Maybe some people like it, but I prefer to have unsweetened bread on pizza.
I want to go again, but I don't think I would get the same pizza.

We ordered the Chicago classic and they were very delicious.

When you visit Chicago you gotta have deep dish and there is no better place than Giordano's! The sampler appetizer is great. We loved everything. Remember it's deep dish so get a size smaller than you normally would.

I’d arrived in Chicago as a brief one night stop over for a connecting flight and decided to make the most of my time there.
Instantly falling in love with this city and exploring on foot is the way to go. So much to see and experience as you wander around. And of course it is Chicago so naturally it’s good to find original pizza pie and get the real taste of the city.
Google Maps helpfully took me to Giordano’s and promised original Chicago style pizza and hospitality. It did not disappoint. Ethan who looked after me in the restaurant was great. A local guy who knows Chicago well and is great with his recommendations on what to eat from the menus. He suggested the classic which looked as good as it tasted. I’ve noticed they even sell pizzas you can take home and cook which is great if you are local or travelling elsewhere and want to share with your family and friends (if you just wanted for it all to yourself I don’t think anyone would blame you either).
For a great atmosphere, excellent pizza and really nice people, do try Giordano’s while you are in Chicago.

Best pizza I've ever eaten!
Whenever we come to Chicago, we always try to stop by a Giordano's! My wife is HOOKED on it!
This was our first stop to this particular location, and I loved how big and inviting the atmosphere was. Huge place that was packed to the gills at lunchtime, but we still managed to get right in!
Our server was Jimmy, and he was pretty awesome! He talked us into getting the deep dish BBQ Chicken pizza since we've never tried THAT one, and he didn't steer us wrong.
While I don't think it's as good as their meatlovers (primarily because their marinara sauce is probably the best on the planet) the BBQ Chicken Pizza was still the BOMB!
For what you get, it's super affordable, too! $31 for us both to eat AND have leftovers???
Check, please!

It was good. I ordered the deep dish pizza. It was good but I wasn't blown away. Also it took a long time to come out.
Beers and drinks were good. Vibe was good. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Visiting from NYC and had to try the deep dish pizza after many recommendations we decided on Giordano’s. It definitely lived up to expectations! The personal size was perfect for a quick bite. Service was attentive although we received many wrong orders throughout our time there. Pizzas also take about 45 minutes to make so take that into account.

A staple deep-dish pizza in Chicago. The pizza was good, but nothing I would rave home about. I think I would have enjoyed it more had the crust been slightly more dough-y. I've had other deep dish pizzas where this was the case, but this pizza crust was on the drier side. I also could have used more cheese on my personal cheese pizza :) The minestrone soup tasted like canned soup :/
