The restaurant looks nice. The food was good.
Having said that, here's my advice from my experience after attending this restaurant last Saturday from 7 to 9 pm: if you care about listening to good blues in the restaurant, this is most definitely a tourist trap. No blues really, just a one man band singing terribly. Many songs weren't even blues songs. It was hard to hear.
Also, the service was terrible. Waiter and waitresses constantly gathering to talk to each other at the reception while ignoring customers.
Just don't go for good blues or good service.
Venue-wise, it's a nice, intimate setting. Staff at the door was pleasant.
Attended the Beach Bunny Q101 pop-up; Didn't order anything from the restaurant.

This place took our $10 a person cover at 2100 on a saturday night and proceeded to ignore us for an hour before we left to find dinner elsewhere. These servers are overwhelmed and the sangria tastes like trash. They refunded our cover so we’re square. Terrible first and last time at HOB..

What an experience! Live music front row, great food and amazing service. We made a reservation, but it wasn't that crowded. Would go again.

Came here to have dinner before watching a band perform and apparently if you spend 25 dollars per person on dinner then you get to skip the line waiting to enter for the band. Unfortunately we spent 49 dollars and change and they did not tell us this until after they closed our bill, despite me asking about where to go for the concert before she gave us our bill. Instead, we had to go outside and wait a half hour in the line that formed while we were eating...
The food was really good, and the service was at least average. But no one knew what was going on, there were 3 lines for the concert and no one knew which one was the one for GA, our waitress didn't even know where to go for the concert, and I couldn't find anyone who knew when the doors opened either.
Also, the person singing in the dining room was way too loud and exclusively did covers of what seemed to all be 90s pop songs, so that wasn't great either.

Food and drink met expectations. Expensive but it’s Chicago. The live music was fun but we were seated at a wobbly high top table on bar stools which did not make us want to linger (or spend more money).

Had a great visit tonight and enjoyed the food and music.
Bar and wait staff were fantastic. Katie especially. It took a little while to get a table before ordering food, but staff took my details and I waited at the bar for a little while before someone found me and I was switched over to a nearby table.
The Jambalaya was delicious with Shrimp and the Southern Side Salad with champagne vinigarette. All items on the menu sounded tempting! Great selection of drinks also.

Had a great time watching some live music at the House of Blues Restaurant. Not only was the sound and environment great, the food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves great food and music!
