Nice addition to the area .. slices..wings ..fries..pizza knots and bignet.
What's not to like and 12 different varieties..especially good was the bbq chicken pizza and maple bacon bread knots.
Best New York style pizza in Chicago. Friendly staff and their new large space makes for a good relaxed atmosphere.

The staff was super friendly! Food was fresh and delicious ???? they also had Mr.Pibb Xtra so so good! Next time I go I want to try a beignet. The table next to us ordered them and they looked so good. I had the meat lovers.

New York style pizza by the slice. Crust was good but not enough sauce, still overall a good NY style slice

The pizza is just out of this world! Some other items have been less than 100% consistent (a burnt garlic knot once; the wings are a little hit-or-miss) but the pizza is a slam dunk every time. The new location is great and they always have plenty of different types of slices available. Whole pizzas are huge and well worth the price!

I have been a fan of Jimmy's Pizza since they were located on Lincoln. The new location is a massive upgrade, providing lots of indoor and outdoor seating, private spaces, beer on tap, and a cozy atmosphere.
Some people have told me that they were disappointed by the cheese slice, but that's not Jimmy's claim-to-fame. If you want the best experience, you need to try their specialty slices. The price might seem steep for a single slice of pizza and the toppings might seem strange, but in my experience, they have yet to offer a disappointing slice. The maple-bacon garlic knots are also a must-try.
While this isn't the sort of pizza place where you can break a $5 bill and get a slice and soda to eat on your way to work, it is a great place for a casual date. Grab a couple of slices, a garlic knot or two, and maybe a soda or beer and head across the street to Welles park to watch the sunset and enjoy some truly unique pizza.

I have been looking, searching, hunting for this beautiful slightly burnt bottom. This meat lovers slice is balanced in flavor, crunch, crispy and heavenly. The cheese is fire as well as the mushroom slice. Lastly, that damn chocolate chip cookie…. when I took that first bite my eyes rolled back and I could not stop shaking my head with satisfaction. Greta place and prices!

This place is great for laughs with friends, carefree nostalgia, and of course pizza. They have a wide variety of flavors that go from creamy and subtle to the more strong truffle or bbq. I'm going to get anchovies on mine next time.
Garlic knots with marinara sauce are also good if you want to change up your textures.
Chocolate chip cookies are among my faves - overall, this spot knows how to handle dough.

Finally a place that has NY style pizza in Chicago. This was the best pizza I've had in a very long time. Living in S. FL for 20 + years, you miss the NY style pizza. Jimmy's hits on the money! Now they have a new location with tables and soon to have alcohol serviced. Can't wait to go back.

If you love NY style pizza and don’t know about a Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe you are not living life. I loved their original location in Foster but this extra location is spacious, comfortable, clean and fun to hang at. Even the bathrooms are impressive. They have even more styles of pie on offer and the quality is EXACTLY the same as the original Jimmy’s. This pizza is fire. If you don’t know, now you know.

The new spot on Montrose is amazing. It is so much bigger and nicer. The pickup area shows an open kitchen. The quality of the food is still top notch amazing!! Best place in Chicago for True NY style pizza.

I'm New Jersey born and it reminds me of the pizza from home. This place is right next to my job, I'll be coming in at least once a week. Had 2 slices of pepperoni. The cheese and sauce ratio was perfect and the crust was nice. Cool looking place too, very good looking restaurant. My only complaint is 14$ for 2 slices and a soda. That's pretty steep, but I think everyone will be better off getting an entire pie, but the slices in the glass display by the counter were hard to pass on. I wish there were a lot more places that have the North East style pizza here in Chicago.

Absolutely delicious! This place has a great vibe, friendly staff, and wildly delicious pizza slices. This place is always packed! They are very popular!

**Updated** They've moved to a different location on Montrose, with a much larger dining room, as well as larger pizza options, but the pizza is still as brilliant as ever!
Jimmy's Pizza Cafe is one of the few places in the city of Chicago, where a New Yorker will feel at home. Sure, there are specialty places where you can grab a slice of pizza, but this place just about gets classic New York style pizza just right. The best way to go is the "Brooklyn Deal", where you can grab two slices and a medium drink for just 8 bucks. You can't go wrong with Jimmy's Pizza Cafe and if you're not in the mood for Pizza, they've also got some killer Beignets!

I grew up in this area, back then this was the old Erin Glen Pub in the 80/90s. Me and the neighborhood kids would by a basket of fries for 50 cents. Since the pub, the restaurant has changed owners and concepts at least five times over the last two decades. The owners of Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe have the magic touch offering delicious thin crust NY style pizza with unique combinations. The combo with ricotta, prosciutto, basil with drizzled honey was phenomenal. I will be back for it!

My roommate and I are so happy Jimmy’s opened the new location! The pizza is still amazing if not better now that we can eat it in the restaurant. The interior looks great too. Can’t wait to come back over and over for the best pizza in Chicago!!

This is my favorite pizza in Chicago. After 10 years of living here, I can finally declare it.
Yeah yeah, Pequod's is good but have fun waiting all night for a table. Besides, this is New York style, which is more my jam.
Right now, Jimmy's is pretty much carry out only. They have a few tables, but the space isn't exactly inviting. More like the bare necessities to eat and leave. Their new space is coming to 2434 W Montrose and will be much bigger and, I assume, more comfortable.
But anyway, enough about the future. This pizza is delicious! The crust is crispy. The pepperoni cups. They're generous as hell with the garlic.
Only two things on my wish list are a liquor license (which might be coming at the new location?) and garlic dipping sauce. Come on Jimmy, I need to dip my crust!
