Yes it can be over priced ($110pp)and I can attest to the portions being small. I do have to say that the ambience is very tranquil and the attention to detail is remarkable! The dress code should really be semi-formal simply based on the presentation of the location. The waitress and attention our party received was great. Shout-out to Elainne and making our experience awesome!
It is a good place for sushi! Wish they have more rolls on the menu! Sashimi and nigiri is pretty good

Freshest sushi and sashimi I’ve had in a while. Delicious appetizers and spot on drinks also. The restaurant extends to the back room and is very spacious. The staff were all attentive and helpful with selections as well. Great experience and will definitely go back!

Definitely my current favorite new sushi restaurant! Happened to run across it by accident- great service, ambiance and the food was DELISH.. melts in your mouth. Was completely unexpected and would highly recommend. It’s more on the pricey side tho.

We thought the food here was very very good and appropriate for the price. The Juno Queen and the smoked dishes were especially exceptional. Also, the rice here is just really really well done
Our server was very nice but we couldn't get anyone to clear our drink cups throughout the meal which was a bit strange (we had like 5 cups/cans that need to be cleared on a small 2 person table and it took about an hour and half to clear the drinks once we were clearly done). Also some of the food came out a bit slowly toward the end of the night. We were ready to be done in about 2 hours but ended up waiting about another thirty minutes for four pieces of Nigri to come out after most of the restaurant had cleared out. Finally we had a weird snafu where the restaurant lost our signed receipt so we had to resign which was odd. All in all service was ok but certainly not exceptional.
Our total with food, a couple drinks, and an app came out to 195 with tax and tip and we left pretty full.

Simply…spectacular! The master chef was in and we could get the omakase. I can only present you pictures of every dish, but I can assured you that every single piece was perfect. The waiter was knowledgeable, welcoming, warm. The dining room was quite and comfortable. The chef was working in the open kitchen as if he were in Tokyo or Kyoto. Another perfect night to celebrate life and love.

This place felt like a total joke. The waiter was clumsy, forgetful, and inexperienced. We waited more than 1hr and a half to be served ridiculously small sushis that looked like kids portions... . On top of that, they messed up our order. Also, one of the dishes was inedible because they poured way too much salt! what happens in the kitchen???
Low quality, poor service, long waiting time and high prices... it can't work this way guys, something needs to be changed.
The chef was chatting and walking around the restaurant instead of being in the kitchen and helping for the preparation of the food. VERY ODD.
We left hungry and frustrated. We waisted 2 Hours of our evening waiting for a few tiny pieces of low quality sushi, that's beyond ridiculous...
Extremely disappointing experience. And they probably write the positive reviews themselves because they can't be real...
Do not come. Complete waste of time and money.

Amazing quality sushi, unique dishes and great service. The nigiri was SO small, though. I felt like I had to order SO many to be full, compared to most places. I ordered a hand roll and a sushi roll after, which were filling. Amount of food was definitely lacking, even compared to comparable pricey sushi restaurants. Maybe would go back!

Wonderful traditional sushi. Amazing flavors that complimented one another. The staff was very helpful with recommendations, and great to talk to overall. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite sushi places in Chicago. Well-executed nigiri, sashimi, and maki sushi.

Absolutely fabulous, truly. I'm so happy I didn't pay attention to the critical reviews (sorry folks you have no clue on high end sushi based on those comments).
I've been visiting upscale sushi spots for over a decade across SoCal, NYC, and Japan. This is by far one of my favorite, and I'm definitely coming back.
On top of the perfectly seasoned selections which were completely melt in your mouth, the service provided by Patrick G was top notch, friendly, and made us feel like long time customers.
We were a bit concerned bringing our infant with us however, it was no issue. Everyone was so kind and helpful, even the floor manager/hostess came by several times to say hi to her and interact.
There's also a very uncommon Japanese beer (in the US) they're carrying which was the perfect smooth balance with the meal.
Can't wait to be back again!

Stand out sushi spot combining fresh fish with unexpected flavors. Added bonus to watch the sushi chefs work from the bar. Intimate atmosphere & friendly service. Will have to return to explore more of the menu.
???? Junomono: seaweed salad & crispy pickles. Fun to eat
???? Seared scallop: nicely seared w/ al-dente squid ink pasta robust umami flavor
???? Eel trio: 3 styles of salt water eel. Shiro anago was marinated in sake; unexpectedly sweet & unique
???? Smoked Hamachi: hamachi sashimi that’s smoked and served with shiitake & freeze dried corn. Never thought freeze-dried corn could be used for sushi
???? Tako maguro maki: spicy octopus was tender w/ just the right amount of heat. Crispy shredded potato strips added nice crunch

Overpriced for very small portions, thin pieces of nigiri. Veryyy slow, took over an hour and a half for sushi to come. Sushi itself is good, but wouldn’t go back.

Friendly service, great selection of drinks and excellent nigiri. The signature nigiri pieces are especially tasty - like what you would get during an omakase experience but you get to pick every piece (and ones you really love you can have more of). The uni shooters are delish and refreshing too. Can’t wait to go back!

I got to come here for my birthday dinner last month. So excited!!! We were having a hard time picking, and when we talked it over with the server, she informed us an omakase was available that had 90% of our choices! What luck!!
It was a great flow. My pictures don’t do it justice. Many weren’t taken because it was eaten too fast. The tako hand roll was delish, and the Juno King was So Yums.
Service was efficient and impeccable. Super helpful and loved all her suggestions!
