Best sushi I have had in Chicago. Very quiet, romantic atmosphere. Great for a nice out with a special someone, or for a delicious meal with friends.
Decent ramen, good size portions. My only complaint was that the ramen tasted like it had a little bit too much flour.

Everything was wonderful! The sushi was high quality and delicious. They were able to add a table outside for us which was great. Loved everything and service was excellent! Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved the food at Kameya. I am a vegetarian and loved their veggie spring roles and avocado sushi was so fresh!!! I finally ordered Veggie gyoza ramen in miso broth, which was exceptional! The person, who served us was very polite and also played some k-pop songs as per my niece's request. This was overall a great experience and I highly recommend this gem of a ramen restaurant.

Sushi and fish quality was good. I’d avoid the spider roll, it just wasn’t up to the standards of the other rolls we got. Also a weird issue, they used a tiny diameter soy sauce container for takeout which was too small to dip in - I tried pouring little amounts but the ratios are off if you do that. Overall this was pretty good, I especially liked their namesake roll and the toro sashimi was both well priced and delicious.

Recommend: had Kameya and Katsu Ramen. Overall it was good and solid, but just short of amazing. Nevertheless, I'll be back for another try at some point.

High quality sushi rolls and nice staff. I liked the food a lot. Very small and cramped eating in so I recommend doing takeout if you eat here.

Definitely check your order before you leave. Chicken is great, price and service not so much. It's disappointing to make a special trip here only to return home only to be missing an important part of your dinner. With the prices so high they should really make an effort to get your order correct. Ruined a special family meal.

We went there on a Saturday evening and the staff told us that it was a 5 minute wait. I thought it was funny and why not! There are valentine’s decor up and it’s so cute and romantic! I also really loved the twinkling fairy lights but I was sitting against them on the ledge of the window. It was not uncomfortable per se; it was just very narrow and inconvenient especially with all the big winter coats. They got a bit busy but the staff were still very friendly and service was great nevertheless.
We got the Takoyaki, Kameya Ramen (extra spice on the side), Kameya house roll, and Godzilla roll. The ramen was chewy and there was depth to the broth, pork belly was a little overcooked. The makisushi were delicious and the presentation was beautiful???? - each table had a different picture on their plate.
I also got pork gyoza and 911 salmon roll to-go. The gyoza was so yummy ???? (so was the salmon roll) even after I microwaved it a day later. The wrap was soft on the sides and crunchy on the bottom and the meat inside was not dry.
The bill wasn’t too bad for how much we ordered; it was ~$30 per person.

Great sushi and nigiri, it’s good quality. My family likes the ramen. Good miso soup, too. If you’re dining with someone who doesn’t like sushi, the chicken teriyaki is a healthy option. I’d get takeout more from here, but it’s a bit pricey to do often.

We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and just ordered takeout at Kameya for the very first time. Don’t make the same mistake as us! Order NOW! My wife has a peanut allergy and the staff was reassuring that their food is peanut free and safe for her to eat. This was her first ramen experience and now she’s hooked for life. We ordered a few appetizers and the Kameya ramen, everything was phenomenal. Thank you Kameya!

Stop it, just stop it……. Read if you want but I must warn you, if you get a reservation and you chose to go, you will never ever ever find another Ramen place that you’ll enjoy again. Make a reservation, eat the kameya ramen ???? and thank me later.

One of the best sushi spots in LP/Lakeview. The food is very fresh and affordable. The Nigiri comes with thick slices of fish and the rolls are creative and well made. I highly recommend the Tuna Tartare. Even better that this place is BYOB.

This is a small, cozy and very affordable restaurant. The food it's tasty and fresh, our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. Everything came out quickly and this was the best ramen bowl I've ever had in Chicago! I'll be going there again!
