We were on a short vacation in Chicago and ended up having breakfast at this place everday. The baguettes are so delicious, they reminded me of a holiday I spent in Nice. The croque monsieur was also yummy, and the French roast coffee was just the way I like it. The space is lovely, staff is attentive and I can't recommend this place enough.
I would recommend trying it yourself and go for the savory pastries over the sweet. Specific impressions - tomato and goat cheese quiche was tasty but definitely light on the tomato. The crust texture was pretty soggy/greasy, not terrible but it didn’t have the crisp crust I was hoping for. Almost like it was microwaved when heated. Maybe it was? But I still enjoyed it. The macarons are alright, better than the average but a bit overly sweet to my palate. Salted caramel tastes like caramel only, no saltiness. Passion fruit and lemon are great. Vanilla is just sweet, I don’t taste vanilla to be honest. I’ve also gotten the almond pear tart at the Lincoln Park location and while the tart crust was perfection, the tart was too sweet for me. So I will definitely be back, but I will focus on the savory options moving forward.

Quiche was good, but the Attendent was in a really bad mood - ice coffee without ice and I believe I would have to pay lot of extra money for one smile….. I regretted stopping there ????

Excellent Viennoiserie, best in Chicago! Assorted selection box perfect for breakfast over the weekend. Ordered on uber eats, also took a delightful mediterranean baguette to enjoy during SailGP

Went for breakfast / brunch. Quiche was really good. Pastry was super buttery and good, but nothing special. Ice coffee had some fun flavors going on. Price is pretty high for what you get, which is the main reason for one less star. I would go back for an occasional treat... Not a place I can afford routinely!

Tasty croissants but the baguette sandwiches were a bit hard to eat because of the baguette. The coffee was great and they didn't skimp out on the cheese in the danish or the chocolate in the croissant. Overall good food, friendly service, and not too long a wait.

A little more pricey then I would have liked. The food was good. A little lacking in the service, the guy taking our order didn't know the difference between green tea and jasmine tea. The orange juice was from concentrate but priced like fresh sweeze.

I was super excited that there is a French cafe in my neighborhood and couldn’t wait to check it out. We came here for Sunday brunch. I ordered the croque monsieur with egg (why won’t they just call is a croque madame? But ok), the rose lavender latte and chocolate nutella croissant. My partner ordered the cappuccino and ham and swiss croissant sandwich.
His sandwich was fine, although I doubt the freshness of that croissant. My nutella croissant tasted like it was at least 3 days old..so I didn’t take more than one bite of that.
The croque monsieur was really hard to cut into and the edges of the bread were very crispy (in hind sight, that bread was probably stale) and the egg was cooked on too high heat because the edges were burnt, but the egg whites weren’t completely cooked in the middle, so you get that lovely snot looking substance on your egg. I was willing to forgive all that, but when I cut into the middle and my sandwich was ice cold…that did it for me.
The coffee was good..so maybe just don’t order any food?

Quick place to get coffee and a delicious pastry. Had their chocolate almond croissant and it was very good!

I loved everything about this place! Cute little neighborhood cafe. Delicious food and friendly service. Ordered their chocolate croissant and croque monsieur. I've tasted plenty of croissants, but these were so flakey and amazing. I'll be back again very soon.

I've been on the search for "my cafe" ever since I moved to chicago. Two years (and a pandemic) later I've found it here. The atmosphere is wonderful, the patio beautiful, and the food delicious. I've tried something new everytime I've come and have been satisfied everytime. Their macarons are extremely flavorful and not too sweet (hard to find), and the staff is extremely welcoming. I've come in right before closing and did not feel rushed. I have also been here when the place was extremely busy and did not feel ignored. When it took a while for an order to come out, they even gave me a free dessert! Come for the food or the awesome french language playlist! 10/10 recommend!

I was walking home from my second vaccine appointment and decided to treat myself to a croissant. This was my first time inside this cafe and it smelled wonderful. This croissant was incredible. One of the best I’ve had since living in Chicago. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Amazing French bakery. My girlfriend, who’s French, have designated their croissants by far the best in Chicago.
Outside of their pastries, their quiches and especially their crocque monsieurs are also delicious.

Such a cute, cozy spot for breakfast, a light lunch, or a snack. I got a ham and cheese croissant and french onion soup. My only complaint is that the soup had no cheese in it, and didn't come with bread as advertised. Also, they claim to use eco-friendly disposable dishes but have plastic cups out with the water. Besides that, they have a beautiful and spacious back patio and cozy couches in the front. I'd definitely be back!

Cute little Place with very low key branding - so one cant find it right away. The music was very nice - French and the server was very friendly. We had quiche and croissant coffee and a juice. The prices were alright. Quiche was delicious. Croissant could be warmer and softer but not bad. They have a nice out door patio in the back which is a nice place for breakfast or brunches in the sun.
