Great spot with good drinks and delicious food. Patio allows pups
Awful food. Order take out. The food looks bad and tastes bad. The sauce looks even worse than the phone.

I was devastated when this place closed down in Chinatown. Just recently discovered that they had moved to the South Loop instead. Food is still incredible! Honestly, anything with the yellow star (chef’s special) would be good but a few of my top favorites include the hand pulled chicken, lobster with ginger, oxtail w/bean curd, salt & pepper Japanese tofu. We would’ve ordered more but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. The prices are not bad and you get huge portions. Had so much leftovers between 3 people.

One of my favorite places for some amazing Chinese food. Everything is great there. One of my absolute favorites is their avocado chicken fried rice. The portions are good so it could be really cheap depending how much you want.

We finally decided to try My Place after it replace a former Mexican restaurant and we found it to be ok. The presentation of their dishes looked great in person. Their egg drop soup was a very good size for your money and v held it’s hot temperature for a very, very long time. Our entrees included a ramen bowl and a shrimp with garlic vermicelli pasta. The pasta had at least twelve large shrimp but the dish overall lacked the taste of garlic or might have needed more of a sauce. The waiter was very nice. There weren’t very many people unfortunately. We’d hate to see another restaurant close in the South Loop but we find My Places atmosphere a little off, but give it a try. Maybe you will like it.

Called before I ordered delivery to see if the pepper steak has red and green peppers as it does not specify on the menu - he said yes. It ended up coming with green peppers and black beans. The vegetarian fried rice tasted cheap. And the vegetarian egg rolls were more like spring rolls.

the Best in Cantonese Food. Good Service and very friendly owner, Andy. I have been told that their Head Chef worked with the Peninsular Group before came to open their own restaurant with friend.

Try the lamb curry! So aromatic and flavorful. Definitely a must try. The place is usually pretty busy, with lots of regular customers and decent service.
Update for 2021: oh my stars and heavens, my favourite Chinese place in Chicago not only survived the pandemic, but it got swanky new digs in the South loop!! Amazing food, great service. Come here for chachaanteng classics like corn and chicken soup, coffee-milk melange, and seafood casserole. The cumin spiced lamb is still my favourite, but their Sichuan poached fish and their beef lung in chili oil are some of my other favourites.
I love this place!!!

I felt so sad after My Place in Chinatown closed and was overwhelmed with joy when I learned it’s new location recently. This place is the most authentic Hong Kong style cafe in Chicago. Food is always amazing and you cannot beat the price! The mango tapioca desert is to die for!

Great new place in the south loop! The food came out pretty quickly, and the flavor is decent to pretty good, but I'm extremely critical of most Asian food. The hot and sour soup was really good though! I'm excited to explore more of the menu on future cisits
