This place is all the hype! Their bread is a mix of flaky, rich crossisant texture with a mix of nice chocolates, creams and jellies. We initially had a sampler box for their Valentine's Day promotions and it was well worth getting up early on a Sunday morning. My family really enjoyed all the flavors (I loved the guava). If I may, and this is just a personal preference. I'm not a fan of the sugar coating (the red jelly heart shaped one). Check them out, you will not be disappointed.
Literally the best pan I've ever had. An amazing spin on traditional pan dulce, so creative with the flavors, and everything tastes so fresh and delicious. Cannot recommend enough!

I really can’t tell you how much I love this place. I only been here twice, but every time this place amazed me. Didn’t get into any mistake.
Look at the display! They look just so delicious!
I highly recommend come AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE! People line at at 8am. No joke. I took these pictures on 8:02am Friday morning.

This bakery has many different types of pastries, they vary week to week. I personally find them WAY too sweet and laden with sugar in the form of toppings and fillings. The coffee is a bit on the weak side.
The real standout for me are the breakfast sandwiches, particularly the steak and egg with mixed greens.

I came here yesterday. It was my first time here and I just found this place when I was driving back home. They have glass where I can see a lot of different bread and bagels. It looked yummy and I thought it tasted good. One staff member greeted me. She gave me a huge smile and asked me what I wanted. I look first at their show glass and look at what I will buy. Then I found some soft bread. It has a cheese on topping and the staff said it does have. Then I ordered 3 pieces of it. I also ordered other kinds of bread. While she packed it I looked at the store and there were few people entering and exiting the store. After it packed I paid it. It comes with a box. And when I taste it, it was so cheesy and sweet. I love this. I will go there again next week.

5 stars for quality baked goods but 0 stars for customer service and their crazy short business hours. Also, since reopening the taste of the conchas changed and not for the better. Seems like they made some changes to the recipe. Quality of food keeps me going back for more, although, not as frequently as I used to because owners lack good customer service skills. In addition, they close pretty much whenever they feel like it, sometimes for months.

Friendly attentive staff, and proper pastries with unique flavor combinations. Otherwise, this place is ran like a joke. I waited for 30 minutes, some in the cold, to come in and find almost everything is gone. Being open for 4 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday only, is a disservice to your loyal customers, and turns away new ones. I won’t come back until the hours are reasonable and I can sit down and have a coffee and a pastry. Crazy idea for a coffee/bakery shop right? Turns out there’s 20+ places in a 15 minute radius that understand you need more than just good food and friendly people. For Pan Artesanal, I’ll fill in the blanks, availability, selection, and customer experience are important too.

The bread is amazing! Fluffy, moist, great quality ingredients and I would go there everyday if I could. However, I stood in line for 2 hours because they don’t have the most efficient customers service. They only have one person taking orders behind the counter and another one cashier, so when you have a line of 30+ people, the checkout process will take forever. There are so many ways they could improve their ordering and check out process, especially when they’re only open 2 days a week. I wish they would improve the buying experience because their products are delicious.

Absolutely incredible. The pastries are so delicious; just as good as the boulangeries in Paris and the flavors are so unique. Order both the savory & sweet pastries and try to get there early as they sell out fast, and I mean fast! A Chicago MUST ❤️

Pan Artesanal is not only my favorite Bakery in Chicago it might make my favorite baked goods I've ever tasted. I love that it is run by 2 Mexican sister bakers. You can tell they are classically trained while also putting their own heritage into their food. Everything I've ever had here is so good. My personal favorites are the mexican pastry reimaginations. Well worth the price. Must go
