Pittsfield Cafe Reviews

The staff was super friendly and welcoming! However, the cafe was pretty busy. My party and I arrived before 11AM, but by the time a waiter was able to attend to us, it was only minutes past the 11AM cut off for the specialty breakfast items. The food was good but not amazing. I noticed my avocado was a little spotty, but that's just me nitpicking. Overall, not a bad spot to eat at if you happen to be nearby!

Just a side note to anyone who is sensitive to loud noises - the staff cleaning and dumping the plates is near the seating areas, which means you can hear the dishes clattering quite often.

Food was pretty good. Standard breakfast fare. They have lunch options too but didn't try any of those items.

I got the meat lovers omelet and I cleaned that plate up. The omelet dishes are made with 3 eggs and come with hash browns and toast so this is pretty big for a meal.

Definitely recommend for a nice casual meal before or after walking around Millennium Park.

Definitely consider stopping here if you are walking around the loop during breakfast time. It is a wonderful little Cafe in a beautiful building which has a tall ceiling and nice little tables. I got the eggs benedict and also a screwdriver. The screwdriver had the right kick to it to help me get through the soreness of walking over a dozen miles the day before, and the eggs Benedict were extremely flavorful. The staff were also helpful and friendly.

Great quality food. As a Latino, I was happy to hear a lot of Spanish being spoken here. It made me feel at home. Definitely coming back. I got the two eggs special for $9.99. Be sure to get it before 11am. Cards are accepted.

Cool place off the beaten path a bit. True diner style where they have a bit of everything which is equally good. Definitely worth the stop. Pictures are of the French toast and one of their skillets, but you honestly can't go wrong with anything here. I personally had the Santa Fe breakfast burrito. Would do again. Also conveniently located near memorial park so you freely visit the bean after.

For my second time in Chicago I decided to visit this cafe again. This time I opted for take out. Let’s say the staff are friendly however, they were issues with my orders. I got French fries as a breakfast side instead of home friends. I’m lactose intolerant and they do not carry a dairy substitute. It’s a nice place with high ceilings and character. The pricing is decent

Decided to give this place a shot before hopping on the train. Finding it was a bit odd, as the building it's located in looks partially abandoned. However, once locating, the place is housed in a nice building with some ornate touches. The cafe sits in an open area about 4 stories high.

The cafe itself was ok, but nothing special. Waters were brought promptly, but we sat there for a bit waiting for menus, as we'd seen others with them. Finally, it was realized there was a QR code on the table to scan for menus... a heads up from staff would have been nice. Two in the party has breakfast items, which they noted being ok. The burger was cooked well done despite requesting medium, and the overall flavor was meh.

We waited a long time on the check, finally flagging down our server after she'd walked by multiple times. Not bad, not great... it'll do in a pinch.

Wow. This place looks like from movie. I came here with low expectations but got a treat for the eyes and stomach. Not an upscale date night kinda place but rather "I want to have a legit breakfast like I saw in an old American movie". Filtered coffee refills when the waiter was passing was really good. High chairs available if you woke up alone and kinda in a rush. Super experience.

Tiny little cafe - a bit hidden in a hotel entrance.
But worth it to visit. Food is nice, warm and delicious. A various choice of breakfast.
Easy payment with QR code!
Can highly recommend this cafe

One of the best breakfast in town! And one of the few that opens early in the morning! Coffee is first class an the venue is amazing: it seems to have travelled back 1 century. Last time I visited I had a combo and simply loved it. Omelletes here are great too and portions are generous. Service has always been excellent and personnel helped in any way to make the experience memorable.
Will be back!

I had a wonderful omelette, called "veggie lovers" with onions, mushroom, spinach. I don't like bell peppers so I had them replaced with avocado. They don't accept substitutions and charged me for the avocado but it's fair enough as the omelette was simply lovely.
Courteous staff and spectacular location inside the liberty-style Pittsfield building. I'll come back!

Very nice spot inside the building, feels like you are having breakfast in grand central. Food is so good had steak and eggs, delicious, if your hungry then it's the ideal place, food portions are XL. Service ain't that great didn't get coffee refill cause the waitress was busy elsewhere.

The fried pickles are spears!!! The French toast was obviously made from scratch and I loved it! It’s a cute Chicago hidden gem. I hope it stays for a long time!

Service was great and extremely friendly, Edith was fantastic. Ordered le croissant (crossaint sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon) and hashbrowns with grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. Everything tasted and looked great but hash browns was missing the cheese.

We loved our breakfast ???? here. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Got plenty of coffee and juice.
My food was delicious ???? however my hash browns were a bit on the burnt on the top side with no seasoning???? but other than that it was good. You’ll love it here. Yes, this place is super busy so their turn around has to be quick, and that doesn’t make them bad it makes them efficient, with great smiles and delightful food ????
