Feels VERY local, not touristy. Friendly staff, fast service.
The wait for a deep dish “Chicago” pizza was shorter than the wait I’ve had at the more well known places.
Pizanos is my favorite pizza in the city. (Bold statement I know.) Their butter crust gives you all the goodness and texture of deep dish without all the extra dough. My favorite is Marks Special with fresh crushed garlic. And their Hollys Cookie is the perfect dessert!

Great place! Has a good menu with great pizza and pasta — and the bartenders are fantastic! You’ll find a mix of locals in here which makes it even better. Highly recommend the pasta marinara and meatballs!

PIZANOS! Like taking a step into another time and place, Italy 1920, where the music and wine is plentiful, the company is buzzing, and the parmasean is fresh. The deep dish was second to none, but only as good as those who cooked it. It was a very authentic atmosphere, old style, yet youthful. Thank you for a great experience!

This is a Chicago institution. Their thin crust pizza is my personal favorite pizza in the world (and yes, that includes New York style). It’s made with some type of corn meal, so it’s very crunchy but not greasy or flakey.
Their “deep dish” is less deep than other Chicago style places… it feels somewhere between thin crust and deep dish, so probably less memorable for tourists. But still tasty as they use the same corn meal style crust, so crunch but not greasy.
The setting feels more like a mom and pop Italian restaurant than the typical Chicago mass produced deep disk pizza spots.
Overall, go. Get the thin crust. Then go back the following week. This has been my plan for 5 years and it’s worked flawlessly.

Pizano’s Pizza & Pasta did not disappoint. We had their thin crust pizza. Love the butter crust. Very cool atmosphere. Huge selection of adult beverages. Good menu selection. Great sports memorabilia on the walls. Very clean and the wait staff was nice.

The worst miserable excuse for a pizza, and a total rip off..33 bucks for a medium cheese/sausage ( which really is a small everywhere else)and 6 bucks to deliver it, plus tip..40 plus for that!.. I should have ordered from Lou Malnatis not Rudy…pure garbage!..

We ordered the Rudy's special to go, It was descent, tasted same as we expected, nothing really wowed us, a bit too salty to our liking.

This is a very good italian place. Their deep dish pizzas are very good although a little bit on the salty side. Their crust on the pizza is amazing. BBQ wings are a must as well as their Holly and Little Rudy's Chocolate Chip Cookie dessert.

So... My wife loves their thin pizza. I gave it 3 stars only because I didn't love it. But, I think it's simply a matter of personal preference. The place was packed, it was comfortable, and everyone was quite friendly. The ingredients seemed very fresh. I don't think anything about the food was bad per se, I just didn't really like the crust on the pizza. But that's not an indication of the quality of the food or the place in this case.

You have a wide choice and honestly you can't be disappointed.

The pizza was good, the atmosphere was great, and the service was good. Would have been five stars but it took a long time to get a box and our bill. Seemed like our waiter disappeared for a while. Overall it was a good experience and we will return the next time we are in town.

Ordered chef's choice pizza and I like it. It's not as good as Uno's though. There are a lot of sauce for the pizza so if you want your pizza lightly seasoned this is not the right place for you.
Paid extra for anchovies (half) but the amount given the surcharge is too little

This deep dish pizza was the first we tried on our trip to Chicago. It was really cheesy and had fresh tomatoes in the sauce. However nothing I was amazed at. My boyfriend however thought it was the best pizza of his life. Service was amazing very attentive and friendly. We paid around 27-30$ for a medium.

05/15/21: I called an order for pick up and was told my food would be ready in 40 minutes. We came by the restaurant 45 minutes after my call and I was told by the older gentleman at the hostess stand that our order didn’t go through the system. He was the same man that took my order earlier. He told me that it was busy at the restaurant and that they were getting a lot of call in orders. Let’s say, we were annoyed with not having food ready. We ended up eating at the restaurant instead and basically ordered the same food we wanted to go then now for dine in. We first got the bruschetta. It was terrible. The tomatoes were flavorless and unripe. The bread was barely toasted. Next came the angel hair pasta with meatballs and marinara. This dish was good. The sauce and meatballs were nice. The two meatballs were smaller than described by the server, so that was disappointing. Next came the individual sausage deep dish pizza. Fiancé liked the pizza more than me. I’ve had a few deep dish pizzas and this one was a little bland. The crust was more hard than crispy. There wasn’t any real flavor with the crust. The cheese, sauce, and sausage were just ok. We all got a chocolate chip cookie for 2. The cookie with whipped cream and ice cream was pretty sweet, but good.
One of the managers wanted to give us 1/2 off our meal, because of the phone order fiasco. We politely declined since we know restaurants are all struggling and didn’t want to be total jerks. We gave them the benefit of the doubt. The service is the reason I’m giving Pizano’s 3 stars. The food on this occasion was half meh and half good. I probably would give them another try if I’m around this location.
