Excellent deep dish pizzas, great service and nice atmosphere.
I am highly disappointed in Due's pizza. I have been eating this pizza and raved of its taste and quality fir over 40 years. But the taste and quality was a let down. The sauce or tomatoes were salty and crust was extremely hard. The pizza just didn't taste good. They need to use same ingredients as Uno & maybe it'll be good again. But would not come again or recommend and management is a disaster to deal with. The bar is about the only decent thing to get. It was my friend's 1st time eating the food and were very disappointed as I was as well. Shame!

Pizza is great. Garlic bread is nothing better than cheap garlic bread you can buy in the grocery store and make at home. Deep and thin crust pizza are both great though. Very cool little place.

One of the great places to have an authentic deep-dish Chicago pizza.
Staff is nice and place is very crowded. Make sure to make reservations beforehand.
My order took around 45 minutes to be ready. They let me know about the time as soon as I ordered so be prepared.
The pizza is really good and the dough very thick. It’s unfair to compare to a classic pizza. It’s a “different” thing. More like a pie pizza.
Be careful before ordering because the slices are big and thick.

Had a Caesar salad and individual spinach deep dish and both were quite good. Kitchen was a bit slow but the server was quick and efficient once the food was ready. Reservations advisable.

Nothing redeeming. We ordered two glasses of wine, soup, salad and the spaghetti and meatballs. It couldn’t get much simpler than that. After quite some time the wait staff came and set a bowl with spaghetti and meatballs on the table. No wine first, no soup, no salad, not even any silverware. So the pasta sat there and got cold for a good fifteen minutes while we asked for some silverware and EVERYTHING else. Finally got the soup and salad and wine. We asked her to please bring the pasta back warm then sat for a good ten minutes waiting for a spoon for the soup. Which we finally got, along with the pasta… back again! While trying to remain optimistic, sadly, the soup tasted like it came from a can, the salad like a bad school lunch salad - lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a few slices of onion, and the spaghetti and meatballs…NONE of these items are hard to do right! The spaghetti was so over cooked it tasted like it had also come out of a can. The meatballs weren’t bad, but it was all just sad. Any part of all of this could have been overlooked, but, all together, it was impossible see where ANY effort was invested at any stage for this sad meal.

Good customer service. Appetizers were good the wait for the deep dish pizza is 45 min and it was horrible.

Love this pizza, same as Pizzeria Uno. See my review there. The place is too small though, cramped seating, cramped everything.

I've always gone Uno's since I moved to Chicago in 1970, after all its the original! Never ever been to Due's, but now it's my favorite! Why? Less tourists! Same great pizza, less crowded. According to bartender Alex, many more local regulars.

The original! We had to come by and check out Uno. We will be back in town later for Due!
The server was very friendly and attentive. She did tell us it was a long wait (we showed up at 11:30am and got our food about 12:15pm with few people there).
The pizza itself was good, though we got the smallest size (individual) and I feel like you don’t get the same experience with a slice that small. Will have to try a bigger size before we leave!

Delicious Chicago-style pizza and excellent service!
On Jun 30, 2022 our family spent a day in Chicago. This was our first time in the "Windy City". From our tour guide and friends we heard quite skeptical opinions on Chicago deep-dish pizza, but nevertheless we decided to risk and try for more complete Chicago experience. We picked Pizzeria Due based on reviews and we were neatby anyway.
Surprisingly we got sitted quickly though the place was packed. Our waiter Aaron was very attentive and helped us to decide on the order as what we initially planned was 3-4x what we could eat :) Our pizza came fresh and hot in 45 min after order (exactly as promised), and was absolultely delicious! It certainly exceeded all expectations and was well worth the wait!
Appetizers:
Buffalo wings - good fresh and juicy.
Mains:
1 large deep-dish pizza - half veggie / half pesto 4 cheeses - both sides were delicious!
1 personal BBQ chicken deep-dish pizza - great, fresh, and tasty!
1 personal plain cheese deep-dish pizza - can't assess as we took it for our 7y old used to New York pizza and as expected she didn't like it :)
We highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you Aaron for great polite and ettentive serivce and advice on the order!
P.s.
Turned out this restaurant is a second location of Chicago famous Pizzeria Uno which is probably equally good.
Our private tour guide later confirmed this place was one of the best Chicago pizza places as they make everything fresh instead of heating frozen stuff like in many other places
Don't order too much so you can finish everything in the restaurant. Next day this pizza is certainly not the same :)

We ate here on a family vacation. This was our second try with deep dish pizza. Our first try was Giordono's. We all preferred Due but also learned that deep dish pizza is not our thing. The service here was great though. The toppings where also really good and plentiful.

This place was such a let down. We got a Caesar salad which was gross. The thin crust cheese pizza was underwhelming—the pizza was tasteless. The soup we ordered was completely forgotten. The service took forever. Cutlery was forgotten so I fetched it for our table since I wasn’t willing to wait even longer. What a disappointment.

Thin Crust Pizza was ok, nothing special, but service was horrendous. 12 minutes till server came to take over, appetizer forgotten, and everything was dreadfully slow. Don’t recommend.

It was a total blast. I had the White Pie with the garlic knot as side and it was my best pizza experience in my life. I ate pizza in Roma, Italy, Berlin, Portugal and many more. But this little Restaurant with cool and nice people around made it to my personal #1. will never forget.

If you’re going to get deep fish pizza you better come here. I never really liked deep dish till I came here. Great atmosphere and service and it’s in the basement of the building. How cool is that?? Plus they have spumoni!! So good!!!!

Excellent service with excellent food! It was a wonderful experience for us. My favorite deep dish pizza to date!

Even though it's called "second", it was my first place to have a deep dish pizza (that was not previously frozen). I loved how flavorful and meaty it was. The wait was excruciating 45 minutes, and we were warned about it.
In the meantime, we got cheesy garlic bread with marinara dipping sauce and individual special salad. The salad is quite large for one person, even if you don't get to eat anything else. The garlic bread didn't have much garlic but had a cheese pull to compensate.
When the small Numero Uno pizza arrived, we were somewhat full. Our server, Kumar, neatly cut it into 4 pieces, but we only finished half of it. Even reheated the pizza made a perfect lunch the next day.
The restaurant also has a free refill of PepsiCo drinks.
The place has a lot of pictures of old-time Chicago on the walls that you can explore while waiting for the order. The dining area is in the lower level of a mansion, so it's rather dark; the windows don't let much sunlight in. The music is various; to be honest, I didn't expect to hear "Eye of the Tiger."

The bad:
We had a reservation and got a table 20 minutes after the selected time. Even though the table that we got was ready since we arrived. The lady who was the manager or in charge at the time was rude to us and kind of condescending.
We ordered some wings as appetizers and were cold when we got them. Beer took a very long time to get.
The good part: The thin crust pepperoni pizza was great! Awesome flavor, great sauce and was cooked perfectly.
The deep dish was also very good, but we all agreed the thin crust was better.
To summarize food was good but due to short staff what could have been a great experience was just an ok one.

Deep dish pizza was so filling! It takes about 20min to prepare. They were open late which was great. Def a meal on it's own so be prepared to share.
