After my second time here, i see the care and hard work going into the final product at this restaurant. The first visit, a female bartender was so friggin nice and helpful. The second visit, the male bartender tonight was making some MEAN Martinis and couldnt have had better customer service. The first time i ate here, i could literally smell the prosciutto being carved to order for my cheese plate, it was insanely tasty. My second time, tonight, the kitchen just full on attacked my taste buds. The fresh baked focaccia bread was something else. The specialty pasta was perfectly prepared and cooked, I am grateful. What’s best is i would come back here just for their desserts and fresh brewed espresso. Maybeeee my fave Italian spot in chicago now. Get here.
We have been to the restaurant a few times in the last year, inside and outside. We have tried something different each time. Most recently we (3 of us) were there on 8/19/22. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful and she knew the menu well. We shared a shrimp appetizer with toasts and we enjoyed it. We had gnocchi which were very light and puffy. The meatballs were delicious and well sized.the chicken with linguini and asparagus was tender and delicious. Desserts were tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake, and there wasn’t a crumb left. Our son lives around the corner, so this is a nice walkable option and a satisfying meal.

The staff and chef are all amazing. I had my steak cooked wrong and the waiter didn’t make a big deal about it. He was very kind and brought me a fresh steak with all sides included. I eat here often and I’ve never had a bad experience. Richard was my waiter and he was absolutely great!

Great Italian bistro. Had the swordfish special with linguini. Delicious! Great service too.

Amazing atmosphere! Some of the BEST bartenders I ever encountered and the service was beyond amazing. They were full yet it was like I was the only one there with the attention. Incredible staff & I'm not from the city. Can't wait to go back!

Very disappointing experience last night. I've been living in the neighborhood for about two years now and used to frequent Pr bistro last summer. I went last night and everything changed. Very very poor service, discrinatory waitress and super bland food with varying portions amongst guests even when ordering the exact same dish. No exaggeration we waited over 30+ mins just for our entree on a time of the night where it wasn't even as busy anymore. And when it did come out the food was bland and my mussels undercooked. Even after mentioning complains to the waitress she made me pay for everything coming out to over 100$+ for an extremely disappointing night. Not to mention the drinks tasted like used sink water.

Pasta was so weak. I had to use half the Parmesan cheese to make it taste better. It was supposed to have a red sauce and there was no red sauce to be found. My drink just tasted like ginger beer nothing special. So disappointed from the first time I came with my fiancé back November 2021.

My husband and I loved this place! Service was great, food was amazing and overall experience was so great that made us thinking about our next visit here. The quality of food is definitely noticeable and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good Italian food.

We've been coming to this place whenever we can over the last 3-4 years, and it has always been a very good experience.
Ambience: Very cozy and nice. Date nights, intimate dinners with friends or loved ones, even just a casual but nice dinner
Service: Usually very good, sometimes when it is busy there are gaps in service, but that is going to happen at all restaurants of this size when busy.
Food: Very very good, very consistent. Like I said we've been coming here for the past 3-4 years, and have loved everything we've ordered. The menu changes, the chef's board changes, so the food options never get stale or boring. I think the pasta is extremely good.
Price Point: You can get away with a nice dinner for two at under $75 dollars, which in Chicago, for food of this quality, is a steal.
Overall: I think the 5 star review is warranted, at worst 4.5 stars. The

Good Italian food in Chicago is an expectation, to say the least. You can't huck an Italian beef sandwich without hitting a joint serving decent Italian food.
But PR Italian Bistro serves AMAZING Italian food, and thus stands head and shoulders above the crowded Italian culinary scene.
Their menu eschews a vast number of pages, instead favoring a focused selection of incredible eats prepared with fresh ingredients and the kind of care normally associated with nonnas.
Though the quality comes with a price tag, PR Italian Bistro is worth every single penny, and then some.

Our waiter was wonderful and made excellent suggestions. I was here as a first time dinner with my boyfriends parents. It was such a beautiful ambiance and the mussels were phenomenal. 100% ask for the bread and oil with park cheese because it won’t disappoint.

I've been going to this place for years. I got two salads over the last few months that had yellow arugula in it, with just a few good pieces sprinkled over the top to make it look nice. So not only do they have bad produce, but they know it and they're trying to hide it.
Tried to give it a pass. But recently ordered a few dishes and the containers that the food was in came smelling like mothballs. Like it was in a damp moldy basement kinda smell and it transferred to the food. I almost threw up when I got the food. The meat was really bad quality, like something you get from Walmart.
Chef is a great cook but you can't skimp out on the quality of the ingredients and what you deliver your food in. *Do you really have to be that cheap?*
Your customers have been supporting you through the pandemic and keeping your business alive. Our account has ordered from you countless times throughout the pandemic and you should recognize that. Instead of giving us quality delivery you give us your worst products because we're not in house to complain about it. Shame on you! Lost a customer here.
Edit: We don't appreciate being called liars. It's a childish way to address a customer experience that you don't want to hear. I cannot upload the awful smell of your to-go containers, but see the picture of your arugula salad - the one you say has no yellow leaves. It was ALL yellow underneath the first layer. We threw it out.
