Salernos Pizza of Chicago Reviews

Overall Rating

Everything Salerno's makes is awesome! Their pizza is outstanding, it's one of the top 3 best pizzas in Chicago it's just not as well known and marketed as some of the more well known places. The tiramisu is BOMB as well, not many come close.

This location doesn’t disappoint with the pasta and pizza. All ingredients were really fresh! And the staff was nice.

This place gave Hawaiian Pizza a bad name.. it suupose to have lil Chunks of Pineapple on top toasted along with chunks of Ham or Saussge toasted on top with the Mozz. It.
IT WAS TOTALLY SAD.. VERY Sad!
Even the Greek Salad.. was sad.

Don’t get the focaccia sandwich. Everyone else’s food looked great but this sandwich I had was really sad. Picture you are 5 years old and your mom made a sandwich for you to eat at the beach. Mine had pieces of Kraft cheese on it and looked nothing like the pictures online.

Flavorful, tasty good pizza???? in The 312! Great service and nice environment ... I loved the overhead music played! ???? I would definitely dine again there and I highly recommend you do, too!

The food is good, but the wait staff floats around having no clue how to be attentive to their tables, instead they congregate at the hostess station. Not worth it to sit and be frustrated then leave and walk thru clouds of second hand smoke since these same employees are allowed to sit at tables met for customers outside smoking at the entrance. If we want good italion food Tufanos will now be our choice until Salernos gets their act together.

I had only been here once before prior to today. The food was delicious back then and I vowed to come back. It took me a while, but I am so glad I decided to grab lunch from here today. My pizza and salad were delicious! Definitely one of the best pizzas in Chicago (and I love and know pizza lol). Also, I received friendly and quick customer service in the carry out area. I highly recommend Salerno's Pizza!

This is the other famous Chicago pizza: thin crust with piles of cheese you sink your teeth in. Need to get used to their remodeled bar - nicely done to brighten up the dingy part of Grand Ave.

Salernos just finished up a whole bunch of remodeling to help make your dining experience stellar. You can sit inside or outside. They have new windows totally open up the restaurant. And then we have the food..one of those required things that makes any restaurant, a restaurant. They have an excellent selection..of just about everything Italian going way past pizza. This includes free parking. ENJOY

Just okay.
We asked for a well done thin crust, it was soggy as could be.

We also asked for green peppers and got red and orange? It was overall not great.

Edible, but not what we wanted. The parking lot is a game changer tho, lots of space.

I ordered a thin crust sausage and green peppers on March 26th. See the photo where cheese is missing in the middle..also zero green peppers. When I returned the pizza they offered to make another one which would take 45 minutes. I asked for my money back and they said it would take 24 hours to process. I never received my money. They stole $42 from me for the pizza shown in the picture.

The food was amazing. We had the fried calamari. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo and it was muah (chef's ????). Worth the trip from oak lawn to the city. Service staff was ????

We ordered the thick crust for delivery and it was surprisingly great!!! So good. Definitely will order again. Also, the thick crust is heavy so if you don’t like left overs order way less than you would for thin crust.

The best pizza I had in Chicago and maybe ever. The great pizza coupled with friendly and attentive service made for a great evening. I highly recommend Salerno's to anyone who is in Chicago and wants to try great pizza. They have thin or thick crust and the sizes work for individuals or big groups. Personally I got a 10" thigh crust for just myself and it was far too much!
