Quality quality quality! I’ve been to many sushi places in the city and this is one of my favorites! Prices are affordable and they don’t overfill your rolls with rice. They are attentive to detail & the sushi is delicious! I also received an extra treat with my order. You can tell they really appreciate their customers!

I’m just blown away by the QUALITY of the food here! I’ve been searching for THE Japanese place to go and I’m so glad that after a long search (5 years in Chicago) I finally found it. Thank you so much for making great Japanese food... I’m just happy to live near by to enjoy it!
Definitely give it a try!

Wish I had taken some photos of the food! But we had a great meal and loved the thank you note and extra treats (delicious assorted grapes and some chocolate biscuits).

The sushi was fresh and neatly prepared. Loved the wasabi spread under the nigiri pieces. The combo deal (nigiri pieces, California roll, and miso soup) was a great value.

We will definitely be ordering from here again! Happy to have a “new spot” for sushi!

My family and I have been going here for years. Before COVID, dining in was a treat. Joon would come to our table and greet us and it was such a joy to be around him. The food is delicious and consistent every time!

Amazing! I got a sweet potato roll, avacado roll, Shiitake roll and a tuna roll. Everthing was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Plus to make this more special they have some cute small snacks. A new favorite place. Staff here are so friendly.

I was feeling done so I decided to order out for dinner and they gave me some biscuits on top of my order! It was a very pleasant surprise and made my day. The food was so so good, probably my favorite sushi place in Chicago! The food came very clean and well-packaged. When I crave sushi, I will definitely order out form here next time.

Reasonable price, excellent quality sushi. Deep rich flavors with quality you can taste. Really easy pick up, quick turn around. Smaller portions but worth every penny. The broths in the soups are also excellent, highly recommend a soup. It's a perfect meal, will return and recommended.

Drove past this place everyday on the way to work for years without trying it, can't believe I waited this long! It's a very modest looking restaurant but the food is top notch.

I love the menu here; so many irresistible items and something for everyone. The non-fish options are great too if you're with people who are weird and dont like fish. Some of the best chicken teriyaki I've had in Chicago: reminds me of the teriyaki places in Seattle.

Sushi is unexpectedly good for the price, just as good if not better than sushi places that cost 3x as much. Come here if you want to get great fish without burning a hole in your wallet.

They always go above and beyond and you might even get some extra goodies with your order. We got some grapes, some sweet biscuit/crackers, and some free miso soup!

After reading countless exuberant 5-star reviews, the bar was set high for this small, family-owned eatery. After getting carryout for dinner, I've got to say it was just what we had hoped for! The sushi was delicious, delicate, and fresh, presented beautifully even in the styrofoam boxes it all came in--I loved that part! We also had the Aburi Chashu Donburi (a rice dish with pork belly), and it was to-die-for, a real standout.

The little touches, such as a couple complimentary small cups of grapes with a thank-you note, were the icing on the cake. The "chef's choice" options were also excellent, presenting a wide selection of delicious bites which we enjoyed every bite of.

New to the neighborhood, we were looking for our new go-to sushi place...we've certainly found that in Sushi Joon!

The service is incredible and the servers are attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed their miso soup, which is light and full of flavor. Also, their Aburi Chashu Plate is a must. I have never had such a tender, melt-in-your-mouth, sweet pork belly.
I will say, the sushi is on the more westernized side of the spectrum based on the rolls we picked. Expect to be stuffed after one full roll (+appetizers). ????

Sushi Joon is one of the best sushi reataurants I have ever eaten at. Not only is the staff very friendly, the food is incredible. We ordered a variety of different rolls including the Joon Roll, Rainbow dragon, and mango roll. The fish is very fresh, and everything was prepared beautifully. Joon even treated us to some delicious appetizers on him! For dessert I had the raindrop, and it was very refreshing. This place is a must if you want some great sushi and Japanese cuisine! ????

Craving for good sushi that won't burn a hole in your pocket...then this is the place to go. Food was very good for the price and service is very good. The garlic butter shrimp was the star item...I can eat a bucket of it. Tried the soft shell crab, avocado ponzu salad, agedashi tofu, and some sushi rolls. The rain drop cake was interesting...a very delicate and unique dessert.

This is one of those hidden gem restaurants, what really caught my eye as i was driving down the street was the Raindrop cake. I was going to order that to go but upon walking in, it felt like a change of atmosphere "peaceful". Staff members super friendly, very attentive, very proud of the food that is coming out, food flavor is spot on... Definitely coming back and bringing friends and family with.
