First time and won't be the last!
Service was top notch, and our waiter Sair, was very attentive and kind. We also did split the check in 3 ways and he was fine with it. We ordered 6 different tacos and all was good. They also have tacos for those that don't eat meat. Great vibe and will come again.

You have to check out this place if you love unique, flavor bursting tacos. They have a stellar menu filled with selections of creative eats. You will not be disappointed.

The rooftop is beautiful! It has a lovely view and a nice layout!! That was the highlight of the night. The food was pretty good. The service was okay. The staff was very friendly but I had to seek the server out a few times and it was not busy at all. The thing that was the most troublesome was the price. The taco plate is 20 dollars for what should probably be maybe 12-15 dollars tops. Margaritas are 15 each. They are big but that seems pricey.
So for a party of 3 (taco plate for each, 1 salsa/chips appetizer , 3 margaritas) the price was 125. Kinda of pricey for Portage Park.

Love the original location. This review is for the Portage Park location. In terms of atmosphere, it doesn't get much better than the large patio on the 2nd floor. It's very relaxed and you feel like you're somewhere else. Unfortunately, that's where the positive review ends. The prices are completely insane for what you get. $20 for a three taco dinner? $8 for a miller lite??? I know inflation has made everything more expensive, but wow. I went ahead and ordered - despite the sticker shock - thinking it would be worth it based on the quality I've come to expect from Tatas. What we got were basic, cheap, small tacos with iceberg lettuce splattered on top. I had taken family here from out of town and was borderline embarrassed about what we were served. We politely mentioned our dissatisfaction to our server, who said "people mainly come here for the drinks". I can appreciate that, but I won't be hurrying back for tacos OR drinks at those prices, despite the awesome location.

Love bringing my clients here. In the middle of our film productions, we take a break and walk over to Tata’s Tacos where I know the food is stupendous and the employees are kind. The menu offers a lot of variety and every taco is uniquely creative. This is definitely our vibe!

Tatas Tacos Kitchen & Social newest place at 5700 W. Irving Pk Rd is absolutely amazing! Beautiful decor in huge
dining room/ bar with great open space. Enjoyed the great vibe & tasty apps and plus they have an open rooftop bar area opening soon!
Great tunes and cocktails ???? Lunch Specials too

What happened Tata's you guys were really good when you first open. Your quality has gone down hill since then. I ordered the birria ramen and majority of it was FAT ???? also the broth was more like gravy, way to thick. Same story for the Birria tacos, we had to return them. There was more fat than beef! This was a very disappointing experience! Definitely not worth what they charge you. ????

I would say they have really good margaritas here. The one I like the most is Hibiscus margaritas. Not too sour and a little bit sweet in the end. They have pretty good tacos here as well. Two different tacos menus here classic and more creative. Ceviche here also fresh and tasty as well. Fast and intuitive services. FREE PARK in the back of the plaza.
