Took a group of 6 and we really enjoyed our meal. The pricing is fair for market value and the server we had was really nice and attentive. She provided suggestions but wasn't pushy, so it was much appreciated. Our group likes the crab claws, mussels, snow crab legs and clams. The NOLA oysters were really small considering their price, so we'll pass on that next time around. Corn, potatoes, sausage as usual for seafood places. I did not enjoy the sausage (it was very dry) which is why no 5 star review. 20% included for large groups, per most places. Overall, pretty good eats, some misses, but we'd definitely come back. Give them a try and enjoy some seafood!
Pricey; Lowcountry tastes better, has cocktails and is more affordable for couples or a large group.

I don't mind the price went up because quality still there but can't take the 3% Covid surcharge. It just like staff support and this is restaurant responsibility not customers. No more business for this place.

Food was fantastic and the service was amazing and friendly. Can't wait to make a return visit. Also big props for your covid safety protocols

A different endearing dinning experience; big plastic bibs, big paper towels, eating with your hands, eating from a bag instead of plates, e.t.c. We had the "ultimate feast" which was a great tasty value for all the seafood variety we ate. The place was very informal, sometimes a bit too informal, but endearing.

Ordered Da Grille Master (a platter of grilled shrimp and vegetables skewers, grilled lobster tail and grilled calamari), garlic noodles with shrimp, and one corn on the cob (see photos). Overall, it was very good and tasty. Portion-wise, it was a bit small for $65. Combo platters are the way to go, but if you're hungry, either pay more or eat more wings and fries.

If you love seafood, this is the place to go. Great staff, very attentive without being distracting, helpful in explaining their menu and explaining options. Fried shrimp were HUGE, calamari was delicious (that sauce that came with...omg).
Very messy, but lots of towels available; no utensils so don't dress fancy and bring your inner cave man with you so you can eat as sloppily as you want and NO ONE CARES!
It is expensive, but uhm, we're no where close to an ocean, and it was delicious! Well worth it.

I'm a big seafood lover. Have been to several boil house like this one. This restaurant has its unique style. Their seafood is not too impressed me. The clams were separated when it came to my table. The shrimpa were way too small. They don't provide something for you to put the shells. They don't provide gloves unless you are willing to pay. But overall, I believe it may be the best seafood in Chicago.

As someone who doesnt love seafood all that much, I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is pretty extensive but the server will explain how it all works. Quite pricey but also accommodates those who don't want seafood with other menu items. Would have 5 stars if service was quicker.

Messy but worth it!
First off its BYOB but they offer water and soft drinks.
If its your first time here it can seem confusing but the servers will let you know how it works. Pick your seafood (only comes in per pound!) and you can pick whatever and now much you want! Pick your seasoning (maniac is the way to go its definitely the most popular and delicious, just a little kick!!). Add extra spice if your daring enough! It all gets boiled in a bag and served to you as such.
They give you needed utensils but forks and knives aren't something that is automatically given if not asked. Plenty of paper towels around and like another reviewer said they were prepared having 2 sinks in the back! A bib is given to help keep your shirt clean.
When I went they were out of blue crab and crawfish, something everyone wanted to try! Only thing I was disappointed about.
Great seafood (wayy better than Joe's!) and friendly staff. As messy as it is to eat, the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean!
