We enjoyed the live music and the ambience. The food was pretty good as well. Service took quite a while, but I guess it was a busy time.
Food was very good. Waiter was attentive but lukewarm and didn't give us the same warm greeting and menu explanation as other waiters did for others. Had to ask for explanation of things he should have done up front. Would definitely come back as it is a lovely restaurant. Just feel like the service should have been better at a Waldorf restaurant.

The Brasserie was a convenient restaurant choice during our stay at the Waldorf Astoria. The restaurant is notable for its 1920s-inspired decor with a clean and modern vibe.
For breakfast, we enjoyed the quiche and the salmon Benedict. The food was good but under-seasoned. The poached eggs on the Benedict were slightly overcooked and did not have the runny yolks as is traditional for this dish.
The service was slow. It took over a half hour to get our food. Considering their limited menu and the expense, I would expect top-notch flavors and faster service. (We spent nearly $70 for a breakfast for two.)
For these reasons, it's worth going to this restaurant once to try it, but it's better to save your money and enjoy a better meal elsewhere.

We came here with girlfriends for a Sunday brunch. We made reservation couple days prior. Food was good but unfortunately service was very slow and as great as we expected it. General atmosphere is nice and they had a live music . I would say nothing crazy special about this French place except that it’s in very luxurious hotel located.

Beyond superb Breakfast! ????
The Brasserie is a special treat! What a delicious and incredibly presented breakfast! We enjoyed their waffles and omelette. Their fresh squeezed orange juice was to die for!!!! Service as coerced was top tier! Take a moment to come in and enjoy a meal here, the eclectic environment paired with the menu is an excellent addition to your Chicago trip.

The building and the restaurant is beautiful. The food was amazing, I ate here for dinner. I highly recommend the duck fat fries, they are beyond delicious and addicting. Our waiter was great (I think his name was Jessie…he had a tattoo on his forearm I think?). He served a large party of 8, very charismatic. I’d give it a 4/5, because it took a while for our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. I will definitely return in the future.
Update: Looks like they slimmed down their menu since I was last there. They have four entrees now and no longer serve the crème brûlée for dessert. They also didn’t have the wood fire oven options. The burger that I had on the new menu was awful. My significant other and I both had an overwhelming taste of charcoal. He had a medium cooked burger too! First he thought it was the cheese that he got on the burger (first time trying it), but then he tasted my burger and he realized we both had the same issue and it wasn’t the cheese. BTW the duck fat fries aren’t always very duck fat tasting as well, which is a bummer. But on the days that they are it’s amazing, if it’s not a good day it has a hint of duck fat but it just tastes like an average fry. I’m not sure if they lost a chef or what but I miss the old menu. Also my significant other did have a burger here in the past, and it was much better than what we recently tasted…not sure what happened.

The most incredibly crispy and fluffy waffles I've ever tasted. I don't think that waffle can be any better or improved in any way. Who ever is making those waffles, thanks a lot, you know what you're doing.????????

We walked in at 8:45 on a Wedbesday and had a fabulous meal. Brioche toast with tomatoes was buttery, tart and crunchy. Snapper had crispy skin and was well seasoned. Servers and staff warm and propetly trained. Sancerre was reasonably priced. Pear ice cream made in the kitchen was spectacular. Would highly recommend. Tjank you chef and staff!

We came here on a Sunday brunch.
Our dining experienced here was so much fun! We enjoyed the delicious food (The Brasserie French Toast is the bomb!, Steak and Eggs (mouth watering), the quiche for the day was savory that satisfied our palate and tastebuds! Good service! Our waiter Seth was very observant, they gave me another glass of hot chocolate as if they read my mind. Sent me a steak knife right away when they noticed I don't have one. Those small things that made our experienced here extra special.
The Jazz Live Band playing was very good. It gave a classy vibes in the place. This particular band only plays every Sunday, so we will see them again. We really like them. (Ive heard There's also other bands that play during the week).
We will definitely coming back here as we love the food, the service and totally like the classy vibes in this cozy, stylist, restaurant.

I dined here for the Chicago Restaurant week.
This restaurant located on 3rd floor, and seemed change its name, no more “Margaux” but to “The Brasserie”.
We enjoyed our$55 pre-fixed dinner menu, which was really good.I especially liked the onion gratin soup.
Also their service was superb...
We’d like to come back soon.
