We were looking for a restaurant with the full package and we found it here at The Bristol. After reading about the team on their website, I was so impressed with the bio of Arnaud Guillemin and the rest of the team here, with such a solid foundation we just knew this would be a winner, and our expectations were exceeded. A quick Uber trip just outside of the city and you will arrive at this stellar establishment. Everything from the moment you are greeted at the door, to professional 5 star service, interesting elixirs, culinary excellence, that is a work of art, with well balanced with flavor and texture, a very eclectic wine list and fabulous Sommelier. We ventured into the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairings and are so thrilled we did. If I could give this restaurant 6 stars, I would. A true epicurean delight. I see Michelin Stars in their future.

The Bristol offered My dad and I an authentic experience, and one of the best meals of my life! The outstanding tasting menu offered amazing and diverse courses, including gazpacho soup and pork medallions. And to finish, the meal was topped off with delicious ice cream. The presentation, timing, ambiance, and wonderful attention to detail truly made this experience a 5/5. I cannot wait to come back :)

Tonight I enjoyed one of the best meals I have had in many years. Tasting menu celebrating Summer from locally sourced menu items paired perfectly with wines and bubbly drinks. Every course was amazing, but highlights include Melon Salad, Pork Secreto, sweetbreads, and corn Ice Cream was off the hook incredible. Service was outstanding. Highly recommended. :)

I loved the Bristol. The menu was curated correctly and the service was great. I think the price point is rather high and I'd have liked more menu options but it's a solid place.

An overall solid set dinner, with an especially good value (8 courses for only $125). My favorites of the savory dishes were the scallops and the duck breast - both were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The highlight of the meal, however, was dessert, which was an eclectic mix of flavors.

Fantastic experience! We were a group of 5 on a girls’ night out and we all got the tasting menu. The service was great and we even got to meet the chef who came by to say hi! My favorite dish was definitely the fazzoletto pasta - so light and with a a subdued fragrance too, it was heavenly - not at all creamy/heavy at all. Our server (Murphy) was fantastic, he worked with the kitchen to help make sure we each had the duck cooked to the level of our satisfaction (as we all had different preferences when it came to how well done we liked our duck), and even helped customize our dessert experience which allowed us to try a sampling of 3-4 different desserts. Loved the desserts so much… the panna cotta was heavenly. Needlessly to say, all of us were nearing a happy food coma at the end.

We had a great time eating at their outdoor personal “greenhouse”. It was the best experience outdoor dining in the cold that we’ve had. Loved all the extra touches like personal speaker and air purifier. This was the first time we’ve felt like have gotten true “fine dining” service outside. Our waiter was extremely attentive (thanks Carlos!).

Food was excellent, great flavors and ideas. Only miss was the short rib, which could’ve been cooked better. However, it was worth ordering it just to get the sunchoke that comes with it - maybe the best bite of the night.

Can’t wait to go back!

Edit: We liked the Bristol so much, we ended up going back the next week. Was another great time, and a special treat to be served an 8-course Valentine's Day tasting menu (despite being outside). The best course of the night ended up being the short rib (total 180 from last week) - it was perfectly cooked, well portioned, and served with a great sauce perigueux.

We appreciated all the work that went into making the meal feel special, including the take-home menu and treat for breakfast the next day. Thanks again for a great time, we'll be back again soon!

It's a SPECIAL DAY AT @bristolchicago ???? Bucktown, Chicago IL @midwestmunching on instagram ????

We've wanted to try this spot for a while, especially because it's so close to us. The laid-back setting and energetic vibe + brick x leather gave us such a cozy and fun time! They have an awesome seasonal 8 course tasting menu that featured fall flavors. I would love to try next time we are back, given they update their menu seasonally

We weren't too hungry so we just went for the tasting menu. Plus I bet Ben didn't want me to pay too much ????

????Biggest highlight was the Maldafine pasta, filled with Cantonese XO sauce, shrimp, and turnip. Perfect to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Curls of the pasta hugged every bit of the sauce. It was perfectly chewy , slurpable with sweet, umami, and savory tastes of heaven.

????We also got the contemplantary Milk Bread which I didn't think much of but WOW look at my face. The caviar compound butter + crispy g light bread was to die for.

Other items include:
????Short ribs with truffle and sunchoke (not enough flavor) . ????With potatoes that were to die for. They literally were so crispy on the outside then melted into your mouth
????Pork shoulder & belly with blue corn polenta (a bit dry)

Desserts and cocktails were ???? BOMB though;
????Basque cake - they've made for 20 years, made with. Apple and served with sherbet
????Rice Panna Cotta - super smooth and light, the way that the Japanese would make it. Served with plum, raisin and a super crispy layer of cinnamon. Just WOW
???? nesting dolls - vodka, elderflower, rhinehall la nomande,. Versus
????Warmth hearth-. Bourbon & persimmon chamomile vermouth

highly highly recommend the pasta, milk bub,, basque cake, and rice Panna Cotta

Beautifully designed autumn tasting menu. Very good explanations with wine pairings. Each course had many ingredients that harmonized together very well. Can't wait to come back and try the winter menu.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Did the 8 course along with wine pairing for special occasion. Used OpenTable for reservation, which was seamless. All wait staff was great. The sommelier took the time to explain a few of the wine pairings. Zero complaints.

We had an amazing time dining at The Bristol! Hannah was very kind welcoming us to the restaurant and Delaney was so kind as our server throughout. Nathan and Christian did an excellent job taking care of wine needs, spotting a deliciously aged Portuguese red. The food was very memorable with incredible and creative flavors.
