This was such a great treat! Servers made the experience special, food was excellent and we loved our poinsettia cocktail! The decor is so festive!
Beautiful setting and a wonderful pot pie lunch with a great view.
We came here Christmas Eve and took a chance on trying for a reservation and got lucky and got the last open slot. They only take reservations so make sure to plan ahead. The setting inside with the Christmas tree is gorgeous and the atmosphere was really nice. For Christmas Eve they had people dressed as what I believe are sugar plum fairies walking around asking for your Christmas wishes. The pot pie was pretty good and the prices are not bad. This is not a Michelin star restaurant the food is decent but make sure to keep your expectations realistic. All in all fun time.

A wonderful adventure. The Saturday drag brunch was very fun. The food was fantastic, the chicken pit pie is classic and the chocolate cheese cake-so good.

If you come here you must request a window seat. The panoramic 180 degree view of the Chicago skyline is so beautiful and adds to the ambiance. From the chandeliers store the actual walnut wood decor this restaurant screams chic and classic. The food is great and the carrot cake superb! By the by it’s on the 7th floor above Macy’s! Nearly forgot to mention the amazing service!

This was my first time eating at this historic landmark. It was great!
We went to a Drag Brunch. The Drag Show was very Lackluster and we were very disappointed in the performance. The one Male in the group 'Tender Roni' was the best. He Danced and lip sang and put on a real show! The others I don't understand why they were even there. It was very disappointing.
The Food was very good and the Service was great! I will come back to eat here. But not for the Drag Shows.

The Walnut Room is a wonderful holiday experience! The holiday decorations were beautiful, the service was great but the food was just okay. The Wishing Fairies were the magical extra touch. I will definitely make this a yearly tradition.

Amazing that this fabulous Chicago tradition is only about 2/3 full, today. My wife and I have gone every year except 2020 with the covid shut down. This year, they came back strong with a gorgeous tree, excellent food and great service (major improvement) at a good price. One of our very favorite traditions every year, wonderful memories. And the Fairy Princesses are wonderful do both small children and those more fully ages ... Fairy Queen is singing happy birthday to a table next to us as I write. Please, enjoy one of the few remaining, lovely Chicago traditions.

The experience was simply lovely. The beautiful tree, delicious food, and the attentive service. Thank you, and happy birthday to our server, Rakiem. Thank you for making it a nice experience and sorry that the table in front of us was seating jerks who left without paying the bill. ( I overheard the whole thing. )

Wonderful pot pie and a beautiful setting. Lunch and some shopping for Christmas is a perfect way to enjoy the Holidays. The pot pie recipe is from 1890 and has a harder top crust than most so you have to break it and let it soften but it really works perfectly and is delicious!
