Good old fashioned style restaurant..had the Patty Melt and it was Dee..lish..ous!
I see why they been around for over 80years and hopefully around for another 80!
I love Top Notch Beef burgers. This is my 2nd time going to this burger restaurant. I thought I was going to Burger King but my Poppabae rode past it, and I said you just rode past BK. He said they probably wasn't going to be good anyway, And kept driving. But then he pulled up in front of Top Notch and I was no longer upset, but happy he passed up the other burger place, yeaaaah.
I had a 1/4 pound cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry & banana shake. He had a 3/4 pound cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade. We left with half our food in to go containers. We were stuffed and satisfied. The waiter was very attentive, thank you very much. And the food is still very tasty when reheated. We will be going back again and again. But not as much as I would like to being as we don't live on the south side any more. We live on the North side now. But you all should try this burger restraurant you wont be disappointed. You will be very pleased

It seems like the neighborhood crowd enjoys this place; the workers didn't seem professional; it's a very tight space in there. Maybe my experience will improve, next time...

Always delicious. Nothing is bad here. It’s a south side institution for a reason, y’all! My go-tos: Turkey burger, catfish sandwich, turkey burger melt. Also, the fries!

My favorite family owned restaurant in Beverly. I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and my grandpa was a regular. My favorite is their chicken tender platter with barbecue sauce! Their sauce is different but tangy, so yummmmmy ! Whenever you go you MUST get an Oreo Shake, you can taste the actual ores. But overall a great and inexpensive restaurant to taste.

Burgers; turkey and beef, fries, onion rings, strawberry milk shake, and rootbeer float were all amazing. Great service too. Top Notch is the best. See you all next time.

Absolutely delicious burgers and fresh cut fries. I rate this place the absolute best burgers in the Chicago area. The fresh ingredients and consistent preparation are always present. I've had many burgers in my lifetime and live 30 miles from this place. This is well worth the trip.

A well established restaurant with an awesome staff. A very friendly atmosphere with some of the best burgers and milkshakes in Chicago. A tremendous asset to the Beverly community.
There are other items on the menu that will surely satisfy your appetite such as the old fashioned Patti Melt. Google Top Notch Beefburgers to explore its menu.

Delicious burgers are the mainstay of this South side legendary restaurant. The main ingredient in their famous burger is the patty. They have been using high quality meats in their patty from day one and the difference is pronounced and distinguishable. The setting is classic nostalgia that hasn't changed much in all the years I've been going. Well done Top Notch.

The atmosphere and vibe are super nice as the restaurant has a nice interior and walls full of decorations. The restaurant was not too spacious, but it was not too small either, and it was just the perfect size for a restaurant. Parking is easy and accessible. The service is somehow great when it comes to the staff, who are very friendly and accommodating, but the food comes after what seems like a really long time of waiting. This restaurant is known for its burgers and shakes. The menu has a variety of options aside from the burger and shakes. I've known this restaurant for a long time, but this was my first visit because I never got to try it for whatever reason. Since they are popular for their burgers and shakes, the burger and shake were exactly what I ordered. I specifically ordered their king-size deluxe beefburger and a shake. The burger had a huge serving and the patty was bigger than the bun. To describe it briefly, the burger tastes fresh and delicious. It deserves to be popular because it was really that great. The burger comes with hand-cut fries, which are crispy and well-seasoned. Then, there are the shakes, which also taste good and are definitely one of the best shakes I've ever had.

Best burger in the city of Chicago, or at least on the Southside. A beverly cultural institution for decades and for good reason. This place holds a piece of my childhood and is a permanent fixture in my memory. The burgers are nothing fancy, but are downright perfect. Fries are consistent and impeccable. I recommend a milkshake, perhaps Oreo or vanilla. This place hasn't changed in 40 years because it straight up doesn't need to. It's perfect.

A staple of my childhood and our community. Burgers (with grilled onions of course), fries and chocolate milkshakes are amazing. Just discovered that the onion rings are too. Breakfast is also great but only served in the a.m. so I usually miss it.

1st time. If you want that burger and milkshake that reminds you of when you were a kid, look no further. Recently I've been noticing prices of the average hamburger and it's $12. But here, it's under and worth more. Its an old diner, and looks it, but great food and excellent service. ????????

This place has SO MANY 5 star reviews, and yes, they’re all warranted. I’m visiting my lady loves old neighborhood, and she insisted we try this local favorite. I could tell right away that I was in for a treat. The place was lively and the clientele was diverse, which is always a good sign.
Our thirst was never an issue as we were greeted with two ice waters the instant we sat down.
We both ordered 1/4 pound burgers with extra pickles. The burgers were hot and juicy, and the mountains of pickles next to them were sky high. I really enjoyed the patty of raw onion on my burger, while my lady love savored the fried onions she chose.
I’ve only been here once, but it seems like the type of place where everything on the menu is great. If you are an out-of-towner, like me, you have to try this place, if only because it’s full of locals. Top notch for sure.
