This place was so good that we came back the second time within a week. I love their nabeyaki udon the most. I haven’t been able to find a good udon place until Umai. The atmosphere is casual and the service is phenomenal. We always get seated quickly and the sushi are very fresh as well. Highly recommend Umai to everyone and we will definitely be back again soon.
Good location and nice decorations. The food was good. Highly recommended booking table earlier. They always busy due to the amount of customers. They need hire more waiters for sure.

Drinks were unique, not really my taste, but interesting none the less. The beef wrapped asparagus was pretty good. The rolls were good. Inventive take on a Salmon skin salad, not what I was expecting, but very good. The dessert took the show with the Green Tea Creme Brulee taking the top spot.

We had lunch here today and it was excellent! For sushi, I had 1/2 surf and turf, 1/2 a Chicago and a Philadelphia roll. The fish was super fresh. The surf and turf was an incredible mix of flavors. I wasn’t sure about apple in my sushi. But I was wrong - it was delicious!
My daughters each got some chicken teriyaki- the sauce was so flavorful and it was a really big portion (and came with soup and salad too!)
Service was excellent.

Attentive service, great atmosphere. Fresh and tasty sushi including a big variety of other Japanese dishes.

Ordered the spicy garlic miso ramen. Really enjoyed the chashu pork and minced pork but thought the portion size was too small, and the soup wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. The food came out very fast but it wasn't hot. The service was very attentive.
Went back and ordered the katsu kare. It was really good, and the serving size was huge! Would definitely be back again.

Great service and nice venue, but the two bowls of ramen (tonkatsu and spicy miso) are disappointing. I came here a few times years ago and had good impressions. But this time the broth is not as rich, the noodles too chewy and hard, and the rest of the ramen are merely okay: nothing stands out in particular. Overall it’s a letdown and I wonder if there’s a change in the cooking staff.

Umami caught the attention of a friend and myself while driving by. We stopped in for dinner and we’re not disappointed. There was a large menu with a wide variety of options. I got a noodle bowl and my friend got the sushi. The noodle bowl was great and the sushi was some of the best we had ever tasted.
The atmosphere of the restaurant felt very cool. It was definitely memorable. There were many windows facing the streets to allow in the light from outside. It’s worth a stop by if you are looking for authentic Japanese food.

One of my favorite local places to go to. Excellent atmosphere and service with an amazing and fresh menu. Great place to pop in for a quick bite or have a night out with friends and family.

The sushi was great and very well presented. Everything was also fairly priced. Between four people, we spent under $150. They do not take reservations, so be prepared to wait during peak hours.

Ordered Spicy Garlic Ramen which was pretty good. Umai offers good service and presents a calm environment. Would try it again!

Fantastic place and really good food!
Was there specifically for sushi but got to try japanese curry rice as well.
Large selection of choices including appetizers, entrees and drinks.
Quick service with friendly servers.
Def def recommend!
Our favorite sushi: umai crunch, chicago.

Always celebrate here. I spent so much more money in this restaurant because the food is way better than others. Ramens don’t taste good, but sushi, and all the appetizer and tempura are really going to satisfy your cravings. Services aren’t good here. Waiters and waitresses will clean your table as soon as you finish your food unless you spend more than 100 bucks.

The ramens look pretty but not really authentic… the tsukemen soup taste sour, and the winter ramen taste wired.
Good vibe and sometimes too loud at night!
Not authentic Japanese food

Love this place!! The Winter Ramen is my all time favorite bowl of ramen EVER!! Slices of beef, ground pork, a poached egg and the broth is loaded with flavor with just enough kick to feel, but not to slow you down from eating. I can only wish it was offered year around
