There's not much to be said that hasn't already been said. If you're looking for the best chicago tavern style pizza, then this is the spot. The thinnest, crispiest pizza you can find. Order the italian beef with hot peppers, and your taste buds will thank you. This establishment is also cash only, so hit the atm before you get there!
Extremely disappointed. The pizza didn’t even look fresh and was lukewarm (we did dine in). Hardly any cheese or pepperoni. Left more than half of it because of how bad it was. For the price I paid I honestly should’ve just gotten multiple Little Caesars Pizzas. Terrible, won’t go back again. Cafeteria pizza is better than this.

**CASH ONLY** WARNING** CASH ONLY** 1st time ever at Vito and Nicks. I have seen it on all the Chicago food blogs. Rated the best thin crust in Chicago. It was delicious. Definitely did not disappoint. Very unique taste to the pizza. The seasoning on top of the pizza was super tasty. I tried the sausage pie and the Italian beef and hot giardiniera pizza. Both were excellent! The Old Style Beer on tap was tasty and the price was right.

the pizza is awesome. the sandwiches are good. if you need to use the bathrooms don't. they are not nasty, the door doesn't lock,(someone walked in on me mid wipe) the stall door is on the floor and rusted and the bathroom is filthy. it was so bad it cost 2 ???? it was that bad. as in call the health department bad, I've seen cleaner gas station bathrooms or festival bathrooms. really avoid the bathrooms as they are that BAD. also cash ???? only. seriously hold it.

Classic cracker crust. Chicago pizza at it's finest level. Superb. Old Style on tap. Can't ask for a more authentic experience.

You can’t pay for nostalgia. It’s like dining used to be. Cash only but extremely reasonable. Our server, Samantha J was extremely professional and busy, but had the most warming caring eyes and could tell she loved her job. She did an excellent job. The pizza is a 10/10 and arguably the best Tavern style there is. At 102 years old, they have perfected crust. You won’t find it anywhere like it. I love this place. You can’t and won’t be able to replace nostalgia and atmosphere, this place has it all. The fountain pop tastes like fountain soda SHOULD taste. For you bar patrons, looks like very healthy cocktails and extremely cold refreshing beer. Do not overlook the jukebox! This place is the gold standard for definition of a Chicago of yesterday. A National treasure.

I’ve heard many good things about the pizza here, and I figured I had to try it. We wad their thin crust pizza and added spinach as a topping. We ordered it as takeout and picked it up just as it came out of the oven. The piping hot pizza lived up to the praise from other pizza lovers. Their menu states their small is a 12”, but ours was at least 14”-16”, and they cut the pizza into bite-size slices that were easy to eat. My wife and I ate the whole pizza, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We’ll definitely venture back down to the south side for this phenomenal pizza.

Good pizza. Only 2 sizes, small and large. Very thin crust,so not a lot of toppings. Took awhile for our order to arrive for being a so thin. A very well baked, almost brown pizza. If you don't want it that done , maybe ask if they can make it not so toasted. A couple complained about it being over done, but even I know as my first time there that it is a medium well-welldone pizza. An okay neighborhood pizza, will recommend it.

Old Italian vibes here. Cash only. Upon walking in for dine in, we were encouraged to sit wherever we pleased. Ordered a large half sausage & half pepperoni pizza. Didn't take very long for our pizza to come out. Kindly enough, our waitress came out with our pizza but had noted that a chunk of the bottom of our pizza had gotten ripped off and therefore slightly charred underneath. As a result of this, she let us still snack on that pizza and we could avoid the charred parts underneath. However, to make up for this, we had a whole other pizza being baked for us to make up for the burnt one at no extra charge. All that aside, this is surely the THINNEST pizza I think have ever had. The pepperoni was perfect whereas the sausage took over the taste due to the thin crust slightly. I will importantly note that this pizza is more of a snacking pizza ????. Because of how thin it is, I feel as though I'm snacking away on chips and could keep on going for a long time. As a light-on-the-stomach pizza option, then it's a good option. But this is probably not a cost effective option for bigger families to get full from like mine.

This is the best pizza in Chicago. We had the sausage and pepperoni which was amazing. Cash only and no ATM so get it ahead of time!

Some of the best pizza I've had, I have yet to find another place that's really on this level. That being said if you like a thicker pizza this isn't for you. However if you looking for nice thin crust, this is the thinnest I've found and that's why I love it. If you really want the full experience try eating in while the pizzas fresh out of the oven.

Got such high recommendations for this place from friends that used to live in the area but were sadly, extremely disappointed... We waited over 2 hours for our pizza and it definitely wasn't a busy afternoon since all tables turned over twice while we were sitting there. We had 3 different bartenders, none of which jumped to serving us or checked in on our pizza order aside from one who told us, "it's normal to wait an hour, even hour and a half for a pizza on a busy day". Note, we had ordered ours 2 hours before that. When they finally realized it, they rushed the order which resulted in almost zero Italian beef and burnt crust. Disappointed given the high expectations we held for Vito and Nick's! ????

What can I say. Wow this is really good pizza. Thin crust with tons of flavor with the right amount of everything. Cheese is great. Pizza is soft yet crunchy. It's a little pricey as it's a little over $21 per large pizza but it's a high quality pizza. Probably one of the best thin crust pizza I've ever had. Would I have it again? Absolutely! One important thing to note: CASH ONLY!

Just a handy reminder this is a CASH ONLY location.
Pizza is very thin crusted amazing goodness worth the trip. Be sure to get an Old Style on tap, they have PBR also on tap. Dinning room has looked the same as long as I can remember. Loving coming here I grew up nearby. I highly recommend stopping here

The pizza looked amazing. It had a nice crack to the crust. The cheese and sauce are good not great. But my real issue is with the sausage, it was over worked for my taste. I like it pinched not smuched and reworked into a paste form, it takes away from the flavor as you don't get the nice charred tips that makes the flavor pop.

We took a $40 & 30 minute Uber from our downtown hotel to try Vito & Nicks. As we saw it mentioned on every online thread & reviewed by Dave Portnoy. This place has been here since 1932! We walked in and the pizza guys /makers asked us if we had an order to go or if we wanted to dine in and directed us to the host. They sat us right away. We asked our server Mary which Ravioli she recommended between the mushroom, cheese, or sausage and she said we had to have the sausage and we are so glad we did cause they were so good! They came out pretty quickly too. The sauce they were served with was so perfect that we even finished it off by the spoonful once the raviolis were finished- hehe. The pizza did take a little while (about 50 mins) but the place was absolutely packed and it was totally worth the wait! We got half pepperoni & half sausage. We ordered a 12” for the two of us and still had about 6 squares left over. Loved the vibe, the lighting was cool for pictures. We will be back whenever we visit Chicago again! Cash only, btw!

Pretty good. The pizza it’s ultra thin and crispy. I shared a large with 4 people and was left pretty hungry. Plan to get a lot because it’s not very thick or filling, but it is yummy.

If you’re a crackery thin crust fan like me, this is like going to church. The pizza is so fresh, so caramelized, so crispy and thin. It truly will exceed even the loftiest of expectations. The vibe inside is a welcoming local feel. Cold draft beer, friendly servers, and a casual corner bar atmosphere. Be aware this is a cash only establishment. And worth every penny!

So after hearing about how good the pizza was I had to try it for myself. I had sausage and pepperoni and a sausage , pepperoni, green pepper mushroom and onion pizza just to try the different flavors. The end result was they were both amazing! The crispy thin pizza is full of taste , the way they top it with oregano is delicious! Must try it ... the fries are also really good and to compliment the whole oldschool feel you must have it with a pitcher of old style beer !! This place is everything! Delicious pizza and a great oldschool feel .. 100 recommend!!!!
