Yuzu Sushi & Robata Grill Reviews

Overall Rating

This place is a bit pricey, but it was tasty, much like other sushi places. Best bet is to go to a reputable AYCE, cause we still could have ate much more than this amount.

Had a great time with my partner and had an amazing time with her at this sushi place.
It had interesting design and nice vibe and environment. The taste of the sushis was good and with cute design.

The sauce on the skirt steak skewer omfg! Great. Rolls were a bit basic, we had the rainbow roll and I was not a fan. The Sake was great, I forgot which one we had but it was light and crisp.

The food is pretty but not the best flavor… especially for the price. Just kind of meh. The Korean rib was so chewy my partner had to spit it out. The bacon scallop was just okay.

Came here on a date and really enjoyed the experience! Surprisingly the sushi tastes (almost) as good as it looks. Also loved the spicy miso soup, octopus balls, and dumplings. Only wish they had more alcoholic drinks and better lighting for pics :)

Great service, great recommendations & the rolls?...
The rolls will keep us coming back until we've tried them all!! We spent the day checking out Chicago's street art and ended up at this gem! As if someone told the chef what we were up too!

Food is absolutely delicious. Great combos. Miso soup (spicy) is a hit. Make a reservation to be sure to get seated but if you go early enough you should be fine and able to be seated at the sushi bar.

The only reason I took one star away is because we ordered the jumbo rolls but they didn’t seem wrapped tight enough and most times came apart at first grab. This, of course, did not affect the taste, but made it a bit more work.

Enjoy!

My friends and I ordered 2 jumbo rolls. One of them is vegetarian friendly. The rolls were really good and was highly impressed by how the chef displayed their sauce. Would go back here and try out their other jumbo rolls.

Yuzu surprised me because I really thought the food would knock me off my feet...unfortunately it did not. I've had better sushi in the city. The display is obviously a huge attracting factor to this restaurant and rightfully so. The sushi looks like artwork. I think also Instagram definitely made Yuzu Chicago famous.

My husband and I came here to celebrate my birthday. The service was great and the rolls that we ordered were delicious. The Boy Meets World jumbo roll was in fact a jumbo roll. It had pieces of mango, along with tuna, in it that gave the roll a perfect taste. We also ordered the La Vie in Rose - a sweet potato roll with avocado, cream cheese, and spicy mayo…AMAZING!

The food here is amazing and the service is too notch. Everything was so fresh and beautifully presented. The staff was great being reserved and yet very attentive. I went there for my wife's birthday and they were able to make a special presentation of the Matcha Creme brulee (delicious).

This place is always good! Signature Rolls are huge and very tasty. Decided to try cauliflower robata skewer this time, and it was a miss. Sapporo draft made it much better though ????

Loved this place. The sushi was very fresh and were generously portioned. I love the idea of having dipping sauce as art. I also love a lot of sauce and they provide a ton when they bring out your food.

Boy meets world was easily our favorite jumbo roll. Originally thought the mango was going to be weird but it actually complimented the roll well. Born to chill was decent, I wouldn’t get it over boy meets world though. Boston crunchy was the only regular roll we got but it was decent. I probably wouldn’t get anything other than jumbo rolls if I went back though.

The skewers were also really good, with ribeye being my favorite. Meat was very flavorful and the sauce used was really good. Yakitori was also good but for the price I wouldn’t get it over ribeye.

We went on Valentine’s Day and they were VERY slow. The kitchen must have been super backed up because it took us a good 30minutes to get our food. The server gave us two free drinks for the wait though so it wasn’t all that bad.

Always ????????????????. This particular dinner was extra special as our first larger group to get together in a minute! Their service is always on point and food?! I mean it's YUZU! They stay steadfast in providing delicious rolls every rip. Apps were solid as were tried a bunch of stuff. 14 people accommodated last minute and we have no complaints. Go there and go often!

Always good sushi. Beware they make you prepay $15/person to reserve a table which is non-refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of the time. They also add a 22% hospitality tip onto your bill. Still good sushi with cool artwork made from their sauce.
