This place was inside of the Farmer’s Market which was a little bit hard to find. We have been searching for a French bistro for a while and this one was the best in the area. The roof was partially open so that it allowed sunshine and fresh air to come inside. It was very covid-friendly.
The food that they offered was the authentic French homemade style. We ordered a dozen of oysters, a cheese plate, and the boeuf bourguignon. The boeuf bourguignon was the best dish we tried. It is named with French, it was beef with their exclusive sauce, it was absolutely flavorsome. We ordered their French natural wine, it was pairing perfectly with the beef we ordered.
What we noticed is that all the seafood served in this restaurant could be found by the seafood market on the side. It could also be a more affordable choice for people to buy the raw materials here and cook from home.
We enjoyed a tasty and fun afternoon celebrating Bastille Day. Noah was a fantastic guide to our menu choices. We started with a refreshing bottle of the house Rose wine, the escargot puffs and vichyssoise. The main course of Coa Au Vin and potatoes was good but wiuld have liked a little thicker a sauce. The music was very enjoyable and we very much recommend Monsieur Marcel. Do visit the outstanding grocery store as well, we brought home some wonderful cheese and pate.

Wow, where do I begin? First of all, their location is spot on. There's just so much to do and so much culture around. If you are a French cuisine fan, aficionado or even just curious to try, THIS spot is the THE spot. The staff was aslo very welcoming and helpful. My party and I had 4, fully cooked meals all under 40mn. Every was cooked to perfection and we did not feel rushed, which was perfect since we had to catch a flight. The food was full of flavor and the price was very reasonable. This is lovely place to bring a date for a romantic evening, or to just have lunch with friends or coworkers. They definitely delivered. Highly recommended!

Food is delicious. My family and I loved our food. Some meals had very large portions, but the adult salmon dish did not have enough food.

Dining inside the Farmer’s Market with delicious French food, while scores of people buzz by, is a real treat. I’ve been to their market many times, as well as their location in the LAX airport, but this is my first time dining at the restaurant in person. We stopped in for lunch as it was a warm Friday today and we both really enjoyed the experience. Our server was also very polite and attentive.
I chose the French Onion soup to start and really enjoyed it. I get this dish often so I can really judge it against a few other restaurants that I’ve had it at recently and this is definitely is one of the better ones. For my entrée I chose the Croque Madame because I felt like one of my favorite comfort foods and it did not disappoint. As always the egg on top with the Mornay sauce is the perfect combo.
I live near and shop at The Grove often so I’ll definitely be back soon and would recommend to anyone looking for a great casual meal in a unique location.

I LOVE Monsieur Marcel! I can't tell you how many times I've been here and have completely forgotten to write a rave review about it.
They have thousands of different imported specialty foods, olive oils, spices, snacks, chocolates, cheese, etc. - it has something for everyone. I can honestly say they have ingredients you can’t find anywhere else. And while the prices are a bit steep, it’s worthwhile.
The staff who work with the wine section are some of the most friendly and knowledgeable people who will be more than willing to help you pick up your next bottle (or two).
Oh, and they have some of the best croissants.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Where do I start with this wonderful little gem? I've probably been here at least a dozen times over the past few years. This is one of my favorite places in LA.
Tucked inside the Farmers Market, you will feel like you’re in France at a local bistro.
My always order is the Kale Salad with Pesto Chicken (Caesar au poulet). We usually either start with the oysters, the artichokes or the octopus (although last time, it was very over cooked).
I’d recommend a Saturday or Sunday brunch here. You won’t be disappointed!
Also the market is awesome. We love to consult with the deli counter attendants on which cheeses and meats to get for our world famous charcuteries which is serious business in our house. We’ve also been known to grab some great wines and house wares here too.

Gotta love the outdoor French cafe vibes. The table settings and chairs take me all back to Paris. This time around, I had to order take out, and got the Croque Monsieur Madame sandwich. I’m not usually big saucy sausage type of guy, so maybe I should’ve gotten something else, it was ok. Would love to eat there in person too next time.

Fantastic French market and restaurant with an array of pantry and deli items, wine and baking/serving utensils and stemware. Their seafood market is exceptional, as is the bistro, which combines selections from the gourmet market and the seafood market. Wonderful service in the bistro and friendly, helpful staff in the market. I look forward to revisiting.

Had a wonderful meal with a fabulous friend. She had the onion soup and a salad, while I enjoyed the quiche with a salad. It was all delicious, including the olive appetizer. Who knew olives could be so delicious. Add a nice glass of wine and it was a perfect light summer meal. Perfect end to a great week of traveling.
