I visited today since I was in town. I used to eat Maggie's all the time when they were on state street. In those days their food was amazing ! Today I visited their new spot and would have to be honest. The food is nothing like it used to be. Not as flavorful as it used to be! I can tell they either changed cooks or lost their touch.
Mac and cheese was watery smothered pork chops very fatty not enough meat a lot of gravy..rice and pinto beans could take it or leave it collard greens were good cornbread was dry paid almost $30. wasn't worth it

It's a beautiful thing when you're looking for some "good ole" soul food. Don't count the calories--worthy of falling off the wagon! The potato salad and macaroni & cheese are my favs! (And so are the candied yams, fried fish and collard greens!) Enjoy!

I wish I had photos to share, but we ate our meals so quickly there was nothing to snap. The chicken was awesome, but the mac & cheese was next level!

Will drive over an hour to get this food! The Candied Yams A+ The Mac is unmatched in consistency and the mouthwatering textures of the Peach Cobbler are must haves!

They are a family own business that strives to make you feel good about what you are about to purchase. Cake is always good and if you like soul food you can't go wrong.

Horrible service. The 2 young girls that work the register & takes order are rude, unprofessional & nasty. They act like they’ve had no home training or education. The older woman who handed me my order was a step above them as she is the one I voiced my complaint. I told her I will never return because of their workers.
Black owned or not, they don’t deserve my money. Plus, the place needs cleaning. Not inviting to sit & eat.

I went here today for the first time and placed my order online. Something I will never do again when trying a new restaurant. I ordered 2 friend chicken dinners, one with Mac and yams, the other with Mac and green beans. When I got home I didn’t have green beans but a duplicate order of Mac and yams. The reviews are what sold me and I still can’t understand why this place has good reviews because the food was nasty. The Mac n cheese was pale! No color whatsoever and very little cheese but a bunch of salt and pepper. The noodles were also over cooked. The yams were just ok but seemed to be lacking flavor and looked like I received the broken remnants from an emptying pot. The fried chicken was ok too and was the only thing I ate. I didn’t even bother with the cornbread just threw it out. My son also only ate his chicken as well and I took him to McDonald’s smh..I will not be returning here and will tell others to stay away. I paid $26 for a fried piece of chicken because that’s all I ate. Picture attached for proof…. Also when being greeted by the Hispanic looking woman after 5 minutes of standing at the counter she spoke as if I was an annoyance instead of a patron willing to spend money.. never again!
