The drinks are ok, though the beer selection is minimal. The service is good and the place is noisy but nice.
When I sat in the chair, there was a nice French fry that stained my pants...
The food is terrible. Overcooked salmon and skirt steak, fries were old and chewy. The "gravy" on the carne asada (skirt steak) was greasy, salty and hardly edible.
The waiter was very nice, though.
I would come here for drinks only, after inspecting the chairs.
Quite happening place it is, generally a too busy place so it is recommended to prebook or else you need to be wait at least for 30-40 min. The food is best in quality and the quantity, service is quick. Parking lot is there.Good options available for the vegetarian people.

Food was delicious and came out on time and nice and hot. My drink was on point. Made it just before dinner rush. My waitress was very help and on point. I love when they keep coming to the table to ask is everything alright. Best time to go on Wednesday before 5pm.

Seems like a popular spot to dine with the convenient adjacent parking lot.
The grounds are well maintained and friendly people all around. Reservations are taken upon entry, and you have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining, a text message is sent to your mobile when your table is ready.
We were seated comfortably by a window. Love the whimsical color lighting and decor. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer to share (4 scoops), and it was fresh.
I decided on the blackened Cajun chicken with 2 sides, black-beans and Jose’s rice. The marmalade-like special sauce complimented the cajon chicken nicely.
My Husband’s order: chicken and beef Enchiladas on a bed of melted cheese, black-beans, Jose’s rice And grilled avocado with mango salsa (for both of us), all very tasty.
The unlimited chips and Salsa were a bonus
We were served relatively at a good pace considering the wait time to get in and how crowded it was. Our server, Emilia was great, her recommendations were excellent, her sunny personality brightened up the atmosphere.
It’s rare to find a place where you have all three; service, food and atmosphere so well balanced.
It was such a fun experience that I saved it to my restaurant folder :)

Hyped place, that’s all. I lived in New Jersey for 4 years and used to be a big fan of this, since I am visiting Jersey after 2 years, I wanted to go here with my wife to have her try their food. Honestly I now realize difference between Mexican food here and in California, can’t compare. The food is okayish, it’s like you are eating cheese, beans and rice, not much for vegetarians to try out. Also, the prices have gone up and it’s no longer a place with $ sign but rather $$, not coming back.

What a fantastic evening my wife and I had! The skirt steak with the secret sauce (I forgot the name... I remember the word Bowie in the dish name) was the best meal I've had a restaurant ever. It came with a side of shoestring fries that were great (better than regular fries that are usually "just there") and a grilled avocado with mango salsa on top. Amelia, our server, was *excellent*, and her recommendation to get the secret sauce on the side was wonderful advice. Jose Tejas never disappoints, and this time it was above and beyond!

If I could give this place 10 stars , I would.
We came in on a Monday afternoon and the place was packed for a reason.
Everything we ordered had so much flavor. There was nothing we did not like. You get a lot for your buck.
Our customer service was top notch as well.

Okay, if you are in the mood for TexMex, this is definitely the place to go! FAIR WARNING: the wait time is sometimes long, depending on the time you get there (15-40 min.).
That said, I had the Salmon tacos and they were delicious. The salmon was well cooked and the mango salsa added a refreshing taste to the meal. My friends ordered the steak with the tejas rice and they absolutely loved it. The beans with cheese were also tasty and the size of the meals were great for the price. For those of us who love Margheritas and Sangria, this place has a variety of options. I would definitely recommend it for friends and family.

Popular spot for lunch and dinner. Was there when they opened today and there were 15 people already waiting to get in. The free salsa and fresh baked chips are excellent! Today I had Chicken Tejas and fries. Delicious. Sat at the bar and even busy, service was good. Definitely recommend trying this place.

I've been going to Jose's almost my entire life and I have never once had a bad time there. Everyone who works there is always friendly and I love the ambiance. The food is always delicious, I am still trying to find a salsa that I like as much as theirs. Their pastelitos with chimi verde sauce is a must get; the sauce is so fresh and flavorful! I also love their gumbo, jambalaya, and salads. I've never had a bad meal here and I highly recommend visiting if you never have...and going back if you've been here before!
