The oxtails didn’t even taste like an ox
Macaroni taste like butter noodles
Rice was mushy like maggots
Honestly they could take more time and effort on making the food

1st time I've been there; it won't be the last! Fried catfish, yams, corn bread....????

I went to this restaurant recently and I had some rice and peas, jerk wings with some broccoli ????. Overall the broccoli was the best out of all the wings are very disgusting and the rice isn't steamed properly I wasted my 15 Dallas on garbage. PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT

Eating here varies because some days the food is good and in some days the food tastes like they didn't care at all I go here for desserts because they have some of the most decadent pieces of Cheesecake I've ever seen in my life and they have a variety of different kinds of cheesecake and different cakes but what I will say is you have to be very very cautious around their freezers because some cakes if you don't pay attention may have mold in them because they don't check them often but other than that the service here is pretty good and the food like I said it varies give or take depending on what day of the week it is

2/12/22–The staff was nice but the food was absolutely disgusting. The fried chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease. Macaroni noodles were overcooked, too much butter and tasted like they used off brand cheese. The rice was too soft and I ended up catching a stomach virus for 2 days. I thought I was going to die. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Please practice sanitary guidelines and universal precautions when handling food. I wouldnt recommend this establishment.

The food was pretty good surprisingly. I say that, having southern heritage, many places say soul food but it's no frills or thrills. The fried fish mac n cheese plus the rice and corn medley was seasoned with care. Try it out if you are in the neighborhood or mood. We also got the banana pudding soooooooo ????????????????????

In general, NYC doesn’t have great BLACK AMERICAN soul food in my experience. Not in Harlem, not in Brooklyn. I was in the neighborhood and stopped in. For reasons I mentioned earlier, I was hesitant but hopeful about this place.
They have an auntie in the back so I thought for SURE the food would be good. Sadly, the greens and fried whiting were unseasoned. The fish NEEDED hot sauce, which shouldn’t be. The mac and cheese and banana pudding looked dry and old in there. I’m sad because the auntie was sweet to us but the food did not deliver. Only the yams were good ☹️

I really enjoyed my #12 and my mother enjoyed her #3. I’m big on “too much salt” and this restaurant did not disappoint. Their fried fish and shrimp was PERFECT and well seasoned. OH and let’s not talk about the beautiful sliced
cakes that pleasing to the eye??!!?! SINFULLY DELICIOUS!!! I can’t wait to try their frog legs, YUM!!!!????????????????????

My family and I decided to try this restaurant. We saw that it was new and wanted to support! The food was delicious! Especially loved the yams and fried fish! We will definitely be returning! Service was great, portions were large and the food did not disappoint! We will definitely return and encourage others to give this new gem a try!
