Sooo good! If you are looking for a happening little spot, this is it! Drinks are great and food is delicious...had to get the canoa, yuca fries and some guac and chips. Yummines.
I went on a Saturday afternoon at 3p till about 7p customer serviced suked, the server appeared to not enjoy her job at all. I felt she was annoyed anytime i asked her for anything. 1 server n 1 bar tender I still can't believe they dont have separate lunch times anyway they decided to sit down to have lunch together!! Like the place literally stopped ✋️n came to stand still. On the other hand, The bar tender was much friendlier n willing to discuss ur drink options. The food was excellent no complaints there. Just a shame the Servers Customer Service was soo poor..

First all the food is slamming. The empanadas are unforgettable. The guacamole is something you are not willing to share. My daughter destroyed the wings in two seconds. I would advise to get the wings crispy and have the sauce on the side. The Tacos were pretty good you get two for 13 bucks. Nelly is really nice she know how to handle a crowd.I will say if you want a table call in advance the place is small in the process of expanding with a roof top.

The place and the people are very nice, the food wasn’t bad but they could do much better. The area however looks like it’s not a good area, lots of graffiti everywhere lots of stores closed down and solitary. Doesn’t feel safe.

The atmosphere was fun, the place was cute. As for the food, the taste was great, I loved it. But I wouldn't say its fully authentic puerto rican food. I would recommend coming here though, since the food was still great.

On Flushing Avenue in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, lies a Puerto Rican restaurant called Norwinds. Google Maps says it’s a funky Puerto Rican cafe.
I guess it could be considered funky, maybe it’s the neighborhood.
I decided on the Hiberito sandwich even before I arrived based on a google picture.
Instead of bread, they use two broad pieces of fried plantain and put strips of steak with lettuce, tomato and their special sauce in between. Unique and delicious.
In the Age of Covid, we ate outside in the new normal of street dining. Melissa was our gracious server who was friendly, patient and efficient.
We now have a new go-to spot in Bushwick.

The food and drinks were amazing! To start, my family & I had the Isla Platter (appetizers) carne frita, emapnadas, tostones, bacalaitos and alcapurrias.....perfect way to explore a little of everything. I had the Jibaroto (steak sandwich in between two fried plantains. See pict below). Every family member ordered something different (see picts below) and they all loved their dishes. The dessert was equally delicious (Flancocho). We went around August when the weather was still nice so we had an opportunity to visit their back yard/outside setting. This is a place I will return to.
