The jerk chicken and cabbage was phenomenal. The type of good where even when you're full you HAVE to keep eating because you're not ready to let go of the taste. Best seasoned cabbage I've ever had. The mac and cheese was bland but dipped in the jerk chicken seasoning/gravy livened it up. The prices are also very reasonable especially for the portion sizes and if you come early enough to get it as a lunch special, it's a steal. Glad to have another black owned business to patronize and share with my friends. Sad there's no seating available though
I was surprised to see a new soul food spot next to taste of seafood and decided to finally give it a try months later. I tried mac and cheese, yams, and oxtails. What a disappointment!!! The oxtails were mediocre; certainly not better than Caribbean stars oxtails on Lenox ave but the mac and cheese was the BIGGEST disappointment. I tasted it and was so confused! I let my boyfriend give it a taste and he couldn't even finish it! It tasted like HAMBURGER HELPER! The cheese didn't even taste like cheese. Omg, there is some type of seasoning on it like taco seasoning or beef or lord knows what! But that is NOOOOOOT IT. My boyfriend says it was the worst mac and cheese he's ever tried in his life and he is not an exaggerative person! I don't believe it was a bad batch because it looked exactly as it did from the pictures that I see on the internet from other reviews. I know it's really bold to say it was the worst mac but it was definitely the top 3 worst mac and cheese I ever tried in my 28 years of being a black person, especially from a place claiming to be a soul food restaurant. The people are nice though and I tried a piece of cake which was good. Oh, and the yams weren't that good either. Everything went into the trash beside the oxtails. I'm sorry to be harsh but these recipes needs some tweaking. I would choose taste of seafood every time for mac and cheese and yams in comparison to Nadias but they did relocate so.. looks like ill be traveling.

My new favorite soul food spot to grab lunch. I've had the salmon, Mac and cheese, collard greens, green beans, yams, and the turkey meatloaf- all are winners, delicious and well seasoned. The young ladies are polite when taking orders and asking about any sauces I may need. Food is packaged well and the place is clean.

I found this hidden gem on my lunch break . And they can definitely count a continuing customer . The food is so good and flavorful, staff welcoming and warming and yes black own :) which is a plus lol . I ordered the lunch special: turkey meatloaf and Mac cheese with cabbage … and I was in heaven definitely caught the itis at work ???????????? . But overall 10/10 recommendations. They have other options and I can’t wait to try some
More thank you for your service !

The food was horrible. I ordered Two meals one was lemon pepper wings with Mac and cheese and yams, the second order was fried fish, red rice and yams. The only good thing was the yams. The Mac and cheese was dry, it didn’t have cheese on it and was seasoned with something weird like Sazon. The rice was dry and hard. The lemon pepper wings didn’t have any lemon pepper seasoning on it. Save your money!

I just ordered from Nadia's the other day for the first time , I was feeling for some great soul food and just got home from work and did not feel like cooking. After doing research and reading reviews , I decided to order from them . Best decision i made lol I got the beef ribs which seemed more like pot roast but it was fine , that's how tender the meat was and the turkey wings with their turkey wings , mac and cheese , potato salad , collard greens , and yams . I'm west indian so I'm picky when it comes to food , no one gets it all right but when I tell you everything was so on point and delicious ! MANNNNNNN ... I felt like it was thanksgiving , will DEFINITELY be ordering again . My new go to soul food spot .

Just got their oxtails and collard greens and it was THE BEST! It is so hard finding well cooked oxtails southern style. They were SO tender and well seasoned! The collard greens were also really good and from scratch! I cannot wait to go back and order again. I also saw that they had almond cake but, I am on a no-carb diet right now (darn). I love almond cake but, it is such a hard flavor of cake to find in NYC. So I was pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu. I have to try it when I go back!
