Really good lox bagels, very impressed by the quality of salmon they used. For $16 we had the lox bagel with cream cheese. Take a ticket and wait for your number to be called out. The only downside is that there are no seats available.
I was up early so decided to hit up this contender for top NYC bagel as lines can be lengthy later in the day. So worth it!! I had the classic salmon on an everything bagel. Bagel definitely amongst the best I’ve had in the city but the salmon was absolutely amazing and is what really sets this place apart from other bagel shops around town. A new favorite for sure!

Be ready for the huge line ups and the long wait times. Once you get through that the bagels are a hit. Classic bagel was alright we instead loved the pastrami style smoked salmon bagel. Also tried the caviar cream cheese with everything bagel which was really good.

Prepare to queue on a weekend morning, and the bagels may cost more than what you’d get in other stores. But it’s worth it! Bagels as you like them (plain, poppy, everything on them, etc; toasted or not), your choice of fillings, and really good fish. The staff has excellent attention to detail as well, slicing salmon as ordered (presumably so they don’t dry up?) and including only the good parts in your sandwich. Delicious stuff; would go back to this one

As a traveler in town from the south, i was pleasantly surprised at the amount of fresh goods made in house. The root beer and beet shrub were my go to drinks only because i didn't have enough space for anything else! The pastrami salmon with all the fixings is what I ordered and would recommend. Worth the wait and be sure to try the candied fruits,a pastry or the house chopped liver or house mustard.

I specifically chose Russ & Daugters to try the classic Salmon & Lox bagel. ???? Service - brilliant, nice gentleman who helped choose the right order. Bagel - delicious, great quality ingredients, tasty and perfect to eat in the park.
Worth waiting in line for a while to try it. Remember to go inside and take a card with a number and then wait for your turn.

quite the variety of cream cheese flavours! we tried the horseradish dill on a pumpernickel bagel and the lox spread with scallion cream cheese and veggie add ons (capers, tomatoes, onions). the lox bagel was super fresh (they cut it directly from the fish), highly recommend. the cream cheeses were unique and delicious!

Very cute deli serving bagels with a great range of fillings, from cream cheese spreads to different types of smoked fish. The bagels were top notch and their salmon is amazing. They also sell canned goods, a few sweet treats and coffee.

The fish was excellent. The bagels were perfect. There was definitely some patience required to deal with the crowd but the food is great and the ambience is super fun and old-school.
All the employees were very nice — don’t be shy about asking for details about the flavors of the different fish, the host at the door was happy to discuss in detail the different kinds of salmon and the sable and the other fish.

Every time I visit New York this is the place I go for bagels - truly the best in all of NYC. They have dozens of varieties of smoked salmon which is really unique since you can select the flavor you like the most if you prefer a certain type of salmon (they don’t let you sample the salmon anymore since COVID which is a bummer). They also sell other items like dried fruit, deserts, and the black and white cookie which are also really good. I've heard that the wait can be really long, but I’ve always gotten lucky and was able to get inside and order right away. It really doesn’t get any better than this and I highly recommend this place to locals and visitors alike looking for the best bagels in New york.
