Went to this place for a different taste. Have so many places to chose from on East Tremont and I'd never been to this one. The place is nice but really seems to be more geared to providing a friendly bar feel than a serious restaurant. Montados were luke warm, tostones seemed to have been made earlier and meats heated them up. The steak encebollado was fatty. The gandules in the arroz con gandules were overcooked ( too soft) and luke warm. The arroz con pollo although a very large serving had been made a day or so prior. The chicken had that day or two old flavor. The drinks ( Coconut mojitos) were inconsistent flavor wise. I was going to blame all of this on the fact that I went on a Monday, but to be honest it shouldn't matter what day you go to a restaurant, if it's good it should be good every day of the week.
This place is cool and the food is delicious. The reason I'm couldn't give it 5 stars is because it was overwhelmingly loud in there. The DJ was playing great music but it was so loud that I was unable to hear the person sitting right next to me. I left with a migraine. If there is a time where the DJ isn't there, I'll try again. The rest of the clientele was enjoying themselves so if you don't mind super loud music, definitely check it out.

This restaurant has been here for a long time, been here on different occasions and the service, food, atmosphere, music... everything. Today I went for brunch and it was everything and more. The portions were perfect (I was full for hours) the organization and clarity with brunch service (no surprises) host tells you everything at arrival. Mimosas were ????. I will be returning and recommending.

We went for brunch and celebrated my oldest sister 58th birthday. Everything was excellent! The mimosas just kept on coming for that hour.

2 ladies at the front to greet were very polite and try to accommodate as much as possible. Our party of 8 was reserved 2 weeks ahead a time but when we got there we were place in the outside/ inside seating, that wouldn't have been a problem if the heaters were working. The surprise was that they expected us to sit there with coats on the whole night. Once the HBIC showed up and wasn't haven't, we were placed inside as we should have been. Drinks were great and food was good. Music is super loud but good music. Wouldn't like to try again.

The food was good, but the sangria terrible. Also, the brunch menu had only one authentic Puerto Rican dish - no mofongo, no arroz con gandules, no tostones, or maduros. The dinner menu looks much better.

I had a great time at Made in Puerto Rico. The food was great and the service was good as well. Very fine ingredients used to make your food. It was almost like eating at mom's for Thanksgiving.

Great food with reasonable prices!
Made in Puerto Rico has the comfort food you’ve been looking for. The taste and feel of the island shines here. The rice dishes are phenomenal. Very filling and satisfying.
The ambience is also great for date nights and after party delights.
