A fresh addition to the Trader Joe’s lot, The French Workshop brings a refreshing and decadent flair to the otherwise common Italian American bakeries on the island.
Large, expansive interior offers comfort in a post covid era.
Super organized Mike-long showcases are a literal treat to feast on.
The few desserts we tried were comparable to New York City fares like Financier Patisserie in their exquisite finishing touches and explosive tastes.
love love love the dessert, only reason i didn’t add that last star was because the iced nutella latte wasn’t one of my favorites, it barely had the nutella taste.

We love The Garden City location but this seems bigger and is a beautiful place. I have never been disappointed with anything ordered at the French Workshop. Great place to come.

Love this Bakery. Experienced the Queens shop on Bell Blvd before this one opened. For the most part, we love the desserts & coffee. The downside, it's pricey. The quality is exceptional. Most recent is the Creme Brule cheesecake which is so delicious. There have been a few things I didn't personally care & glad I tried the individual serving instead of the full size.

this place is very promising when you walk in. they’ve nailed down the ambiance, and the baked goods look divine in the cases. however, the actual food is where it begins to falter. i’ve had the egg white croissant and a few other sandwiches here. they’re mostly hit-or-miss (the egg white was a miss, needed salt and pepper at least). they also didn’t have any chocolate drinks, which c’mon. it’s a coffee place!
i would also say to stick to the bakery items, but even those sometimes disappoint. the mini apple pies are an amazing sweet treat and they have a diverse range of desserts to pick from. the bread is also excellent. however, i once ate a cookie from here that was so bad i stopped eating it after one bite, which is crazy. i would honestly put this on the same rank as starbucks, although starbucks have a bit more reliability with their options. i don’t want to paint this as the worst experience ever, but i hope the management takes some serious review of their food.

Clean and really cute dessert cafe. Modern decor and large space. Their desserts and coffees are delicious. I had the pistachio cake and it was perfect, not overly sweet. Also they have the best macaroons I have tried from anywhere so far. A bit priced high but you have to treat yourself every now and then.

A wonderful bakery with tons of options for both food, desert and coffee. Warm and regal aesthetic, and the staff was friendly.
If you have gluten intolerance, they do have a small selection of options for you which is always nice. Pricing is fairly cheap considering the portions and quality, an absolute must if you're a desert fiend.

Watch out Starbucks this is the French Workshop third location. I am a regular in their Bayside location. I was in the neighborhood today so I stopped by. The quality and consistency is spot on across locations. The mini pies are so good and I love that the variety. They roast their own coffee today I tried the Freddo Cappuccino it was perfect! Highly recommend a visit.
