I’ve been visiting this restaurant for 3+ years. Today while I requested fresh garlic to be added to the soup I ordered. I was told they don’t do that. When in the past I’ve requested it and it hasn’t been a problem. Since COVID started my family has always supported el bohio. Since my husband and I are essential workers many of times we’ve depended on el bohio to feed our family. In several orders I’ve spent over 100$ and every other week we order. Due to our work schedules. Today I was treated like garbage the employees have no customer service skills. They lack hospitality and understanding. I might never order from there again. They didn’t try to fix the situation or meet me half way with my simple request! That speaks volumes for the customer!

Food is still good but it's not a restaurant anymore it is a grab and go ,or you can order and eat i n the r estaurant no service no air-coneitioning

It’s not real Puerto Rican food
It’s Puerto Rican style food meaning there’s
No Puerto Rican cooking the food there.
There actually Dominicans
They were Puerto Rican in the 90s but they sold it.

I don't like to do a low review.this time I have too.im Soo disappointed with this visit.food look like amazing...but no flavor at all.lechon was old.arros con gandules no flavor super soso.the worse...guineitos en escabeche horrible!!!sadly never come back to this place.

I've been buying food here for quite some time and it's always good. Although today the chicken was a little hard usually it's really soft it comes off the bones. I still recommend this place.

Ordered delivery, via phone, Saturday evening 5/21/2022 and service was terrible.
Watch out for Blanca, who took my order and screwed it up and didn’t want to take responsibility for her mistake. Didn’t get my full order and it took about 10 minutes on the phone with her going back and forth, of arguing, insisting that I made the error. Wouldn’t allow me to speak to the manager and then she realized her mistake. I have ordered before where I have gotten good service and good food, however this past Saturday was the worst. Not ordering from there again.

Bought my normal combo stew chicken that I would normally pay 15.15. Was up charged by the “manager” for 19 dollars. Stating everything is sold separate. I have been coming here since I was a kid to grab food. The prices now are very inconsistent. And when brought to the “mangers” attention of the price difference all he could say was they charged me wrong the three previous times smh. On top of that the stew chicken didn’t seem done potatoes hard as hell. Never will I frequent this place again.

Food was delicious. Morcillas had a great taste but alittle dry. I asked for a pound and got 7 little pieces. Biftec salteado was delicious and arroz con gandules riqisimo.
I'll definitely eat again en El Nuevo Bohio.

I went with my family and we had lunch specials. The typically Spanish dishes were delicious...just enough seasoning and the portions were perfect for the price. In fact we took some home.
Just one thing was a bit bothersome. There was no waiter/waitress which was fine however when we threw our garbage away the area around the garbage can wasn't too clean so flies were around it. That was a bit gross.
However, again, the food was delicious.

We were visiting from OK and tried Puerto Rican food for the first time. It was so delicious! I can't speak for its authenticity, but I ordered in Spanish and heard lots of others do the same. The chicken breast (pechuga de pollo) was good, even though it was still breakfast time in my mind, and the alcapurria (a new word for me) was amazzzzing
