Great pizza. Great Philly cheese steaks. Best I've had for both... Definitely worth any wait and goin out of your way to come check this place out. It's the real deal. Bring cash.
Let me start by saying you may have to wait a little (they make every order fresh)before you get to sample what is without a doubt one of the best grandma pizzas you will ever sink your taste buds into! 1st time in my life I could probably finish a whole pie, by myself! Don't let me start on the crust! *As for the cheese steak it was ok, but I wasn't there for the cheese steak! I want to go there right now!
*(Update on cheesesteak)
Went back this time to try my own cheesesteak and I have to say.... I did not give this cheesesteak the respect and time it deserved. This cheesesteak was delicious! I had to move it up to number two on my list of best cheesesteaks! ????

Service was good friendly nice staff.
Prices were spot on.
But this pizza is not great it’s not bad but it is not worth all of the hype. Doesn’t hang with most east coast spots.
Sauce has very limited flavor.
They are pumping out A LOT pizza you can tell they quality is just not there.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars for Angelo’s, it’s as simple as that. We arrived Sunday at 1040 to find 4 people in line already for it to open at 11. Some may struggle between ordering pizza, a cheesesteak or another hoagie. Do yourself a favor and get both! We got the “upside jawn” pizza which was slightly over cooked for a perfect crunch and two cheesesteak with cooper sharp and onions ???????????? F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! We will be back for more!
Note: 2 cheesesteaks and 1 pizza took about 40 minutes and I was 5th in line when they opened. Definitely worth the wait and there is a large park adjacent with a tot lot for the kiddies. Also, they have 3 registers taking orders inside with no indoor seating and just a few small stools outside.

This place is incredible. I tried the upside down square, round with cheese, and round tomato pie along with the cheesesteak with cooper sharp and onions. I have to say the pizzas were all among the best I've ever had and the cheesesteak was the best I've had in my life. They bake their own bread fresh and it's anazing. Can't say enough great things. Definitely a must try.
With regard to the "lines" - it's a cash only spot where you can't call ahead. There was not a line to place an order, but the line you see outside is typically people waiting for their pizza, not ordering. So if you wait in your car, you don't have to wait in line! A distinction without a difference but you aren't actually waiting in line as long as some indicate after discussing with many other foodies and customers.

The dough is a major player here either for pies or baked for sandwiches. Fresh made on site. Top ingredients across the board. Hefty, beefy steak sandwiches. Top example of a traditional Italian hoagie and tasty pizza. Dough is great on the cheese pie, good ratio or cheese and sauce but a bit of flop - maybe pulled the slice before it set up but my personal preference is thinner and more crisp. Will adjust my order next visit and try the Grandma pie. Can't get that hoagie outta my mind :-)

Angelo’s did not disappoint. The pizza was fresh and the perfect amount of crisp and sauce. The hoagies are a 10/10, the sesame seeded bread is amazing. The bread is fresh, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Philly perfect.

This might be the one of the Pizzas I ever had. It was definitely the best cheesesteak I ever had. It was also the most painful process I ever went through for anything related to ordering food.
It was a cold and wet Saturday and we were suddenly in the mood for Pizza. So began the ordering process. I started calling right at 11 AM (Their opening time). After 81 calls (seriously), they finally picked up. We ordered a Grandma pie and cheesesteak with cooper sharp. We were told to come pick it up in 20 minutes. We actually had to wait around 45 minutes outside the shop to get it, but that’s OK. The lines forming outside the shop were crazy. They basically call your name and you go in and pick up your order.
We went to Cianfrani park and sat down to eat. MY GOODNESS. The pizza. Oh goodness. The pizza. It’s just amazing. Crispy, fluffy, flavorful, with just the right blend of tomato and cheese. My partner said it was the best pizza she ever had. It might be number two for me. The only pizza I rate above this is the Tomato Pie from De Lorenzo’s in Robbinsville, NJ.
Now on to the cheesesteak. The bread is just supreme. Make sure that you get the cheesesteak with cooper sharp and onions. It’s a game changer. It’s just a delectable mix of amazing flavors. I can say without hesitation that this is the best cheesesteak I ever had. It was good value as well. Our total order came to less than $35. I can’t actually remember the precise total because I didn’t keep the receipt.
All in all. It’s simultaneously one of the best and most frustrating food experiences I’ve ever had. Here are my suggestions so that you can place your order successfully.
* Order during off hours (Don’t try lunch time rush and around dinner time)
* Keep calling. You’ll get one through at some point
* Practice deep meditation and breathing exercises
That’s it. I’m giving it 5 stars because of the food. Some might find having to call in your orders and not having an online reservation system to be charming. But I dunno about that. They are old school and proud of it. Oh and also remember that it’s cash only.

Don’t overlook their Hoagies and Cheesesteaks. Angelo’s pizzas are top notch but their sandwich game is second to none, the best I’ve had in Philly. The bread is fantastic, with a soft crumb complimented by satisfying crust. The phone lines to order can be a pain, my advice is to call after the lunch rush and eat a little later than usual.

Really REALLY good pizza... Some say the best in Philly (Portnoy). It's a very small shop, no dine-in, and you have to wait outside for your food. They have warming cabinets, so if you take a walk to the Italian market, it'll still be hot when you get your pie. There were a few stools outside, but no tables, so you'll be standing and eating if you don't take it home. They do not sell by the slice. They are cash only and there was an ATM inside. Our regular cheese pizza was $20. Pricey, but worth it. Leftovers are good the next day too!
