Ordered the Mac and cheese, collared green, beans, pulled pork and St. Louis ribs. The Mac and cheese did not taste fresh at all and I couldn’t even taste the cheese. I suspect it was leftover for days. Not a fan of the collared greens and the beans were actually the only thing I liked. The pulled pork tasted dried and the ribs were decent. At first, this appeared to be a nice local bbq place, which was close to the hotel I was staying in. I was severely disappointed with the food. Not to mention the cashier didn’t appear to be friendly at all.
My experience with Deke’s was nothing short of Amazing!
My cousin brought me some spare ribs that were falling off the bone!
My mom fell in love with the brisket!
The wedges were perfect also.
I think my cousin has something to do with it!!????????

I made a wrong turn on the expressway came out on ridge avenue so deeks thought wow finally brisket $16 for half a pound they didn't mention before cooked anyway got the food so excited got back on the road actually got home an hour and a half later finally open my food man had to be the smallest brisket I ever seen surely was $16 worth you ain't never lied haha and a funny part was I had told my daughter I was splitting it with her but it was sliced and not pulled so that messed me up and it was six little slices so I gave her three and me three and then no sides came with it it was just the brisket the flavor wasn't there it didn't taste like it was marinated long enough rather would have had pulled brisket our reminders of those wandering around ridge avenue towards dekes, DON'T ????????????. This is an add-on to the reply from Dekes. Thank you for your reply no need to be snippy I was just being honest I did ask questions I did not want potato wedges as a side it was all you had at the time and some other vegetable it's okay I just won't eat there again and yes you can pull brisket and marinated I just assumed that's what y'all did I just assumed it was bigger than what it was for the price it was charged I've paid less for more that's all I'm saying good night

Sadly everything was disappointing last night...to the point where I actually was hungry after diner because I refused to eat the cheesesteak and they gave 6 very tiny burnt ribs for the other. We ordered the brisket cheesesteak, I thought cheese wiz was used, which is disappointing in itself but the cheese was separated and looked curdled. I didn't even know cheese wiz could go bad like that and I'm appalled that they would put it on a sandwich. I almost threw up taking a bite of it. The wedges were pretty burnt but they were edible at least. We also got the baby ribs platter, some of the pieces were kinda tender some were just straight up dry. I remember making a comment that it was like eating jerky. None of the sides were that good, again burnt wedges...a tiny little thing that was considered a slice of a pickle and honestly I can't even remember what came with it because I didn't eat much of it and really did not enjoy it. I can't even say the service made up for anything, the employees didn't seem pleased to be there and quite frankly I don't think they wanted us in there. Overall, I was beyond disappointed with the bbq here and regretful off spending any money there as it was wasted and unsatisfactory to the fullest extent. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

The food is very disappointing.
We ordered half rack of baby back ribs which included 6 ribs (less than a half rack should include), a tiny container of coleslaw (the size container usually used for sauce) and some over cooked potato wedges. The ribs were very tender and have potential but they are totally over cooked and the meat under the bbq sauce is dry. The sides are so small that the price of this is an absolute rip off.
We also ordered the brisket cheese steak sandwich. This was to say the least disgusting looking. They use cheese whizz, I hope, but it looked like it was mixed with Parmesan cheese (did not taste like it) it had granular equally sized pieces through out the yellow and just looked gross, I don't know if it was left in the heat too long and this is what happens to cheese whizz. It didn't taste like bad cheese but it didn't taste good, I never eat cheese whizz.
I did eat the brisket sandwich despite this and it has potential but the meat is over cooked and dry, the sandwich was lacking flavor. This only included potato wedges which were over cooked.
To clear up any confusion this take out restaurant does NOT have a smoker and does NOT smoke their meat. This is OK with me for a bbq place not to smoke as long as they don't advertise that but they need to get the meats right and stop drying them out... It really is not that hard to cook bbq... mist the ribs as they cook or turn the temp of the ovens down.
The food was so bad that we actually deserve a refund but I do not know exactly how that works because we had to eat the food to find out...
Order from somewhere else and save yourself the extreme disappointment that comes after eating poor quality BBQ...

It was horrible and I will never return. The bill came to $100. For two of us and my husband's short ribs were fine. I ordered the spare ribs that were burned to blackness. They poured the Bar-B-Q sauce over them as if the will make a difference. That was our first and last time ever going there.

First of all, don't go expecting that barbecue flava from down south and what have you. That ain't what ur gonna to get.
I happened upon this place purely by accident. I tried to make a u-turn and noticed the signs in the parking lot saying no u turn, and "Customer Parking Only". Now feeling obligated, I got out of my vehicle and went in to check it out.
After checking out the menu I decided to go ahead and get dinner for me and my Babe.
I ordered pulled chicken platter which came with the potato wedges and coleslaw. I also got sides of collard greens and mac and cheese.
It was all good said the least. I did enjoy it and I will be going back.
I do recommend, and I wish I would have followed the lead of the gentleman before me, by getting extra sauce on the side.
If you don't like spicy greens don't get'em. But I do mean to say that this ish was real good, IMO.
The pulled pork sandwich platter is what I got for my better half she said that the pork was nice and tender and as with my platter it could have used more sauce. Again I suggest getting extra sauce on the side. She really enjoyed the potato wedges, extremely good very different I love them too. She like the slaw but end up adding some Dukes mayonnaise to hers, that's her thing, nothing against the restaurant. ???? Like I said earlier I will go back and ask you can see in my photo I give this restaurant...A fork up.

The Brisket here is phenomenal and i’ve been to Franklins in Austin Texas. It was salty and sweet and melted in your mouth in the brisket cheesteak I got. I would highly recommend trying this as it’s one of the best cheesesteaks in Philly.
