Deke's has been a favorite of mine for several years. I was going to their small site on Ridge Avenue until late this Summer. Now I can enjoy the indoor/ outdoor industrial atmosphere of the Berkeley Avenue site at Wayne Junction.
The space is large and safety precautions are in place.
Their ribs are always tender, well-flavored and meaty. My only feedback is to change the potato salad recipe and heighten your corn bread (it's a little flat)...
The mac 'n cheese is good though.
Deke's ribs are consistently good!
Been coming here infrequently over the past few years. Starting out this was a solid place. Food was reasonably priced, quick to make and decent. As time went on a chicken tender platter went from 4 tenders and potato wedges DOWN TO 2 tenders and potato wedges. This was a takeout order, drinking at a neighbor establishment. Maybe it was an error on the cooks. Shells and cheese need a revamp; cheese coagulation, taste, mouth feel have decreased.
I criticize this because I want this restaurant to succeed. They have cut corners, possibly only for take out orders, and their quality and reputation has been sliding.

The meat is delicious their sides and salads aren't as good. The sloppy doc is amazing.
But take their wedge salad for example. A wedge salad is a wedge of iceberg lettuce not a plastic bin full of cut up romaine lettuce.
Would go again. Brining my own wedge salad.

The food was good! I had the wings. You could tell they were smoked, the skin had a nice snap to them. Also had the texas mud loaded wedges with brisket. It was great. They didn't have any ribs. Place had a nice atmosphere. Will be back. Hopefully they'll have ribs!

I get food here once in a while when I’m at Attic brewery next door, and it is always disappointing, without fail. Went yesterday because the Attic food truck line was too long, and got the saddest chicken tenders basket I’ve ever seen. $14 for 2 tenders?! Won’t be returning…

Overall, I really enjoy the atmosphere and MOST of the food I've had at Deke's. I love their potato wedges and have enjoyed their wings, empanadas and salad. However, the barbecue sandwich I had most recently left a lot to be desired. The burger bun itself was delicious (made by a great local bakery), but the chopped barbecue chicken was so dry that it was almost hard to eat. I've heard from a lot of other people that the barbecue is generally dry so I doubt I'll be trying it again. I hope they improve their barbecue because it has real potential.

Highly recommend the brisket cheese steak. This place is never packed and I don't understand why. The food is delicious and the service is always prompt and friendly.

First time having their food on Tuesday was great and the bartender who checked us out was super friendly. My partner and I decided to order here again for tonight. The second time around for pickup? Could have been better. I had to wait for 10+ minutes before leaving to get my food corrected. Watched the rest of the food sit out and get cold while switching the other food out. Didn’t even receive utensils/napkins which was surprising. The Brisket Cheesesteak and Fat sandwich were really good. Shells and Cheese were a let down. It had a glue like consistency, so skip that. Staff again was super friendly but perhaps it was just an off night. It happens to the best of us. We’ll be sticking to going during the week vs the weekend going forward.

The food is delicious. Had the brisket sandwich with cheese wedges and my daughter had the Deke’s Baby back ribs. The meat was tender and well flavored. The cornbread was light and fluffy. The portions were plentiful and the service quick. Try Deke’s. You new favorite BBQ spot.

We order the cheesesteak, cheeseburger, mac n cheese and peach cobbler. The only thing that was actually good was the peach cobbler! I am truly disgusted with this restaurant. We paid $46 on this for it to be unseasoned, barely cooked and bland! I will never order from here again!!!
