First off the decor is unreal and you feel like you’re in your funky dream home eating pizza.. secondly, Wow a place that has a Caesar salad you can actually share for a fair price.. also the lettuce was so fresh it seemed like they were growing hydroponics crunchiest ever!. The pizza is a bit pricey but delicious and you’ll be full until the next day. I got the dip but passed on it bc it just seemed unnecessary.. if there was like pizza crust dippers for the dip I’d be allll over that . We went later to not have a crowd bc the surge. Really cute spot.
The food and drinks were awesome!! I would give 5 stars however the service was pretty slow and it took a long time to get our drinks including water which we waited 20 mins for. Overall still great and I can’t wait to go back! The deep dish pizza was delicious!

Loved the Deep Dish Pizza and the Brussel Sprouts! The only negative was that they were out of the beers I wanted. Had the margaritas instead and they were good

I'm usually hesitant to get pizza at places that offer multiple styles. My experience has been jack of all trades equals master of none. Hook and master nails the pan pizza AND the tavern style pizza. The appetizers are creative and inspired offering new flavor and texture profiles. The cocktails are bold, one even features underberg which is near and dear to my heart. This place is a must.

Incredible food and very cute decor. We had the grilled octopus, Chicago pizza, and the 23 Brooklyn style pizza. Everything was amazing. The ingredients are fresh, and the Chicago pizza was actually my absolutely favorite. You must order it with the dip options (we had the Poblano Ranch and garlic oil). Absolutely delicious. I will certainly be back!

Got their deep dish pizza with roasted peppers house made sausage. It was excellent dough and with incredible sauce and cheese. The crust was excellent as well, crispy and cheesy. Definitely recommend the deep dish here!

This place is SO DOPE. Love the bar set up, the drink menu, the appetizers, and the pizza.. We have tried all the pizza styles, and while they are all good, the Chicago Pan Pizza is just exquisite. This is a great pizza spot, but so much more than just pizza. Get some seafood apps and cocktails, with a pizza on the side...

Ordered the Brooklyn Style Shrimp and Chorizo pie and it was shrimply beautiful. They shoulda named it Prawn & Pork pizza. The shrimp had head on, but it popped off easily and the char on the heads was finger-licking-good. Planning on going back and ordering a deep dish next time. We saw all types of pizzas go out from the kitchen, so I think all pies styles are popular. We got lucky and got a table with out a ressie, but I think you should make one a head of time to get seated upstairs. Definitely a fancier place than your mom and pop on the corner, but you see where the difference are with just how tasty the ingredients are.

These folks are not playing around with pizza. I had a deliciously crafted and baked pan pizza called the Bolognese. It certainly had other patrons around me salivating and wondering what I was eating. I definitely appreciated the selection of Rums at the bar. Pete and the rest of staff provided great hospitality. I will certainly return and try the Brooklyn pie. Dope spot overall.

Great service and vibe at Hook and Master. A little confusing drinking Tiki cocktails (which were great) while eating pizza but the food is good overall! The crudo and the arancini were good but of course you come for the pizza.
Brooklyn style: really good, nice chew and char on the crust, toppings were great
Chicago tavern style: cracker crisp as advertised, with nice topping coverage
Chicago pan style: I wouldn’t really call this true Chicago deep dish, it’s some what a hybrid between Detroit and Chicago style but definitely heavy
