My wife and I went for our 1 year anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere we’ve never been before and weren’t disappointed. Brandon was our host that night. He greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. The view of Broad st. was excellent, even from where we were seated. Zach, our server was very helpful with our menu selection and was very attentive.
The cooking staff must be a well oiled machine. Our appetizers came out in no time flat, and just as we were finishing with those our entrees weren’t far behind. I mean literally as we were finishing Zach asked if we were ready for our main course. 3 minutes and 28 seconds later ( yes, I timed it ) our steaks were in front of us cooked to perfection. This place is everything it’s supposed to be and more when it comes to fine dining.
I just have to remember that next time not to bring the truck. Thanks again Brandon, Zach and the amazing staff who work behind the scenes.
Had a wonderful dinner experience with family. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and had a nice smoky taste. The sautéed spinach and mushrooms were good and the fresh bread was delightful. Our server Niemal was a wonderful person and she gave great service. She new the menu and the wines. She gave us a great recommendation for a white wine that had a fruity yet dry aroma. Chateau Ste. Michelle I believe and yes we looked it.
The other drinks were mostly juice as you couldn’t taste any alcohol in them which is why I gave 4 stars. It might as well have been off the non-alcoholic drink menu. The atmosphere was nice, the background music, the lighting and the buzz around the restaurant made it an overall great experience for my great niece who had never been to a formal restaurant. She is 17 now and very shy so we’re taking her out to different places to bring out her social side more. She enjoyed herself.

What a disappointment! Here’s the kicker I was the one that recommended this restaurant. I’m going to say due to the pandemic this place has changed for the worse. I understand a lot of places are struggling hence we have to start with the customer service. The hostess started out pleasant, but quickly changed her attitude after my sister and I wanted to take a picture together. The table was ready and I think we took too long, we apologized. We sat down for about 7 minutes before we were greeted, the server did not introduce herself by name. It was hi, would you like to start with a drink. Pleasant but not the best, I’m sure there were specials that day, didn’t hear about anything. We ordered cocktails they were delicious! You guys always have complimentary warm bread, well that came right before dinner. I think she may have forgotten honestly. My sister and I ordered the filet medium well. Her’s was perfect, mine was medium rare. We asked the server to take it back o told her and she agreed that my steak was not the correct temperature. The manager came over introduced herself and was perturbed, I had to ask her if she was okay instead of vice versa. She took the steak back, after a couple of minutes she brought my same steak back again medium well on a new plate with runny mashed potatoes and green beans. I was sooooo disappointed, I requested the manager to take the food away. I did not want anything. She (the manager) was very adamant on me ordering something else, she said she wanted to make it right. Hence her attitude did not match her words or actions. After the third try I said ok I’ll just get the salmon with stuffed crabmeat and shrimp to go!( the Salmon was horrible and I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave me the same mashed potatoes from my original meal). Originally we wanted dessert but the entire vibe made us go elsewhere. Soooo disappointed, I don’t know if they were short staffed and under stress or just not happy individuals. Total disappointment, this restaurant is not what it used to be.

The food and drinks were quite good! Our service was not the worst but also not the best but the meal was good. The non-alcoholic beverages were well done also. The calamari is good but you'll definitely need more sauce for the large plate. Portions are good and food is well seasoned. Overall a good experience.

While visiting Philadelphia, my wife and I noticed Mc Cormick's. ????
The outside appearance looked as rich as we felt, so we figured we'd give them a shot. ????
Note: We took into consideration beforehand that they might be pricey because most Steak ???? & Seafood ???? restaurants are.
I'd suggest you check the menu for entrees you think you want to eat before you dine in. Especially if you're paying for multiple dishes. ????
Their menu options are decent. Keep in mind, they're known for Steak & Seafood.
This dining experience overall was pleasant. Our waitress did her best to accommodate our food restrictions. The food was tasty and well prepared.
My wife gives Mc Cormick's two thumbs up. We'd recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

Back in Philadelphia for the first time in over 10 years. I had the grilled Blue Cobia and since I’m dairy free I skipped the mashed potatoes and they gave me double green beans. The pancetta fingerling potatoes and Brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious.
My husband had the ahi tuna and raved about every bite. We finished off with the chocolate silk pie, which was very heavy yet spectacular.

We liked our experience. We ordered ahi tuna and blue cobia and loved it, especially side dishes to come with main course. Drinks: good margaritas but try dulce Sangria!. Very fruity and looks awesome.

I haven't been to Mccormick & Schmick's since before the pandemic and I decided to meet my friends here for restaurant week since we enjoyed this place previously, however this visit was disappointing.
My starter was the Crispy Coconut Shrimp with orange horseradish marmalade (this was the only dish that was actually good and cooked correctly).
My entrée was Bourbon Glazed Salmon with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. I've never had salmon that looked to be flattened like a chicken cutlet and it was overcooked and dry. This piece of fish was too small to be overcooked, how did the chef allow this to happen? One of my friends had the same exact order as mine and hers was also the same way.
My other friend had the Mussels, C.A.B. Top Sirloin with an extra side of Brussel sprouts....her Brussel sprouts came out plain and had to be sent back to be fixed correctly and her steak was not at all what she asked for.
For all of us the appetizers/sides were the best part of everything we had. The biggest disappointment was the dessert....it was supposed to be a Heath Bar Brownie, but looked and tasted more like gingerbread mixed with pumpkin. Other surrounding tables were served what actually looked to be real brownies unlike the dry looking cake we received.
Our waitress, Maritza, was not very attentive at all. Since it was the end of the night we finally asked to speak with the chef. We thought we would be able to since it was late, the doors were already locked and the people inside were finishing up their dinner. It was awhile later and our waitress never came back to us. We flagged her down asking is the chef coming out and were told that she was busy and just took off the price of ONLY one of my friends dessert even though we all complained about the same thing. We didn't ask for anything to be deducted and we never thought that was a thing for a fixed price menu. We were never asked if we wanted to switch for another dessert or anything. How you do that for only one person and not for the other two?
The host was actually more attentive and friendly and even came to check on us at our table. She even said we should've been offered something else and apologized for what we were given. Regardless of the mediocre service from our waitress, we still each gave a 20% tip....I wish I would've gave less and the rest to the host.
I know that the host and the bartender were actually new and only there for about a week, so maybe the chefs were also new because the quality of food is not at all the same anymore. Everyone suffered from the pandemic and we don't mind paying more money for really good food, not for this subpar service. I don't have a desire to come back here anymore unless I find out everything has improved.
Also if you're looking for the closest parking, The Wanamaker garage is right around the corner. Purchase parking off of a parking app instead to save over half the price.

Beautiful and happy people. Good quality healthy food. We ordered a Lump Crab Cake as appetizer. Before they served a bread made in the house. But, the bread tasteless where we did not define whether it was salty or sweet. As a main dish a Craft Beer Battered Fish, a delight. Also, Center Cut Filet Mignon, so tender and delicious. As sides a portion of Grilled Aspargus. Unfortunately they didn't have Lobster Mashed Potatoes. For dessert a cheesecake. The waiters are very polite and friendly. The price is just. I recommend.

I came here for restaurant week and the food was just okay. The adults in my party ordered the $25, 3 course option. The food was good but my chicken was very small and not cooked as described on the menu. When I say small I mean maybe 3oz and I got grilled chicken vs. pan roasted as the menu described. We did order an extra appetizer of the bacon wrapped shrimp. The portion was small and the shrimp a bit over cooked. Desserts were all good and the best part of the meal.
I also don't want to harp too much on service because in Covid days it is hard to find workers but service is slow.
Would I come back probably not. NJ is really stepping up their food game and no need to pay for parking. Try it for yourself if in the area but I would not make a special trip.
