A authentic irish pub serving good irish pub food and above average beer selection. Also with some unique beer mashup's with Guiness.
Tucked away in University city is this fun authentic Irish pub. If you’re looking for a place where you don’t need to ask for a dirty glass, they're provided here. Great place to have a few beers and something to eat with friends. The beer selection is good with a craft beer style for everyone. There mashup beers such as Guiness and Algash White aren't found everywhere. The food was good, served well and tasty.
I'd return, but with a rag to wipe down the sticky tables.
I’ve been going to the New Deck for years and it never disappoints. I’ve tried almost everything but my favorites would be the French Onion soup and the BLT wrap, love it! Service is great, always friendly and quick.

Fish and chips was very good, more fish than batter. The bartender Patrick was great and made sure my beer glass never remained empty! Well done Patrick.

Five Stars! Loved this place. The food was very good. The waitstaff was friendly and the food came out fast even though they were busy! Everyone at the table remarked about how good their food was. They even had Mango Cart, my favorite!

Excellent food that came out really fast. The waitress was pleasant, but it was sort of lengthy between visits. They started to get busier while we were there so it wasn't awful! Definitely would recommend.

We has such an awful experience at this place. They were EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. my friends and I walked in first of all, all of them were hurdled in the corner, not asking any of us how they can help us or anything- this should have been a sign. So I approached one of he servers and said we were there for happy hour and ask whether we could sit at a bar or the table. We were told HH will be over soon. I ask ok so if we want to order food, where do we sit, he said we could sit anywhere. Mind you the whole time, there two other servers sitting down next to him clearly in earshot. So we found a table and sat. Then this waitress who was sitting next to him came and said if we wanted to order. We said yes and she rudely tossed menus on the table and said "we don't sit ourselves here, next time make sure you ask". As appalled as we were, we all said, we did ask, and we were told we could sit. Then she told us we were lying and no one told us that. Needless to say we just left. We clearly weren't the kind of clientele they want and I was not about to subject myself to this. You cannot have an establishment with people who are this rude! I guess they don't really cater to people of a certain hue. I will make sure everyone I know doesn't frequent this place.

Great pub atmosphere, delicious, cold beers…food, not so much. Wife had a salad with salmon, I had the fish and chips. Their salmon seemed to be baked, not grilled, and was mushy. The fish and chips was not good. If they improved on their food, they’d be in really good shape given their location.

Went during March Madness at like 8 o'clock so it was packed but service was relatively quick. Food was good! Mixed drinks were decent. They also have a giant Moscow mule for like $75 and I'm like omg I'd try that if we had more people. Targeted to a younger crowd. I'd go here again.

Best Reuben I have ever eaten and it 100% caught me off guard. I had spent the afternoon at Cira Green, soaking in Philly vibes as it was my last night in the city and I went to cruise around historic University of Pennsylvania and stumbled upon this establishment - oh how the theory of dérive elicits the creation of beautiful situations! I ordered the Grilled Reuben sandwich with fries and a Yards IPA. Super thinly cut corned beef was a different take than usual, but on a flat top grill might allow for more surface area covered in butter or whatever heart stopping goodness that was cooked with. Sauerkraut was on point, dressing was great, and they rye bread was fresh and flavorful - overall, really the best Reuben I have eaten (one of my go-to meals, mind you, so my taste buds are on guard). Super cool soaking in the college vibes and hearing everyone's stories. Service was also wonderful - will be back when I am in town!

This place was highly recommended to me. I Think maybe I had some covid anxiety when came because it felt a bit crowded, busy, other than me I saw one person in a dark corner with a mask on and even though I'm vaccinated covid is still real to me so hanging out wasn't for me. So I ordered and I have to say I was so excited they got me in and out. I couldn't have been in there more than 5 min. I ordered by recommendation the chicken Alfredo and the cheesesteak rolls without looking at a menu to go. When I got back to open my food and eat have to say it didnt look special but you have to get over how plain the Alfredo looks. The sauce was amazing. No season needed. It was thee perfect thickness to coat the pasta. The pasta was perfectly cooked too. I easily would have been willing to pay more that dish it was so good. The chicken however let me down. It was dry and mealy with alot of old bay on top of it like an after thought. The underside of the chicken had a design like the McDonald's ribwich. I just really felt like two different chefs had to of made that meal. One was truly talented and the other cooked the chicken till there was nothing left of it but a briquette then pour old bay on it on after it was cooked and dried out. The cheesesteak rolls where absolutely delicious. They weren't greasy. They weren't skimpy. They ketchup base sauce was a nice touch. Over all if they did they Alfredo with shrimp poach in the sauce or grill salmon this might be a new favorite dish of mine ut the chicken didnt work for me.
