Delicious and friendly staff! Tried the margherita Grandma pie per suggestion which was delectable, the sesame seeds on the bottom were a pleasant surprise. Could use a bit more basil imo!
Consistently the best pizza in the Philadelphia area, I always make sure to visit while I’m in town. Thursday’s during stroll the street they offer slices which never disappoint! Recently, tried the meatball special on their grandma style pizza. BEST PIZZA hands down perfection, wouldn’t have changed a single thing.

Had been wanting to go since the shop first opened, and finally made it last week - and honestly, it lived up to the hype. This was my first time having a grandma style pie and it was amazing! The crust was doughy but light (if that makes sense?!), and the sesame seeds on the bottom was like nothing I've had before. White pizza is my favorite so that's what I went with, and it was cooked perfectly. My friends did a pepperoni and loved it just as much. I will say, I was shocked at how large it was. I'm typically easily able to finish a 12 inch pizza on my own, but there's no way one of the grandmas is a one person job. (I had 4 slices, which is probably on the higher end of how many someone would eat in one sitting. But who doesn't love leftovers!) Totally worth the trip and can't wait to go back!

We were so very lucky to have had Pizza Jawn cater our family party of about 75 people and David CRUSHED IT! Everyone was raving over the different pizzas and italian pork sandwhiches. From the start, David was communicative and easy to work with. He gave great recommendations and made the planning process with him seamless. The day of the event he had a great set up, was welcoming, had wonderful conversations with everyone and was an absolute joy. The food was outstanding and we will definitely be using Pizza Jawn again! 10/10 experience and food!!!!!!

I ordered To go. I was excited to try it out, but it did not meet expectations. The flavor of the sauce was good, the sausage and the pepperoni were also good. Crust was almost on point but too chewy, boderline tough.
The crust looked like almost half the pizza about 3". I paid extra to add ingredients and the quantity added on my pizza was extremely reserved. The mushrooms were not cooked nor seasoned before, I know because part of the liquid on the pizza tasted like unsalted mushroom water, if there is such a thing. Also I like charred pizza, but not burnt. The sauce was a little bit watery towards the parts they actually added Veggies. In general; It was disappointing because in a wierd way I could see the potential or at least I tought so. But $26.00 for a pizza pie that simply did not deliver, especially for that amount.

976th different cheesesteak in the last four years. This Cheesesteak was a huge disappointment. The grill person was distracted/having a bad night/looking forward to going home. The roll was ripped. A lot of meat but it was mostly dry. The cheese that was on there was pooled on the bottom. The long hots are hot. I ate my cheesesteak at Fat Lady brewing. That was nice. I found a Von C Hazy IPA I liked. Everyone there was focused on the customer experience.

You may think to yourself, “Good pizza? Okay! How good could it really be?” Then, one day, it’s a Saturday night, you walk past this brightly painted joint, and order the grandma slices. And everything changes. You can no longer think of pizza as crust, sauce and cheese. It is a now a new creation. One that makes you question everything in the best way possible. Go here.

Pizza Jawn definitely makes the best pizza in the Manayunk area, and I would say it's in the conversation for top 10 in Philadelphia. Go for the traditional round pie or the grandma style with a sesame seed base if you like a thicker crust. The sauce is great, but their dough is exceptional as I understand it is made in limited quantities daily. Margherita or regular cheese (New York) style toppings are enough to let this pizza stand out.
Their space it pretty slick too. Murals on the outside, a large diagram of the Philly Special on the inside, and an edge-lit undulating ceiling.
When it first opened it was nearly impossible to order due to its high demand, but that has calmed down a bit. You still need to order 2-3 days in advance from their website so they can organize their demand by order and timeslot.
If you want to add to your order, I would also recommend the meatball sub The cheesesteak was not quite as impressive.
It’s worth the hassle of ordering in advance and even traveling from other parts of the city for this pie. I have since moved away from the area but still drive a half hour for it. Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports gave Pizza Jawn an 8.1, which you should know is worth writing home about.

I was up from South Carolina visiting my son. He’s been talking about this place called Pizza Jawn since he moved here, telling me it’s the best pizza! Well, I finally had the honor of eating one of these pies and I can surely say it did not disappoint! It was the best pizza I’ve ever had! Everything was perfect! The sauce to cheese ratio was on point! Pepperoni was tasty and the crust……..well that was a whole other level! Outstanding job Pizza Jawn!
