I must say from the outside you come across a door fit for middle earth and entering in is even more unique! The shepherds pie with lamb is amazing to say the least! Every bite is filled with potatoes and lamb!!!! The drinks are perfect blend of deliciousness and whoa! I will be going here almost every time i am in Philly going forward!

I go to Dandelion every time I visit Philadelphia. It's the most unique and beautiful pub/restaurant I've ever seen. Each room and floor is a unique treasure trove of architecture, history, and eclectic objects. The food is delicious across the board. I'd live there if they'd let me.

My meal at The Dandelion was the first time I’ve really tried any authentic British cuisine! The Welsh Rarebit was tasty, and my mom really enjoyed her chilled yellow tomato soup. I ordered the Mac and cheese (I just can’t not order mac and cheese when I see it) and the ham in it was such a tasty addition! My friend had the bangers and mash, which he loved, and my dad had a burger (forgot to take pictures of these). He was a little disappointed in the burger and thought it could’ve been more flavorful, but it was cooked perfectly. Very good service. I had knocked over my water glass and they were kind enough to come over and wipe up the spill. The atmosphere was so cool and a great prequel to my friend’s upcoming trip to London!

This is a review for the dinner menu. Chilled yellow tomato soup had ok flavor, and the whole tomato inside added a burst of extra flavor. The pot pie was super! Deviled eggs delicious. Bread fresh. Superb servers. Bit chilly inside if wearing shorts and tank top though, but to be expected during summer. They also have an street seating option, but I wanted to see the inside.

Excellent location – I can’t say that enough. Rittenhouse Park is a block away and gave me a great spot to relax until my friend joined me. I really liked the setting too. I ate outside, but the inside had a swanky look to it that I enjoyed. Great outdoor seating with many patrons passing by the table on a Thursday summer night. I had the fish and chips that were good (7/10). Big piece of deep friend cod and the fries were delicious wedges. My friend had the tandoori chicken and said it was good. I ordered a whisky soar but would pass on the drinks next time – just too expensive for the quantity. Overall I’d come back for the location, setting and service, and would recommend The Dandelion to anyone looking for a sit down meal in the city.

Great service, good food and excellent location.

They were able to accommodate us on a busy night w/o reservation by making a few changes to their tables, which I always appreciate. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were brought at the right time and in sync.

It is hard to point out our favorite dish as all of them were great! the steak with fries, which come with a fantastic salad was cooked perfectly. The salmon was juicy and very well prepared. The chicken was also very tasty and the mussels were swimming on a delicious buttery broth.

Excellent location with a great English menu and ambience that makes you feel in London, right here in Philly.

Excellent British style gastropub.

Delicious food, nice staff and great ambiance. I always try and make a stop here for a meal whenever I can.

I really enjoy the fish and chips as well as the beer selection. The homemade Ricotta and deviled eggs are wonderful as well.

Stop in if you are in Philly....you won't be disappointed!

This is such a beautiful and quaint restaurant. It makes you feel like you're walking into a cozy little English restaurant. You forget that you are in Philadelphia for a bit. The menu is so unique. One of our favorite things, that we saw, was that it had two tier and three tier platters that had many desserts and or many desserts and sandwiches. They looked absolutely delicious. The people we saw with those tiered trays were people who were sharing the items. The only negative that I could say about the restaurant is that it is not gluten-friendly. I had the shepherd's pie which was gluten free and I also had the burnt orange chocolate pudding. That did not sound very appetizing but I decided to try it anyways and it was absolutely delicious. It was by far my most favorite dessert I've ever had at a restaurant besides creme brulee. I love that this is a calm and relaxing restaurant in such a busy city.

Loved it! The atmosphere! The service and the food! Beer was good. Got there at the end of the day and sat on the second floor. Real busy in the first floor but we preferred a more quiet dinner. Still busy but enjoyable. Recommend a reservation in advance.

Wonderfully cozy spot, especially when it’s cold outside. The dining area has many wonderful nooks and different areas for sitting. The food is great and probably worth taking a group of at least 4+ people in order to sample many items on their menu. Everything I had was really well done and I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Philly.
