Del Frisco’s is one of my favorite steakhouses and this was my first visit to the Philadelphia location. The staff was very friendly and appears that the building may have previously been a bank as there is a large safe room in the lower level. Our waitress was very nice, which is expected at such a fine dining location. However, this Del Friscos was not up to par in service to the NYC location and here is why. In NYC the service is impeccable where the staff makes sure the table is always clean during your meal including scooping up crumbs on your table with a pen-like tool. The bread was good in Philly but is different and better in NYC. Same goes for the side of Mac and Cheese which was also different and not as good as in NYC. The side of mashed potatoes is a must have and was fantastic! We ordered two filet medallion plates which were excellent and just as good as NYC. My filet mignon, which was butterflied and well done which is how I enjoy it, was very good, but I felt there was too much oil on my plate for the steak as well as I had to order a side of sauce which was not on the plate. I know filet mignon should not be well-done, however the display with the amount of oil grease did not represent a $50 steak well.
Nice fancy but not super fancy restaurant. Well worth the money. Very clean. Very very friendly staff. Only open for dinner. If you're looking for a nice bottle of wine you've definitely come to the right place they have what you want, or by the glass. I recommend this place

We were excited to try the steak during our first time at Del Frisco’s. There was a group of 8 of us and the bill came to $1,300. We had a good bottle of wine from their vast selection and the cheese steak dumplings were interesting. The calamari was chewy, dry on the edges, and fishy smelling. Now for our entree- we ordered the Tomahawk for Two at $152, what a terrible disappointment. Instead of a nice 32 ounce intact steak like they picture on their website, we received a platter of fatty, sinewy slices of something resembling steak. Eating this steak, most of what I did attempt to chew and chew was spit into my napkin afterwards. This dinner comes with two sides. The lobster mac and cheese was disappointing, dried out, over salted and fishy tasting and not creamy and fresh like you would expect from an upscale restaurant. The twice baked potatoes were tasty but runny. Another steak costing over $60 that was ordered at our table was tough, sinewy and grisly and our friend threw more than a 1/3 of it away as he couldn’t keep chewing and spitting it out. We never expected a lack of quality at this level of dining and pricing. You shouldn’t leave a restaurant after spending that much money wishing you had ordered something different or gone somewhere else. On a positive note, our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive.

Attended as part of an award luncheon. Downtown Philly is beautiful! Plan parking ahead and wear walkable shoes. A little tough to find as they have two restaurants at least nearby to each other. If you don’t visit regularly you want to follow driving directions carefully. The ambiance was nice. The staff was super nice and helpful as I was a vegan at a steakhouse. They never batted an eye and provided me with a tasty alternative. The program was excellent. The only downside was that there was some construction going on in another area. It didn’t seem as though they thought to provide some sort of sound barrier. So the saws and drills were constantly interrupting the speakers. That should’ve been prevented. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu but everyone at my table cleaned their plates. So I would say the food must’ve been pretty good.

I planned for my husband's bithday for months and Del Frisco's was recommended to me by a friend. This was our first time here and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Joe, our server, was very attentive and informative. He understood the assignment! The meal was delicious and the bread was addictive! And to top it off, the strawberry Cheesecake was smooth and rich. Perfect ending to the night. My husband was very pleased!

Food here is overall very good. A little disappointed in the Prime Bone in Ribeye, not much flavor to it but everything was cooked to perfection. The dry aged Prime was good, though I sort of hoped the truffle butter & scallop topping the waiter talked about looked a little more like I was imaging ????
Fish was good too, crab and lobster appetizers were great as was the bacon. Oysters didn’t disappoint either! Drinks were good too, didn’t have anything I thought wasn’t made well.
Out waiter was great, friendly attentive and helpful for most of the evening.
However, there are some things seriously holding the place back:
The hostesses sucked. I’ve seriously never been to a restaurant where they couldn’t be bothered to take you to the rest of your party or at least tell them you had arrived, and there’s like a minimum of four standing around??? I’m leaving out some details but it just genuinely was a bad way to start the evening.
And the worst part of the dinner, I’m seriously still broken up about this, we ordered like 6 sides for the table to share and when they came by to box meals and everything they just THREW THEM ALL AWAY. Including the seriously amazing mashed potatoes (shallot potatoes? I forget but they were awesome), asparagus, Brussels sprouts, all gone.
It’s not like they asked us either, we were shocked LOL. For as much as you pay I guess I just expected a better experience

OH MY GOD. Probably the best stake I've ever tried in my life. I ordered the bone in prime strip, it was like a piece of art. A juicy, special cut, medium rare steak that you can accompany with mashed potatoes. Cocktails are also good. Pricey, but OK, this is why it is THE steakhouse.

Upscale steak house situated in a building from 1922 where there was once a bank. Amazing architecture with over30 ft ceiling and a wine cellar in the middle. Bread served was butter and honeyed, interesting combination but a good taste. Rib eye was very peppery but great! Asparagus was also peppered but excellent. Service was great, kind and suiting. Great atmosphere for special occasions as well. Located in downtown Philly.

First time visiting Del Frisco, it was our holiday dinner party with the company. Unfortunately, the experience here was horrible. It was very busy and unorganized! The bartenders were extremely rude to my colleagues. Most of the servers were overworked and rude as well. With the exemption of Gabrielle and Liz, both were amazing and tried their very best to accommodate everyone. I do not recommend hosting a holiday party at this establishment. The parking garages were nearly full unless you did valet. A lot of us were super disappointed with our time here.
