Wait in line for half an hour on Sunday at noon, and totally worth it! Breakfast Poutine and French toast are amazing. Love tots with that savory gravy sauce and cinnamon butter came with extra soft toast.
Also got a lamb hash and the cure, which are not impressive. Fried chicken was dry. Lamb was plain.
This place is lovely and i really like the chill vibe:)

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. All the food here is so good but one dish in particular that hits the spot every time is “the cure” with fried chicken. Best believe you will walk out of this restaurant completely full and probably can’t do anything else for the rest of the day lol. It reminds me of food down in the south. Just so amazing! I would love o go back get again if i lived in San Diego! 10 out of 10 for me!

Came here in search of a good burger and definitely got that, but also paid a VERY heavy bill!

I got the Bombay chicken burger with grilled chicken. The combination on that was just amazing! Grilled chicken, cucumber, avocado, yogurt dressing, mango chutney going on and just so good.
Everything just went amazingly well together. The quantity of chicken on there was really good as well. The overall burger size was a bit small.

My fiance got the Meso Tasty Burger (grilled pineapple, sweet onion chips, swiss, red pepper aioli). The flavor on his was really nice as well. He definitely enjoyed it! It was very different from mine so not something I would have had at the same time. But very good all in all on its own.
Good quantity of chicken here as well and it was cooked perfectly!

We were actually very surprised that the burgers did not come with a side. We both ordered a side salad each and that was around 10 bucks! A bit too expensive for a side salad I would say. The portion size of that side salad was bigger than expected though so it was pretty decent. It came with strawberries and pumpkin seeds and balsamic vinaigrette (which we got on the side).

You also ordered the Beet Salad - one each. This was beautiful! We were surprised there was no dressing but everything went amazingly well together! It had a tiny bit of arugula on there which we were expecting more of. So we ended up having some of the greens from the side salad along with the beets. The pickled onions were a very pleasant surprise. This thing even got us so hooked on beets, we went and bought our own to make salads at home!

Portion size on the Beet Salad was a lot so we actually ended up having only half the salad each.

I would say very good food here but you also pay a lot!

Went here for brunch and got the waffles and fried chicken and the Queens street farmer.

First, the glasses had a peculiar smell and seemed like they weren’t washed, the plate I was served in was chipped.
Second, the eggs tasted powdery while the sausage was barely any meat, just fat. The spicy fried chicken was the only saving grace and the reason for the additional star.

All in all, my experience here was subpar and I wouldn’t recommend their brunch.

The food that we got were great and the staff were attentive even if the food took a while. There are so many things on the menu that looks delicious that I would most likely go back to one day. For our visit, we got the chicken and waffles and the croissant sandwich and tots. I do not believe they deep fried the tots because of the way it tasted, but I guess they wanted to serve a healthier version of it. This place makes me reminisce about New Zealand Bec of all the food and motif of the place. I highly recommend it.

The venue is a beautiful old sandblasted house that’s been done up all quirky. They have a pretty cool looking bar area on the inside. I liked the overhanging trellises and old park bench seats.

The food is pretty good, especially the chicken. The avocado burger and hummus dip were also very tasty.

I’m giving this experience four stars because it’s just a bit overpriced. If each dish was $3-5 cheaper, this would be a 5-star restaurant.

Charming New Zealand themed eatery and pub in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. The menu features a variety of specialty burgers. Stop by during happy hour for slider versions if you want to try them all. The cocktails here are noteworthy as well.
The restaurant itself is bright and airy with a quirky, whimsical theme to the decor. There’s also plenty of outdoor seating, making it the perfect place for brunch or a sunset dinner.

Food portions are enough to share. The food isn't cooked to order thus coming out only warm to the touch. I would have preferred a hot waffle and Chicken. Very nice ambience and customer service was great. The downside FOR ME are the pet dogs dining (not service animals), but it is like this EVERYWHERE in San Diego.

Great spot for lunch in a festive, laid back environment. The Queenstown fav burger was juicy and enhanced with a flavorful tomato chutney. The skinny fries were crisp, salty, peppery and the portion size was enough for two or three to share. The raspberry lemonade was refreshing and sweet with a sugar rimmed glass. Rock music on the sound system made for an upbeat atmosphere. Service was fast and efficient.

It’s amazing to dine in at this place. When we got here at Saturday morning around 11am, there’s almost no line, so we got in pretty fast. When we left, the line went crazy long. So I suggest you to come here early on weekends if you don’t have a booked table. We ordered a New Zealand signature meat pie and a porch salad. They are all amazing!!!! I’m not a big meat pie person, but my husband definitely enjoyed it. I loved the fatty thick fries which go with the meat pie, they are probably one of the most crispy and flavorful fries I’ve ever had. The salad is delicious too, the salmon was grilled in perfection. I probably will bring friends and family back here, they will love here as well.
